you mean shooting himself in the foot so hard that his rating goes up? no one likes those republicans anyway, he knows who to attack.

I heard a plausible theory on one of the news shows that he's essentially looking for the GOP to buy him out. What exactly he wants, no one knows yet, but the idea is they'll offer him some sort of carrot to drop out of the race.I can believe that.

That must be some carrot.

Doesn't he already own the garden?

Yep! Go against the grain and you will surely gain momentum in popularity. I love the way this man does things. He's quite the entertainer.

I'm not so sure at this point about this being a ploy for new a TV series or something similar. What he's doing now and the point he is at has gone too far if that's the case. All this popularity he's gaining will turn quite negative if he suddenly bowed out and introduced a new TV show. Perhaps if it was for his first show ever it would work out but given that we've seen it all before from him it would be a pretty callous and ill-received move to pull that kind of wool.

As for a buy out? That's ridiculous. What could they offer besides crony deals? We still have debates coming up but in the mean time watching the left explode into hysterics and guessing games and pure ridicule is another entertaining aspect of this Trump show we are watching but the real gold is watching the establishment GOP bang their heads off the wall trying to figure out what to do. They fear he'll destroy the republican brand but isn't that what the establishment has long done for years now?

I watched his speech on youtube from yesterday in Carolina. What he said about Graham and Perry was pretty funny. He starts by talking how Perry's now wearing glasses to look smart and then goes off on Graham calling him an idiot yet Graham called him a few years ago asking to plug his name on some morning tv program. He than says something along the line ... who is this Graham guy to now call me an idiot?... He's so dumb he's making Rick Perry look smart....... lol

they all are, he puts up the best show, so far

I know! Isn't it great?! :w00t: The man's a genius at getting our attention.

Yeah but either way he's gaining popularity, by getting our attention with us either admiring him in what he's sayz or just p***ing us off. Right?!

Controversy sells ratings, man. Think about the way they do it in the WWE and how their wrestlers gain popularity, good or bad. There are many wrestlers we love to hate, yet they are so popular.

I get that purifier but in some hard to describe way Trump is taking advantage of something people are finding too important right now, if deception were his intent, and people will be jacked if he's toying with them about this.

I'm not saying that the GOP will buy him out to persuade him to drop out of the race, but that's what I've heard at least one pundit say. And since I honestly believe he has no chance of even getting to a primary, I can believe it. Personally, I think the first debate will kill his chances of going further.

Ok.

And I think he will wipe the floor with those other candidates.

I'm guessing they are scrambling right now to prepare for his onslaught.

I rolled when I saw Rick Perry today, trying to play hardball while reading from some prepared script. Can't he even memorize his weak attempt at throwing knives at Trump?

Talk about bringing a knife to a gunfight!

Lindsey Graham isn't even worth my effort to type here!

Naw you don't understand, F3SS. I believe he's running for the Presidency alright and if he wins, well that's great, but just a unexpected bonus for him. Because I'm thinking his ratings and popularity or more of a concern of his right now then anything else. He probably believes that he's not sure if he will even win, because it's like a 50/50 chance for him. And if he should lose, all he's got to say is he truly tried and then move on to whatever the next opportunity provides him. You'll believe he truly tried if he lost, right? Because most will, yet he will be 10 times more popular in the end after it's all said and done.

I tell you what though, if Jesse Ventura does decide to get in the running next year and Trump is still running too, I can't wait to see those two go at each other; if it all should happen. That will be highly entertaining.

Edit: Lol. Love the new Avi, ZZ. Mr. Trump has even got something to say about it...

Criticizing someone for using a prepared script? That's like blasting Obama for using a TelePrompter! Guess what? They all use prepared scripts, or at the very least, bullet points to talk from. That's how professional speakers do it. Even in town halls, where the candidate is asked a question, he or she will recite talking points they've prepared in advance. That's called "sticking to the message". If a speaker isn't prepared, they're either exceptional, or they come off looking like some sort of incomprehensible moron.

We'll see if he'll "wipe the floor" with the others. I'm sure he'll come up with some more talking points, a la McCain and Mexicans.

We are sick of that. It's fake. It's calculated. It's rarely their own words. If that's what you want you're gonna love Hillary. Cold, calculated and manufactured.

Too bad if you're sick of it. That's what you're going to get regardless of who wins. The president has speechwriters. Do you expect the president to give his inauguration speech or the state of the union just off the cuff like he's a member of Second City? It doesn't matter whether it's Hillary or Jeb or McCauley Culkin who gets elected, the person is going to give canned speeches. You may as well say, "I'm sick of men wearing suits and women in dresses. Let's change it up!" as if a presidential candidate is going to dress like Willie Nelson.

Oh, it would work for a far fringe candidate, but there's no way anyone who dresses like Willie Nelson, or worse, is going to be seen as a viable candidate.

I'll say it.

Yes.

I would like an exceptional speaker to be the President of the United States. I'd love the President to be an amazing orator. I'd like them to be able to talk off the cuff, to improvise in unexpected situations, and have mastered the art of rhetoric.

Pipe dream, but it would be darn cool.

His fans called Reagan "The Great Communicator," so there's that.

And from your own news site:

http://www.foxnews.c...-trump-meeting/

his threat to mount an independent run for the White House if the Republican Party won't welcome him.

Trump said the Republican National Committee "has not been supportive," and suggested if he does not clinch the nomination and is not "treated" well by Republicans, he'd consider an independent bid.

He hasn't been treated well by the RNC. What a surprise! To Trump only. Jeez, is he really that clueless?

Go ahead and run as a third party candidate. It did wonders for Ralph Nader and Ross Perot.

Of course, he's only "considering" a third party run. That gives him an excuse to drop out entirely, since he won't win support of the RNC, he'll back out as a Republican, but he doesn't have enough credibility to "go rogue" and be an independent through the entire campaign. What he's actually doing is setting up his excuses for dropping out.

Also from the same article:

The visit was overshadowed not only by his comments to The Hill but by a local Border Patrol union canceling a scheduled meeting shortly before his arrival.

Yep, he's gonna win all 50 states in the electoral college, and get 114% of the popular vote. You betcha.

so union canceled a meting, it does not mean much, unions often order their members do things they do not argee or do not want to do. seen it happen many times,

he should have been running independent from the start, it is not him hurting reps, it is them hurting him, by him simply assosiating with them
