6pm start time, so still 3 hours to go

Clad in Guy Fawkes masks, thousands of supporters of Anonymous, the anarchic hacking collective, are expected to attend the march from 6pm on Thursday.

further down that page

Scotland Yard said the march must not continue after 9pm and must be limited to a section of the West End including Trafalgar Square, where the event will start, and Westminster.

Chief Superintendent Pippa Mills, of the Metropolitan Police, said: "We will always facilitate peaceful protest and have a strong history of doing so. However, over the last few this event has seen high levels of anti-social behaviour, crime and disorder.

Its going to kick off, the weather might put a few people off, but you can bet these "anti-capitalist" will be sporting the usual Guy Fawkes mask, high on cocaine and intent on trouble - I hope the Police get stuck in and smash a few skulls.

I do hope none of the 'anti-capitalist' crusties get injured......It's a nuisance having to transfer from Job-seeker's Allowance to Disability Benefit, isn't it?

We should shoot them. Cheeky beggars thinking they can protest about things like our greatest generation being allowed to die of thirst in British hospitals while British doctors withold the pain relief to save us all some money. We're skint, fgs!

We cannot afford Mercy. Not right now.

i was being, in case it wasn't obvious, sarcastic, referring to the fact that the brave gang of anti-Capitalist protesters known as as Anonymous, if that isn't a contradiction, spend most of their time huddled behind a computer screen viewing the world outside with fear. BBC news have one picture of a burnt police car. No big "threat".

Sky news have the same reports, with the same police car.

Some violence broke out after groups of protesters departed the agreed route

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-34741434

Well that was expected, hence all the police. There are always the odd (and I mean that in more ways than one) few who are intent on causing some form of violence.

Some where shouting ""Whose streets? Our streets" , well, until I see you face and am satisfied you pay your taxes for the upkeep of the streets, sorry, but they are not. And what do they intent to do on the streets, apart from pi**ing up the walls?

Thousands turn up for Million Mask March: Anarchist protesters torch police car and 'launch fireworks at horses' in clashes outside Buckingham Palace and the Hunger Games premiere in London

Thousands of masked anti-capitalist demonstrators have descended on central London for a Bonfire Night protest

Video footage taken tonight shows activist with his face covered smashing up flaming police car with metal railings

Officers battled to contain crowds as bottles, cones and fireworks were launched at police horses during clashes

Earlier, three men carrying knives, smoke and paint grenades, gas canisters and lock picks were arrested

Anonymous, the anarchist hacking group behind the march, told those taking part, 'police are not your friends'

I'd say so, for example

oh dear, Anynynous can't work out how to use Twitter? We should live in fear of their epic l33t skillz.

Is an example of someone saying "l33t".

Same police car again.

But why did they have to attack the horses? Just because a police man is sitting on them, does not mean the horse should be attacked. This is how low they will go!!

If this is how they treat the streets, they should be kept off them, and have no right to call the streets theirs.

I am not a police woman and actually do not even live on land, but I use the streets and would be damned if this lot think the streets belong to them. They would try to bring carnage to anything just for sake of causing trouble.
