Drinkable Book may save lives

Still Waters

Recommended Posts

A "book" containing pull-out pages that can save lives by making polluted water drinkable has been developed by scientists.

Each page of The Drinkable Book, as it is known, is impregnated with bacteria-killing silver and copper nanoparticles.

In tests conducted in Africa, it made water contaminated with raw sewage as safe as North American tap water.

So as long as you don't loose the "special holding device" ..... Also, there's always iodine, and boiling....

It is interesting, but it is kind of like the cigarette lighter built into a cell phone case.... Just doesn't seem practical for everyday use.

You got a point, and if the targetgroup consists mainly out of people living in areas in the third world with a lack of clean water, sale and distribution in itself will be a challenge.

This is the first crowd funding I've ever given to. Clever, clever people.
