that might be harder than you think, for starters, what is intelligent?

Certainly not what's being delivered is it?

Far be it from me to challenge the validity of the preceeding question, but how can we ever hope to define "intelligent", when the word is followed by, "but snappy"?

Can't you think of snappy but intelligent answers?

Could be butt snappy ^_^ like chasing with a towel- but wait, isn't that more likely in another universe completely immersed in intelligence eh!??!??  Oh I so love the spell check in here makes me look so intelligent.

An example of the idiocy that I'm talking about. N'cest pas?

But! wouldn't complete immersion -- in any universe -- pretty much rule out the physics that make butt snappy possible?

Zany, are you serious or did you  really mean stupid?

So you want snappy intelligent answers... shouldn't the same requirement also exist for the questions?

I'm a big fan of slapstick but can 'stupid' really be all that 'amusing'?

Did I really had to specify I was thinking of questions deliberately made to sound stupid for the humorous effect?

Of course not, but what about the casual (& possibly stupid) observer?

Do I really have to specify it was 'you' in general meaning, referring to any person or the people in general?

Should I also make it clear now that I meant that 'general' as in 'concerning all of them' and not in the sense of a military rank?

And it all could have been avoided if only I used 'one' instead of 'you', but people tend to react negatively on that perfectly good pronoun, so could you tell me why is that so? What is wrong with that (obviously) better solution?

(No, not the saline or similar solution, I used that 'solution' in the sense of answer to a problem, if that won't make this thread implode?)

Doesn't the fact that I asked leave open the possibility that I would have accepted both/either?

Absolutely, but don't you know by now that I love reacting in advance?

How on earth could I have missed that?

So, like, are you asking if I believe that, in general, people are surprised by that (see above) with some regularity, OR that there is a particular group of people who regularly are?
