Paranormal Panther Posted November 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 28, 2015 Does anybody else watch this? I might prefer it to both "American Horror Story" and "True Blood". It somewhat reminds me of the classy Hammer horror movies of yore. The characters are intriguing, and the plots aren't borderline camp.

Paranormal Panther Posted November 28, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted November 28, 2015 Is it similar to the "Carry on" films? I plead ignorance on those films. It's a horror series set in Victorian England.

ShadowSot Posted November 28, 2015 #5 Share Posted November 28, 2015 Me and my girlfriend enjoy it. Did enjoy that they have humanized the monster while leaving it monstrous.

ShadowSot Posted November 28, 2015 #7 Share Posted November 28, 2015 \ I keep telling you that i am not a female and I am not your "girlfriend". Eh, you sure? Large, hairy, and obstinate. Sounds like a girlfriend.
Paranormal Panther Posted November 29, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted November 29, 2015 Nope. It's more "supernatural Ripper Street". I just found out what the "Carry On" movies were about, and they weren't even in the same solar system as "Penny Dreadful". People, with a *very* dark sense of humor, might not agree. That's one of the best things about the series. Chandler's emotional struggles, with being a homicidal werewolf, epitomize it.
