Challenging U.S. Foreign Policy

What you've learned about Socialism is correct, except it doesn't end with Obamacare. The lesson applies to military contractors too. What do you think the military planners are doing, spending their own money? They're spending yours. Militarism IS Socialism.

Why does Ravenhawk or you think you're entitled to take the money that I labored for, and us it to rage and destroy others, because you think that your ideals are greater than mine? It's the exact same thing. It's best to not only learn why Socialism is bad, it's even more important not to participate in it.

I heard that Sanders said he wants to be the one to continue on the Obama legacy..and I heard that if either he or Hillery get in office Obamacare would be here for good..and that , I don't know how true this is but I've heard something about Sanders & Obama being selected for the supreme court? I'm not certain if a former president can take that position or not. I wouldn't know why one would want to after all the stress of being president.

I'm guessing that by mentioning RavenHawk you're referring to our Nations funding of something Is it military funding that you're referring to,because you mentioned me as well and I thought I made my feelings or my perception of Israel & Palestine clear in that I don't approve of what Israel has done to others over there..

I recently watched something or listened more so to it while painting and what I was hearing was how the Palestinians didn't really want the land there and that to be called a Palestinian from way back in the day ,like to say where you were from was an embarrassment for the Arabs to say because it meant you were usually Jewish and that the land archeologically is historic tied the the Jews then it is to the Arabs who are the people now labeled Palestinians..It was interesting but still,I don't condone all that the Jews do,especially bad people that abuse their power, not all Jews are bad as not all Muslims are bad but I don't or can't ever trust either one of them, because of their old religion that they believe makes them better then the rest of the world.I trust none of them Yamato.

Well the President can't repeal Obamacare. He can try to convince or cajole Congress. Bernie's main gun would be the bully pulpit. He's p***ed off, and he probably should be, and he's going to let people hear about it. Sanders would be vilified in the mass media once the back room deal makers come out of the woodwork defiling him for not playing their dirty games. And when you're vilified by our media, you're vilified by our people by extension.

If I wasn't such a gentleman I'd start volleying the Zionists' most dirty trick against them for a change. That is to say, "You don't support Bernie Sanders? You're anti-Semitic!" They would deserve nothing less than to get unfairly slammed by their own empty insults every time they whine about President Sanders. Put them in their own kitchen and make them eat their own cooking.

I don't approve of what Israel has done to others over there.

To the point that we change policy, or just stay the same and disapprove inactively?

I've been asking a lot and I definitely need to know here, where/what/who are you watching/reading/hearing?

All the more reason for a non-interventionist foreign policy.

In a nutshell, each nation goes above and beyond to defend its national interests and establish new ones, quite often on multi-tiered levels. Russia is doing it, so are we, hence conflict. Propaganda is the unfortunate element that affects both sides. Unless cooler heads prevail, relations could continue to spiral.

So Russia and the US then, what about all those other nations? Don't they have "national interests" to defend? Maybe they know a secret we don't.

The fake theme of all these Republican gang members is that government is so stupid, we shouldn't trust government, government is wrong, government is bad, government is too big, government is blah blah blah blah.

And then as soon as they cross the invisible lines drawn by said blah government, it's the smartest damned thing in the world, it's exceptional, it's good, it's righteous, powerful and fabulous. So what is this fake force that exists between one side of the invisible line and the other? Either it's bad and stupid and blah blah blah, or it isn't.

Notice how the right wing (and of course the Democrats) graciously, foolishly, deliberately and utterly ignored over the meaningful $$tory on Obama and the military. The big story we focus on here on UM is that Obama told Americans to be nice to Muslim people!!! *romble romble*

Ron Paul is absolutely right. This is Welfare. It's foreign welfare, and yes folks, it is Socialism. It's a socialist welfare racket. I don't know who our right-wing friends who keep whining about Socialism think owns the military, but they really need mirrors and hey, that's what this thread is all about.

You know what, I'll throw our neocon followers a bone. At least you're patriotic socialists. And in your minds, you think that makes it okay. The patriotism absolves the socialism. Sorry to upset anyone's political sensibilities, but like hell it does.

Unless someone can explain this magical power I'm supposed to believe in, that as soon as you cross the magic line -- the one thing that you can't trust for anything becomes the thing you can trust for everything. Galadriel and Gandalf and Dumbledore and Saruman combined couldn't pull off a spell that incredible.

No magic involved ... its usually referred to as the 'screening' process ... more often than not these days they are well prepared from their very early years ... comes the day cometh the man (or woman) as the case may be ~ the curious thing is, as unreliable as the human character is , it is still quite reliable when comes the right time for the right situation ... even to the extent of relinquishing ones own life ... all in all it is not the body or soul but the mind ... and the mind is quite malleable, like it or not, for better or for worse ...

The only thing that is not so reliable is the foresight behind the think tanks ... character makes or breaks it all ... but character only shines as best as it is nurtured and placed in the right environment ...

Well since Iranians say "Death to Traffic!" I will embrace the neocon wisdom that Traffic preemptively attack Iran.

Moreover, since Americans say "Damn those teenagers!" I will also endorse teenagers to come into all/whatever Americans' homes and totally intervene in their lives. Because after drinking the neocon kool aid, there must be a major social price to pay for sentencing our children to eternal damnation. It's what's worth getting violent over. Words. These people ought to walk around to the other side of their beverage stand and drink what they're pouring. The moment they're subject to their own crap, they'll cut it.

Graves are never empty and an empty grave is just a hole in the ground ... :)

Midgley, c. 1930s–1940s

***

On October 30, 1924, Midgley participated in a press conference to demonstrate the apparent safety of TEL. In this demonstration, he poured TEL over his hands, then placed a bottle of the chemical under his nose and inhaled its vapor for sixty seconds, declaring that he could do this every day without succumbing to any problems whatsoever.[5][8] However, the State of New Jersey ordered the Bayway plant to be closed a few days later, and Jersey Standard was forbidden to manufacture TEL there again without state permission. Midgley would later have to take leave of absence from work after being diagnosed with lead poisoning.[9] Midgley was relieved of his position as vice president of GMCC in April 1925, reportedly due to his inexperience in organizational matters, but he remained an employee of General Motors.[5]

Sometimes death is all they have to live for ... cheer up Yam my man ... the world will balance it self out in the end ... long run or short ... it is never painless, that's what makes mankind the greatest evolutionary miracle there is , sooner or later humankind has to fit into the scheme of things that is the natural balance of what there is and ever was ~ slow it may seem to you and I , but inevitably there is no other possible way, by then it will seem almost nothing less than miraculous, either that or there will be none of humankind left in existence, in which case none of anything now will matter anyways .

~ a hole will still be a hole and graves will still matter to no one or anything in the natural scheme of things.

If we scrub morality from the grand equation, that would make sense. But meanwhile people are suffering and dying.

We're in a region killing people for over 25 years and we have to wonder what the problem is? The problem must be Islam! Because whatever it is that motivates them to fight back must be the problem.

Chas Freeman, former US ambassador to Saudi Arabia under Reagan on sending US troops back: "It is a gift to ISIS. The more we're over there, the more we're going to see them over here." What's the big idea to do from here that almost everyone can agree on? Drop a lot more bombs.

The thing is what I see is 'morality' being the central core of the issues mentioned ... or rather the ill defined not to mention at times skewed universality and not a lack of ~

It has been the key misdirection tactic for the longest time , better to focus the helplessness on something that they seem to be able to look as if they are able to do something about rather than something they have no means of facing ... or perhaps something they have no intentions of solving as they see it not only as not a problem but more disturbingly something that profits them absolutely ...

Now the question evolves to being - who is this 'they' that we speak of ?

So many often times uses General George "our blood, his guts" Patton's most famous quote out of context ~

"The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other b****** die for his."

... as if dead b******* can be defined nominally by racially detracted boundaries or strictly defined based entirely by means of nationality ... the other b****** can just as well and easily be anyone other than oneself ~

How about putting the two together and having some moral universality like the Golden Rule? Nope, NO SIGN of respect -or even the occasional acknowledgement- of that. In fact, it's a microcosm of the South Carolina electorate around here every single day.

When I see stuff like this, I don't have to wonder why Donald Trump is so popular.

We don't even know who we're at war with. Someone raises a flag and says they're ISIS so that's good enough for that bomb target on that day. Meanwhile, others are fighting against ISIS and many are paying with their lives and we're at war with them too. The people who ISIS kills who we happen not-to want-to kill? They're less Islamic than ISIS is, apparently.

So overlooking that our foreign policy is schizophrenic nonsense, what we are accomplishing is a great racket to make ignorant and bigoted people blame entire populations for Islamic culture, religion, history, ethnicity and nationality. The problem with over 99% of the people over there is geography. They're in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Another universality is that people don't like to be told what to do by foreigners, people don't like criminals and occupiers such as those involved in criminal occupations. People in the Middle East are reacting how I hope every American here would react if the exact same crap was done to us.

If Kuwait grew bananas, Iraq would be a Banana Republic. Iraq would be Rwanda. The Fed altar boys and nuns on the financial news are crying especially hard for Boeing and Lockheed today. Good thing Obama is funneling massive amounts of wealth into exciting new military contracts. His successor will need more toys to play with so whether it's Commander Hillary or Commander Donald we trust, Obama's got 'em both covered. Hoorah.

Russia's leaving Syria, aside from their air and naval bases there. When do we? Why would a Russian withdrawal cause our schizophrenic nonsensical foreign policy to change? I have to expect Hillary Clinton (Jeb Bush et al) still wants that classical precursor to war, a no-boots-on-the ground no-fly-zone to protect Syrians from ISIS's nonexistent air force. A "safe zone" that does nothing to protect Syrians from existent ISIS/Al Nusra (Al Qaeda) forces on the ground.

From the video:

Russia's surprise announcement yesterday that it was beginning a withdrawal from Syria sent shockwaves through Western capitals. Russia considers its mission accomplished and will leave only a small force behind. Will a political solution produce results, or will the US and allies continue efforts to overthrow Assad?
