Hillary has already "won" the Dem Nomination

In an article about Trump, this came out from the top behind the scenes guy on the GOP as far as the 2016 election is concerned.

“I don’t think he’s going to do that,” Priebus told Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren. “I think he knows that if you’re going to beat Hillary Clinton — if Hillary Clinton is going to get beat — there’s only one party that’s going to beat her: It’s the Republican Party.”

What if she's not only found guilty of using her private email acct for confidential emails but then found guilty of lying about them and hiding the emails? Why is she the heir apparent/anointed one?

Can't Bernie get the nomination? Everyone in the middle class and poorer should be looking hard at that guy. Or maybe Biden? He comes across more pragmatic, genuine and authoritative. And he doesn't seem easily put off, fake or self entitled.

Hillary, Donald, either way we're still screwed.

Load up and be prepared.

I can't believe that so many of my American neighbours (yes, I spelled that right) already consider those two as your 'best'/'only' choices.

Quote; "Load up and be prepared." What, to move to Canada?

No, be prepared by stockpiling and having weapons. Of course, my friend. It's going to get messy.

I'll give you a tip, stay away from yellowstone, live in the mountains or in a barricade underground.

I'd be very surprised if Hillary is still running by next spring (March?). I think Biden will get the nomination hands down. Bernie is a good one for discussion and gets the loud far left excited, but he doesn't have a chance at the central swing vote. Much like Ron Paul last time. He plays a good game, and makes a lot of good points, but doesn't have a snowballs chance in real life.

Hillary is basically digging her own grave by going off script. She says stuff like, "I never got any Classified emails", when if she thought about it, she would know that was not Entirely true. She's playing at half truths and technicalities, and she expects the American Public to just believe her. OR, at least she did once expect that. Today she's trying to backpedal so fast that she can't keep straight what she's said and where. Yet, the media collects everything and seemingly they have sniffed blood.

Of course she will be the Dem`s Nomination, we had our first Black president and now its the women's turn of chance. I just hope who ever it is knows what in the hell they are doing. The only chance the republicans have of wining, if they get someone who knows :)

I've watched every interview and speech Trump has made since he threw his hat in. The guy pumps her tires constantly. He subliminally mentions her name all the time. Those who have watched all his appearances know what I'm saying. He'll be talking about a subject that has nothing to do with her and all of a sudden say " Hillary Clinton was the worst Secretary of State ever" and then continue on talking about whatever the hell he was saying. Just yesterday in his Iowa speech he was going off talking about how Ross Perot ruined HWB's re-election and how nobody would know the name Clinton if it weren't for him.

It isn't going to take much for her to get the nod. Most voters could care less. Put it this way. The average liberal voter is more concerned today... at this exact moment... that Whitney Houston's daughter passed away today than giving two damns about Hillary's ignorance regarding GOV emails. It just doesn't matter. She's a woman. Women are overly self conscience. Hillary is only human in their eyes. Donald Trump is raping them with his comments ensuring her victory.

Listen to her first speech a few days ago in Iowa... if you can stomach it to the end(it's a long 17 minutes though very short for somebody who is trying to convince you she should be POTUS for 4 years)

The whole speech is full of Collectivism.... primarily based on male vs. female division.

If the Dems are going to dump her (I don't believe they will) then they'd better do it soon. Sanders is not electable nationally and Biden just isn't a serious candidate. I think America has shifted far enough Left that she WILL be the next president. None of our adversaries will take her seriously. The dangers the world is facing in the next few years are on a par with the run up to WWII and THIS is the person who will be calling the shots? It all seems like a bad dream that I can't wake up from.

I think anyone seriously calling the republican nominee at this time is acting silly. The primaries are just now kicking off and polls mean almost nothing as they haven't even had a debate yet. The scene will be vastly different a few months from now and I can almost guarantee that Trump will have withdrawn to threaten third party run right up until he'll have to pony up some serious dollars to do so. What Trump has done is bring out how very angry the republican base is at their party and leadership, who they gave power to only to see Boehner and McConnell roll over and vote in Obama's budget and give Obama everything he wants, breaking promises they vowed to keep. Trump, poking his finger in some smarmy leftist reporters chest and telling him that people don't trust him makes us cheer as our side is continually pummeled by the radically biased media. I think Cruz got the message and came out of his corner and savaged McConnell on the Senate floor. People like the attitude and are enjoying the show, for now.

The democrats are a far more interesting spectacle at the moment because Clinton, who has been seen as the nominee for a long time now and who has been soaking up campaign dollars for years, is very weak in the polls. Extremely weak in the polls and anyone who doesn't see that is clueless. She is running against an generic republican and losing which is a really bad sign at this time in the election cycle. Worse for her is she has no up side upon which to repair the damage and there is no sign that her troubles will disappear because she has a propensity for starting a new fire just as the last one is tamped down and simmering in the corner. Worse that that is that she is BORING and a terrible speaker. She really doesn't like people or campaigning and it shows on her face and in how she carries herself and the young people that Obama charged up couldn't care les about her.

She'll get out of this e-mail mess just like she got out of the Benghazi mess and the Clinton Library mess and the whatever mess but each one damages her a little more. If she survives the primaries she will enter the election cycle as damaged goods bleeding money and looking foolish. Sanders is 73 years old and an avowed socialist who excites the far left, the only democrats interested in the election at the moment, but will not attract the moderates. Fauixcohantas hasn't enetered yet but she will crush Hillary and Sanders if she gets in.

Sadly, the one democrat candidate running who is electable, IMHO, is Jim Webb and he isn't getting any traction at all. If the republicans run some idiot I'd cross sides and vote for Webb without a problem but the far left owns the DNC now and Webb isn't radical enough for them.

It's a ways off before the official nomination and I really don't believe she will get the nomination. She's just unelectable.

She tries so hard to be everything to everyone-speaking with a southern accent down south, common folk accent in the midwest and intellectual nerdiness in the northeast that all those coats of paint are beginning to flake off and show a rusty unreliable jalopy underneath.

The right thinks she's a lefty loon, the left thinks she's a corporate/wall street hack. It has to backfire sooner or later if it's not all rigged.

Oh good lord the accents! She is so horrible at them that I can't believe she still tries but one can guess that no one has the balls to tell her she sucks at it. Just listen to this gut churning drivel

This article made me LOL in real life....

http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-clinton-likability-20150727-story.html#page=1

Have you heard that Hillary Rodham Clinton is now a grandmother? Surely you have. But did you know that as a young girl she wanted to be an astronaut? Or that she played on a softball team called the Good & Plenties, with pink and white uniforms?

The source of all that information is Clinton herself. And actually, just call her by her first name. "Hillary is fine by me," she recently told a New Hampshire voter who asked how he should address her.

After more than two decades in the public eye, Clinton entered her second presidential race this spring with nearly universal name recognition. But her campaign staff viewed the situation differently, calling her the least-known famous person in the world; the public view is of the former first lady, senator and secretary of State, but not the woman herself. So as Clinton tours early primary states and holds intimate gatherings with voters, she seems to go out of her way to share the kinds of details voters may not have known.

Her effort to be relatable has been mocked by "Saturday Night Live," among others, but it is vital to her election chances: Polls have shown the public taking an ever-more-dim view of her since she left the State Department.

So, she's going to Pretend to be friendly and relatable just till she gets into office.... Hummmm.... OK, that's not going to work for me. I value Honesty.

I think Biden could prevail if he were to enter and bad odors keep coming up from Mrs. Clinton's history. Of course Clinton has an unbreakable hold on most of the black vote, so she might pull it off even if much worse things come out about her poor judgment -- and that is all the various scandals really are -- nothing really corrupt. Therefore worse news about Clinton would probably be needed to get Biden into it.

Regardless, I don't see how any Republican stands a chance no matter whom the Democrats select. Mr. Bush maybe, or a dark horse, but that's all remote and now possible only because the election is still a long way off.

As a foreigner I have to say I see the Republicans destroying themselves by turning off group after group out of prejudice -- some Republicans are of course worse than others. This is one of the big undemocratic aspects of American politics -- the closed primaries where minority views can determine the choices and the public ends up holding its nose when it votes because they get two undesirable, or at least less than optimal, candidates.

A better system would be a general primary where all candidates appear on the same list, followed by succeeding primaries filtering out the weakest each round until someone gets an absolute majority and is elected.

Clinton has no such hold on the black vote and I doubt that they will be a factor in the primaries as they usually aren't.

I would say that Bush is far from a sure thing. I don't want anything to do with him and his poll numbers aren't indicating any power house moves so not sure why you think he is popular.

The primaries are strictly a party thing so not sure what you see as undemocratic about them? Maybe you don't understand that the primaries are merely there so that the different parties (democrat, republican, libertarian, green. socialists etc.) can pick their individual nominees to compete for the office of president.

A better system would be a general primary where all candidates appear on the same list, followed by succeeding primaries filtering out the weakest each round until someone gets an absolute majority and is elected.

Shouldn't the republicans be allowed to select their own nominee for president?

For the first time, maybe ever in modern times, Independents like myself, are being allowed to vote in the Oklahoma Democratic primaries. I will do my best to actually get to the polls and vote in the northeastern Oklahoma for an actual GOOD candidate which *I* support (and to hell with the rhetoric about "throwing your vote away" or "taking votes away from x"). I voted for Ross Perot, I would have voted for Nader if we had been able to get him on the ballot, and I'll definitely be voting for Sanders. The problem with the "discouragement defense" is that if ENOUGH people vote for Sanders, HE *IS* the candidate, not someone taking votes away from "the real candidate".

Sanders? So you're a socialist not an independent I take it?

One doesn't exclude the other, is the beauty. One is a political party, which the other parties have made clear. There is no "socailist party" so clearly whatever you're talking about is in error. And independents are, honestly, despite the binary rigging of the system, more like the atheism of politicis. They're not a party but a rejection of the current parties.

And given the way it's presented by Sanders, yes, 112% I'm a socialist, if that's what it takes to get equality, opportunities, fair wages and improve quality of life. Democratic Socialism is far superior to Oligarchy or Theocracy. You want to take a poll and see which of those the majorty of people want? You may be surprised. If we still had a Democratic Republic, that might be a good second choice, but alas that ship long ago sailed. Oh well. You work with what you've got.

Socialism fails everywhere but then again so does liberalism (see Detroit, Baltimore and New Orleans) https://en.wikipedia..._Democrats,_USA

Except the majority of peaceful, liberal, socially responsive nations in the world, many of which have very strong economies. Like, almost every country besides the US and all the other counties it is constantly entangled with - allies as well as enemies. We send kids to the military, shoot each other weekly, watch as our own citizens and veterans starve and fear the people supposed to be protecting us and legilsating our rights, while other countries have free healthcare and colleges and aren't embroiled in wars so long that their youngest adults don't remember when they were NOT at war.

So yeah, socailisism fails - except for ALL the times and nations it hasn't.
