Challenging U.S. Foreign Policy

When they inflate the money supply, our money pays for it in real value terms. That $1200 in your savings account gets milked. When they inflate the national debt, we're on the hook for that too. I don't know who owns the Fed other than to say that We own the Fed, we're the ones with the power to change it. We're the ones with the power to change anything. Like all great social change throughout our history, it takes real people just like you and me to suffer physically and even die to make the change happen, long before the next political puppet gets up on a podium and takes the credit for it. And we'll be dumb enough to believe the next one too, and let them take it.

Bernie Sanders has the attitude that resonates with people and rightly so, he just uses the wrong well of power to draw from. If he was some private citizen saying the kinds of things he does he'd probably be chained to a prison bed too. He's in the real protected class though, an elected government official. Their crimes never end, and they never pay for them. Richard Nixon took it about as hard as they ever do. And just like Hillary Clinton's emails, it had nothing to do with his war crimes.

I still question the real story of Kennedy , Martin Luther king Jr. too for bringing attention to the wealth gap between the rich and poor . It's sickening when you realize that some people are off the chart, there's no chart to place them in, they have way to much. And what she did when she worked with Nixon. How could Obama have not known she was using a private server. The private server scandal , something was up with that.

ETA - I don't know who's crimes they really are.Sometimes I find it difficult to think that all this is not intentional, because it could have been prevented.

It would price employment right out of the market and drive unemployment through the roof. It goes straight back to affordability and prices. Wages are prices too. The higher they are the more unaffordable they become. If you're currently making $14.50/hr doing roofing work far more skilled and difficult than the guy at the McDonald's drive thru window and suddenly he's making $15/hr well you'll get a $0.50/hr raise by law and how is that "fair" by any stretch of the word? They'll have to pay the construction workers more than $15/hr if there's to be any relative scale to wages in the system that makes the least bit of sense. Small companies can't just pay huge bills to keep their employees that Bernie Sanders arbitrarily thinks they should. $15/hr might make sense in Seattle, it does not make sense in Birmingham or Detroit or New Orleans or Youngstown.

Rand's flat tax has issues too. Everyone's paying 14.5% income tax, but then the flat taxers runs back to cover their necks with replies like "Oh, well for a family of four making $80,000/yr they will pay no income tax." Really Rand? What about a family of three making $75,000? Wherever they draw their lines at, it's not going to be "fair". Eventually somebody's going to be paying the same tax rate as the super rich pay, and when it's a flat tax it doesn't take very long, and those people are getting royally screwed. I'm tired of taxation being based on whether or not I have kids, whether or not I'm married. Stop managing our behavior, stop punishing people for not making decisions govt officials prefer us to, stop discouraging bad behavior with prohibitive taxes. Taxes are supposed to be sources of revenue for government, not vehicles by which they control our behavior.

They're high for corporations:

At 35%, the United States has the highest nominal top corporate tax rate in any of the world's developed economies.[1] However, the average corporate tax rate in 2011 dipped to 12.1%, its lowest level since before World War I, largely due to the great recession and a bonus depreciation tax break.[2]

https://en.wikipedia...e_United_States

What do these tax lowering Republicans have to complain about since 2011? The lowest effective rates since World War 1 under the socialist villain Obama, well, well, if they actually cared one iota about what they're always whining about, they'd approve. Why do we need a thousand pages of code to piddle away from a ridiculously high rate like 35%? Lower the rate for all US companies, throw out the code book, and get out of the way.

I've got a good flat tax rate for US innovators and manufacturers who promise to keep the production here --> 0%

I get it. That's the problem . I see it like this, the super rich are way off the chart , no one even knows all of what they have, monies unaccounted for. They keep the next level of wealthy people below them by making standards difficult for them to reach the level they reached - and so on down the ladder. It's suppose to work the opposite way tho, it's suppose to trickle down into the economy. But really they're just p***ing on us.

The class warfare arguments don't work on me for a simple reason. If I felt I had a right to control other peoples' money, and if I was an honest and consistent person, I'd have to welcome them to come control mine. Beyond that, there's way too many "rules for me, but not you" in the Rules already. We should start picking those weeds out of the garden not planting even more of them in it. The red hot rhetoric that suggests we're going to strip rights away from rich people, just because they're rich? Is that really what we want? Is that what a free country looks like?

I don't blame anyone for being rich, I blame them in a proportionately greater way, for what they spend other peoples' money on. In an ideal society, the rich, of all people, should have the least of all to say about that. They can most afford their own son's and daughter's airfare to Baghdad, Tel Aviv or Beirut and actually do something about the things they have endless rivers of empty rhetoric for. Don't join the US military and make me pay for it. Go live in Israel, or Iraq, or Afghanistan, or wherever the hell it is they want to go, and join that military. If they won't do it themselves, how dare they tell anyone else what they must do? I'm tired of these fashionable hypocrites lying to us and making us believe that our kids should go fight and die for their nonsense.

I'm very careful about assigning govt power to address every new issue as it comes to our political attention. To me, every new issue we face is another opportunity to keep govt out of it.

Govt should play linebacker and block the holes that develop in the line, but the marketplace makes the best line. Even if ultimately the guy with the badge and the gun has to show up and play a small part in the process, the amount of things we the people could do on the leading edge of our problems would make the govt largely obsolete. But we're selfish and lazy and ignorant, but we also vote, and obey the law, and pay our taxes, so we feel entitled to ignorance and hypocrisy. With as ignorant as we are as a nation, we can't even question what our govt is doing overseas, and that is so, so sad. Americans are like tyranny's pawns, and we're flushing France and half the world down the terrorist toilet with us.

They can't understand liberty. They can't understand that us having the liberty to keep our own money so they can't go spend it on Syria is the solution. They can dump as much of their own money down whatever rat hole they want, but they won't do that! They're going to come lecture me about Socialism and Islam, and supporting the troops.

It is not class warfare in the sense of where you're taking it to in this paragraph. I'm referring to the 1%, and you're making it about something other, like a politician would do, isn't that what they do? I won't defend the 1% in that sense. They have made it a class warfare.

I have no animosity of wealth,I have no animosity period about anything, especially wealth earned honestly. Martin Luther king Jr. made too much noise about the gap between the rich & poor and he's no longer around. I doubt that he meant rich in general but the same 1% that continue to destroy others for their empires of wealth. When good people rise up they either don't make it to leadership or they are taken out.

The issue is not new, it's the same cause of inhumanity over and over . It needs to be addressed, aggressively.

The solution is ending the federal reserve act. It's corrupt and unconstitutional.

Yamato, your first paragraph confused me about where you were going. I too am careful about the class warfare issues that I hear people complaining about. I'm not focused on that tho, it's the 1% that I place blame on for destroying everything, everywhere. The Federal Reserve are most likely owned and operated by outside sources other than American sources only. I know it's said that no one owns it, but someone came up with the idea of it .

I don't see how it's justice that we can blame the 1%. I'm sure there's a lot of good people in the 1% and they would have to do something negative to me beyond merely having money for me to make them into a political target. The 1% reminds me of the Occupy movement. Where did Occupy Wall Street go? The Dow was 12,000 in 2011 now it's 18,000 four years later, nobody's protesting anymore and Hillary Clinton is soaring in the polls so it looks like another failed occupation to me.

Should I blame Peter Schiff? I'm not sure what for? Because he's in the 1%?

The Fed considers the Federal Reserve System "an independent central bank because its monetary policy decisions do not have to be approved by the President or anyone else in the executive or legislative branches of government, it does not receive funding appropriated by the Congress, and the terms of the members of the Board of Governors span multiple presidential and congressional terms.

Audits of the Reserve Board and Federal Reserve banks may not include:

  1. transactions for or with a foreign central bank or government, or nonprivate international financing organization;
  2. deliberations, decisions, or actions on monetary policy matters;
  3. transactions made under the direction of the Federal Open Market Committee; or
  4. a part of a discussion or communication among or between members of the Board of Governors and officers and employees of the Federal Reserve System related to items (1), (2), or (3)

Yamato, I'm not ever going to defend the 1% . Especially not an off shore banker.

Professionally, Schiff is CEO and chief global strategist[6] of Euro Pacific Capital Inc., a broker-dealer based in Westport, Connecticut. He is founder of Euro Pacific Canada Inc., a Canadian registered global brokerage firm headquartered in Toronto, with offices in Burlington, Ontario; Montreal; Vancouver; and Tokyo.

He is also founder and chairman of Euro Pacific Bank Ltd., OFFSHORE BANK based in St. Vincent and the Grenadines; founder, CEO, and chairman of Euro Pacific Asset Management, LLC., a asset management company founded in Newport Beach, currently relocated to San Juan, Puerto Rico, since 2013; and founder and chairman of SchiffGold, a precious metals dealer based in Manhattan.[7][8] He repeatedly expresses bearish views on the US economy and dollar and bullish views on commodities, gold, and foreign stocks and currencies.

Yes.... Christian and Jewish Zionists. Its pretty obvious once you dig into the so-called written record of military and political history in the past hundred yrs or so. Studying the jewish holocaust is a great place to start because there are many holes in the official story that are confusing and its this particular part of human history that is used to justify just about every single western military intervention today. And without the private Federal Reserve none of it would be possible.

The Zionist lobby, the Saudi lobby, the neocons are alive and well and getting the band back together so they can out-Obama Obama. We're criminals under international law. It is illegal to just go bombing other sovereign countries because we don't like their leaders. Are Americans this stupid or do they simply not a give a ****?

Israel is a country under international law, and so is Syria. People need to be elbowed in the jaw like Holm on Rousey for this blithering hypocrisy. We've killed estimated between two and four million Muslims since 9/11, which happened not so Bush could get his war on in Iraq, but because we're killing Muslims. They kill us because we kill them, so we kill more of them, and so they kill more of us. This war is a racket and we're the criminals as on the side of ISIS terrorists as not who are perpetrating it.

Okay? So there shouldn't be any other banks people can choose in the free market that provide a different business model and a different investment ideology for their customers? Why? Why would you support the banks by decrying their competition?

Give me one real reason to oppose Peter Schiff.

I can't imagine that you'd be in favor of this guy Peter Schiff.

http://www.rawstory....h.IG0AOSej.dpuf

I can't believe that you'd be against Peter Schiff, one the greatest opponents of Federal Reserve policy on the planet. For what? Are you suggesting mentally retarded people can't work? Are you suggesting minimum price fixing schemes from Washington and paying them $15/hr too? Are you suggesting forcing companies to hire them for $15/hr? What's the problem here exactly? Why would we engage in political attacks on people like this just for thinking differently? Maybe we should watch the whole interview first instead of only being fed soundbytes from TYT who only seeks to find the dirt in the cloth.

The Young Turks? The Young Turks politicize everything and slandered Ron Paul the minute after he was #1 in the polls in some of the dirtiest attacks anywhere in the media. I don't get my marching orders from Cenk and even my crush on Ana Kasparian has its limits.

"What job are you going to hire them to do for $2/hr? " Really Cenk? How much are YOU going to pay them? What jobs are YOU going to hire them for? Why don't you stop playing your smarmy PC word games from behind a desk and offer some actual ideas on the righteous thing to do with (insert politically correct language here) when you're dumping personal attacks on the next libertarian. The point is, and this goes straight to Bernie Sanders central planning model, if there was no minimum wage, retarded people could get jobs.

But what??? They can't collect wages? They can't do anything that makes them feel fulfilled? Can't do anything that makes them productive citizens? How dare you, Cenk? We have to control their wages too, to tell them how much they're valued, how other people besides the ones cutting the damned paycheck value them? Are you kidding me? Put your money where your mouth is, Cenk. Then I'll listen. Until then I have no reason to believe that Peter Schiff's thinking is worse for handicapped people than Cenk Uygur's.

They pay the retarded guy $2/hr, they value him exactly $2/hr more than you do, Jenk. Jerk. When he puts his money where his mouth is, and shows the world how much to pay retarded people and for what work by actually doing it, or at the very least deferring to someone else who he thinks Peter Schiff should be exactly like, then I'll take this latest TYT smear job of Peter Schiff seriously.

Laughing about Peter Schiff's politically incorrect language. Are the liberal word police going to come after me now for using the word retarded? I do support Peter Schiff, and Ron Paul too, Cenk, but if anyone here wants to have a love-off as if they love handicapped people more than I do because I support Peter Schiff, bring it. I used to subscribe to TYT back before they spent more energy attacking free market capitalism than neoconservatism. When they went after Ron Paul, that crossed the line.

Should I post a new thread attacking Cenk Uygur personally for all his stupid bs? It wouldn't be difficult and it would be deserved. I don't think that's very gentlemanly quite frankly, and it's not gentlemanly when it's done to Peter Schiff or Ron Paul either.

Yamato , did you see this?

In a free market the middle class would be swelling, not being strangled to death. In the video, the capitalist is the one "guaranteeing". But in reality, that's what the government does, Ella. The free market doesn't guarantee anything. The current system is a fraud Ella, under all the rules and regulations in the system we have today, it's an Oligarchy with a capital O, but there's no Sheriff in town to prosecute it. Those evil greedy capitalists pay for their crimes. Obama's foreign policy is what gets away with mass murder.

Making wealth the enemy is misguided thinking. We can use great wealth to do great things, not scorn it and devalue it and consume it. The enemy isn't wealth, it's control. How do you control people? By offering them a product or service? Of course not! You control them with government. The Owners who use their money to control the world, even destroy our national freedom and security for their narrow-minded and evil pet projects overseas, they're the real Enemy.

I have a question for everybody: How many more Muslims does the West have to kill before it's a holocaust?

Amen brother. It's like behavior has nothing to do with it anymore and the focus gets turned into a witch hunt on people with money! Americans are like brainwashed drug addled skeletons stripped of our humanity and what was left of our values long ago.

Must identify the potential troublemakers - and neutralize them.
