Mt. Everest Moved 3cm after Nepal Earthquake

Mount Everest has shifted three centimetres (1.2 inches) to the southwest because of the devastating Nepal earthquake, according to Chinese research.

The 7.8 magnitude quake in April reversed the gradual northeasterly course of the world's tallest mountain, the National Administration of Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation found.

Also scary if the tectonic plates are still able to move that much for the Everest range. I hope no one was one it at the time.

Unfortunately there were. It was climbing season and sadly, 18 people died in an avalanche caused by the quake.
