UM-Bot Posted June 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2015 A Russian government official has proposed an international investigation in to the moon landings. In a recent Izvestia newspaper column article Russia's Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin used the recent FIFA corruption probe as a basis on which to suggest that US authorities had overstepped their boundaries and that international investigators could just as easily look in to some of the more questionable aspects of the Apollo moon landings. Did you know that according to them, there aren't any Nazis at all among the "freedom fighters" defending civilization from the Russkie menace in eastern ukraine? The SS insignia, that's just over-enthusiasm and excess of patriotism. Washington Post is virulently liberal and I wouldn't defend them in any way so not sure why you would post this or what you point is? My point was mocking the swill the Russian press puts out but if you are saying the US press is just as bad then hey, I am right there with you as the US mainstream media is now basically the adjunct propaganda machine for the DNC and completely untrustworthy. Goebbels would be proud of the job they do protecting the glorious leader. Worst offender is the NY Times, though, then the Washington Post, at least IMHO. So having dealt with your defense of the Russian media I have to ask, do you think the US didn't go to the Moon, land and return to earth several times? "hey look, the nutty russkies believe the moon hoax rubbish!!" So you are saying that Izvestia, a paper which is a staunch supporter of Putin, is working for the Neocons ? As I have said in other threads recently, it is sometimes a good idea to ask yourself the following question: Does this actually make any sense ? seeder Posted June 18, 2015 #11 Share Posted June 18, 2015 “We are not contending that they did not fly [to the moon], and simply made a film about it. But all of these scientific — or perhaps cultural — artifacts are part of the legacy of humanity, and their disappearance without a trace is our common loss. An investigation will reveal what happened,” Markin wrote, according to the Moscow Times translation.http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/russia-calls-investigation-into-whether-us-moon-landings-happened-10327714.html

Popular Post ChrLzs Posted June 19, 2015 Popular Post #16 Share Posted June 19, 2015 Just in case anyone is gullible enough to take this ignorant excrement seriously.. NO videos were 'lost' or covered up. NASA were forced to re-use some of the original Apollo telemetry tapes as the tape material was in extremely short supply AND the data from the tapes had already been extracted and duplicated. In hindsight, it is true that with current technology we could have gone back and extracted very slightly higher quality video footage from some of those tapes, but the difference is not great and NASA really had no option and made the correct decision to reuse the tapes at the time. As far as the rocks - the entire rock collection has been cataloged and most (some is reserved for posterity, but may still be viewed onsite) is available to any serious requester, eg science organisations, credibly credentialed researchers, even schools, can request sample/s. As far as I am aware NO-ONE has ever made a genuine complaint about not being able to get access to the samples. The entire catalog of ~382kg used to be online (and what a boring document that was..) - I'm not sure it still is, but if you hunt around you will easily find out how the samples can be requested, and where the nearest ones to you might be... This truly is the sort of article I would expect from hoaxers like "beforeitsnews", and if this comes from a genuine source, they need to be slapped upside the head for giving a lunatic the space to poop this garbage out... If anyone needs any verifications of what I have outlined, you will find it easy to Google (try to stick to credible sites, please..), but feel free to ask.
Doc Socks Junior Posted June 19, 2015 #17 Share Posted June 19, 2015 Truth, schools can request samples. I got to see some moon rock thin sections myself. And if you've ever seen a thin section of a lunar basalt as opposed to a thin section of a terrestrial basalt...the difference is really striking.

xYlvax Posted June 19, 2015 #22 Share Posted June 19, 2015 Russia is willing(almost) to unleash hidden documents about all of the alien races operating around here. I still don't trust any official source. If aliens "come here" apocalypse begins and some of the ones here will act like saviours when they orchestrated it. There are some here quite positive and helpful. Consider this message or ignore it. I'm just spreading the word.
qxcontinuum Posted June 19, 2015 #23 Share Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) so why will Nasa wipe out the original video content of a such historical event? If true this is indeed showing it was all bs. Edited June 19, 2015 by qxcontinuum
Popular Post ChrLzs Posted June 19, 2015 Popular Post #24 Share Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) so why will Nasa wipe out the original video content of a such historical event? If true this is indeed showing it was all bs. BECAUSE, as I explained above and you completely IGNORED, they needed the tapes for another mission and could not procure anything usable. They could either re-use tapes (from which data had already been duplicated) or not collect ANY data from the newer mission. They made the only choice that was sensible. NO video footage was lost. It had all been transcribed off the tapes. It is ONLY in hindsight that we now know that we could have used modern techniques to do better processing and gain a *slightly* better image, that this is seen as a mistake - even IF they had that knowledge, NASA could not afford to simply throw away new data. Here QxC, as usual we'll do all the research for you. This is quite a good coverage of it. Don't go read it, nor think about the choice NASA had to make - you just sit back in that armchair making more silly proclamations. Space Commander Travis Posted June 19, 2015 #25 Share Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) ok so what has Putin done that is soooo bad? he doesn't do what the neocons that have take over the US Government want him to, that's what. Therefore he's receiving the same treatment that so many other tyrants - Castro, Chavez, Saddam, Gadaffi, him who's in charge of Iran - got. Sadly, however, the necons forgot that Russia is powerful enough to stand up to such bullying.
