Anyone here remember the original Project Avalon forum?  That one went down hill and I think I recall it then became a pay to join affair.  After that I joined The Fortean Times forum.  A place where your views we're heavily scrutinized if they didn't meet the status quo of long term members and (often) rude moderators who abused their roles imo.  I nearly wore out the ignore button on that forum before quitting.

Anyway, I've won...again

Yes and you deserve a congratulation dance:

I attempted to join the Project Avalon website (original?) a few years ago but I quickly got discouraged by all the information they required. Originally, I just wanted to read topics in that website.. I was not even able to create any topic there. I was just curious and that website discarded the curious who don't actively participate, which I find legit.

So I gave up then I became member of the Project Avalon Facebook group, which I never pay attention to after joining (little or no activity there).

I can imagine how much you used the 'ignore' button ^^

What have you enjoyed in your Project Avalon experience?

long before the internet everybody had teletext.  You could post a message to your own TV screen via a posted letter.

We called that 'minitel' ('télétel') in France. It seems archaic now but it was useful then.

The Earth would be different if we had no moon.

How different?

For one thing, oceans wouldn't have high tides and low tides.

Wrong. There'd still be high and low tides but smaller:

" But without any Moon at all, our tide patterns would be much simpler, and only the Sun would contribute anything substantial. So our tides would only be about 40% as large as a typical tide is today. Not the biggest of deals, but definitely something we'd notice. "

Since I'm doing nothing about it, you're still the last one.

I've spent a good day today (it's 10:21 pm here in France right now). The weather was ideal this afternoon: a sunny summer day but not too hot, a pleasant wind. I don't look forward to autumn.
