Donald Trump Enters 2016 Presidential Race

Many if not all of your posts are negative.

Well, this is the US Politics forum brah. What do you want from me? More sunshine and daffodils? That's only for my special girl. And you're not her, so....

Who would you like to see elected?

My personal preference as I've said numerous times is Rand Paul. Even with his lumps and warts he's still miles above the rest. I disagree with him on some issues and I think they're principled disagreements, so he's not his father, but he doesn't have to be Darth Vader to resonate, he can be Frodo Baggins and still win. You'll laugh when the Donald bullies Rand onstage though, eh? He's probably going to smear Rand Paul for his hair based on the kind of crap Donald says.

Speaking of hair, you don't have a terrorist beard like ZZ Top, do ya ZZ?

i'm guessing he's a fraction as wealthy as he claims and is being paid an ungodly amount of money by the Dems, and interested parties, to stage this reality show to screw up the Gop's chances in 2016. Welcome Mrs. President *!* now i suppose you want proof or facts to back up such a preposterous statement?

I could still vote for Cruz or Paul. They're about squashing the IRS. Where is Trump on taxes...?

Ron Paul, ZZ. Anyone else is wrong for Mr. Y.

I've heard of the young Turks. I recall catching them on a YouTube spiral not so long ago and quickly hitting the back button. Don't remember what it was about but I know I found them instantly irritating. Makes sense since I made it only 15 seconds into his broadcast after the people spoke before I hit stop. I don't mind swearing but some people are just bad at it and he instantly sounded like an uppity ahole.

They do seem to rather take the attitude that anyone who doesn't support Mr. O is mentally deficient in some way, and they do use words beginning with F rather a lot. Or rather, the same word rather a lot.

These people are so easily led by rhetoric. Obama's speech he made about Iraq was one of his strongest selling points too. Just words.

Trump doesn't fit into the same box other Republicans do? What issue does he differ from the GOP establishment on? They've held the same views of the border and illegal immigration for years. Trump just runs his mouth and calls them "rapists", that's the difference. He's allegedly (according to himself) flip flopped on health related issues, how convenient. Of course there's no substance to it, he just runs his mouth about that too.

Indeed, the levels of shallow ridiculously simplistic rhetoric is absolutely mindbending. And for the record, I dont like the infantile behaviour anymore than some here do.. but the guy does make some very valid points. Interesting to note some can easily identify the infantile content in this young turks clip, but fail to do thesame with mr. Trump.

Right on brother.

I remember how you reacted when I mentioned Trump was #2 in a poll in some obscure Vermont poll or whatever it was. Now he's way out in #1 in the national polls. How much worse do you think of my country now?

Do you remember the video you posted that had an Ivy League study in it (Yale?) about how legislation has basically no correlation to voter opinion amongst voters who aren't super rich? If you can pm me the link I'd appreciate it!

I think he should dress up like a Hobbit for real, and produce a Lord of the Rings-ish satirical video on Youtube as a Bilbo or Frodo Baggins type of character. The unlikely hero, the little person who would save the world. I think that'd be a half million dollars well spent in the grand scheme of things these days.

Somehow in this new millennium I believe it's better not to run away from schoolyard attacks on your appearance, but to own it.

The Donald (Al Donald in Arabic) in the debates tomorrow: "You're a politician. You're all politicians. I'm not a politician. What do the American people expect from their politicians? What can the American people honestly expect from you? Our politicians have been a disaster, and the American people are sick and tired of it!"

I do think that's very largely it, yes, but the trouble is that if he was ever Elected, he'd have to do politician-like things, so he has teh options of either declining those politician-like things and letting someone else take care of all that (which is how it's been under most recent Presidents anyway, with most of the important/disastrous decisions, particularly in matters of foreign policy, being driven by the neocons and the Prime Minister of Israel), and being just a powerless figurehead like the President of Israel (can anyone name him?), or of trying to do it himself despite his complete lack of politician-like experience, and probably making as big a bollix of it as mr. Obama.

This man is a guarantee for major, major conflict. Very disconcerting on several levels. This is what happens with a growing percentage of the public at large resembles the average Fox viewer.

The Don at the debate tomorrow night:

Question: You have 30 seconds Mr. Trump. Tell us why the Rs should make you their nominee.

"The difference between me and the others on stage is they are politicians. By the way... Hillary Clinton was the worst Secretary of State EVER.... I was a businessman. I built things and sold things. Im new to this. They answer to their donars. I used to be a donar so I know how the game works. I give you a donation and later on I call you up and you say, "Hello Mr Trump.. how can I help you?" That's the difference between me and them. I don't need any donations. That's why I can't be bought off. I don't care. I'm really rich. The american people understand this(and don't really relate to it) and can trust a guy like me to make America great again."

So what are his plans for doing that, other than building a wall to keep out Mexicans? What are his plans regarding foreign policy? Will he be under Israel's thumb? does he believe that the government of syria should be overthrown? does he believe that Russia does actually pose a serious threat? Does he have any actual opinions or knowledge about any of these areas at all?

Ive youtubed him every night for the past few weeks and watched his speeches and interviews. I avoid watching other pundits opinions. I form my own opinion on him based on what Ive seen him do and say in those speeches and interviews. He's been somewhat AWOL the past couple days though I didnt search last night.

In a recent interview... I believe it was the Morning Joe show he said it would take some time to go into detail what would be his plan to make America great. In past interviews hes blamed an unbalanced tariff(blames chief american negotiator mrs Kennedy) with Japan and Mexico as a primary cause for the fall of american enterprise. As for Israel I remember him saying the iranian nuclear deal was a bad deal for israel so I assume he backs Israel but he usually rants about not securing the release of americans held by Iran. On Russia all hes basically said is hed get along with Putin unlike Obama and work out a deal.

The common thing I've noticed is from interview to interview he does use the same talking points and catch phrases. He usually lays blame first by insulting somebody than immediately mentions how opposite he would do the deals like nothing can stop him from getting political deals done like they're bueiness deals.

And I'll say it again. He subliminally drops Hillary's name in the middle of conversations that arent even her being discussed.... the most frequent line he uses is "she was the worst Secretary of State EVER or of all time". $100 he says that again tonight in the debate.

Everything of, by, in, from, about, concerning, or relating to the Obama Administration is to be painted feces brown. That's the easy path politically, and the whole damned train of 'em is on it.

When the incredible dummies on Fox News Channel ask Donald their important debate question about whether John McCain is a war hero or not: "Look, if you listened to what I actually said, here's what I said, I said maybe he is a war hero." 100 points

When the FNC robots ask Donald about the border with Mexico: "Look, I love Mexicans." 50 points

"I love John McCain." 500 points

"Mr Huckabee you recently said that Obama is leading the Israelis to the door of the oven. Would you care to explain what you meant by that, sir?"

***Insert Zionist narrative here*** 1,000 points

I think you just nailed it Yam. I hadnt payed much attention but was wondering WTF was Huckleberry doing running again. Its obvious he's a supporting actor in this edition of the Presidential Reality Show.

Meanwhile, the puppet the establishment wants in... Jeb(not Bush... he's called Jeb now) will be portrayed as the cool, calm and most viable candidate to lead the RNC against her majesty queen Hillary.

But which of them will promise to blow Iran off the map? That'd be the vote winner.

If that's the case then Hillary Clinton is Queen. Hillary said she'd "totally obliterate" Iran, so she's years ahead of the GOP at finding the winning rhetoric.

Best bit is the excuse to justify the old fool; if you can find no other way to excuse him, fall back on the old "pah, people are just being politically correct" argument. Yes, this is just the man we want as leader (at least the figurehead) of the most militarily mighty nation on earth.

Actually maybe (conspiracy theory #3:) the blundering old fool is a plant to make America's current crop of "diplomats" look models of old school diplomacy in comparison.

People who would want him as President with his finger on the nuclear button are going to come tell me about nuclear security in the rest of the world? They should hope not.

* Though sometimes the truth does come inadvertently spilling out of his mouth. Trump’s Triumph: Billionaire Blowhard Exposes Fake Political System

Though I wouldn't be at all surprised if the powerful people who support him didn't see that there was anything embarrassing in saying that at all.

Donald Trump on Megyn Kelly: "You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, Blood coming out of her wherever."

http://www.cnn.com/2...ment/index.html

wtf lol, is he even psychological able to be a candidate, every candidate should do a psychological test before running. "blood running from the eyes and from wherever..." maybe he is hallucinating.
