Anomalocaris Posted August 13, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2015 Bears often look cool under pressure, so scientists were surprised to find out that the large predators nearly have a heart attack when drones approach. The study, published in the journal Current Biology, highlights concerns over the use of drones around bears and other wildlife, given that the devices can make animals’ hearts race. Ashotep Posted August 13, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 13, 2015 (edited) I bet they could trigger a heart attack in some people too. Edit: I wonder how they react when seeing a hunter, 4 wheeler, etc. I would like to know if these things also increase their heart rate like the drone did. If not then drones should be kept out of National Forests and parks. Edited August 13, 2015 by Ashotep
Dark_Grey Posted August 14, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 14, 2015 If not then drones should be kept out of National Forests and parks. That's the crux of the whole bigger issue - how can we "keep drones out" of anywhere? Some are the size of cell phones (or smaller)
travelnjones Posted August 14, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 14, 2015 I think private property should equal private air space for sure. at least up to 100 feet
Infernal Gnu Posted August 15, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 15, 2015 This is exactly how we all will react soon when buzzing artificially intelligent autonomous killer drones zero in on us outdoors or smash through the windows of our homes and eliminate us and robots take over the world.

Goodnite Posted August 21, 2015 #7 Share Posted August 21, 2015 Maybe they like the drones, like people like thrill rides. Heart rates go up then also.
