Witch claims she can kill computer viruses

Recommended Posts

Tiggs

To excise such entities out of a machine, she uses a variety of techniques—she might place stones on top of the computer, clear the dark energy by setting an intention with her mind, or cleanse the area around the computer by burning sage. The time it takes to clear these viruses depends on the nefariousness of the entity, she says: sometimes it takes just an hour, other times it can take up to four.

There is not enough coffee in the world to compel me into reading that madness.

But hey, to each their own.

I wonder what she does with the Virus Demon after it's trapped in her magic Bowl?

She kinda looks like my Aunt, but a deranged version.

Anybody who has the slightest idea as to how a computer virus operates knows that this is some serious BS.

Astra.

What is disturbing - is that there are those out there - who are probably gullible enough to believe this.

I wonder how much she charges by the hour :-*

I was just thinking about hiring her to curse Trump's campaign.

That's tough magic to counter. You need a full coven for that.

If it were me, I'd tell people I had to perform the dreaded rituals alone. Then I'd clean the computer, add some baubles, burn some incense, then let them back in.

Maybe bring a vial of coloured fluid "containing the essence the harmful essences" of the virus.

And charge a magical price.

To bad the interviewer didn't bring a computer with a virus on it for a demon-stration. I keep an amethyst on my computer, but I usually remove viruses the old fashion way.

I don't believe her. And yup, I'm interested in these things, and I have a belief in them. ( to a point ;) ) But, I guess, because I have an interest in computers too, ( to a point ;) ) I don't believe she actually does this.

Maybe in some cases, there are some form of minerals in the stones she uses that might affect the computer and the hard drive or such. Maybe in other other cases, she goes through all of the dramatic portrayals of what she does, while not showing the customer her way of turning the computer off and on again to reboot it. ;):P

So, the nefarious "gullible virus" is still rampant in the home PC crowd?

I think she took "Ghost in the Machine" in the wrong way. :w00t:

Or, she's a flat-out techno con-artist.

I could just imagine her putting in a thumb-drive, and infecting the computer with a "special, time-synced program"

Con: Inserts thumb-drive.

Computer: Starts acting strangely, perhaps with a mix of "disembodied voice files and disruptive graphics"

---- Victim is frightened.

Con: Having rehearsed a script with time-delays she starts "talking" to the computer.

Computer: The computer "answers" odd questions and displays bizarre screen graphics, all provided by the program she inserted.

---- Victim is further frightened.

Con: Money is required to "cleanse" the computer before it infects the home or victim!

With a magic stone I can wipe away any computer virus, as well as everything else.

Hey! Don't give me ideas!

I've already got a cunning plan under my magic witch-pseudonym 'The Great Virusio'!

I'm thinking black cloak and hat, and sinister black goatee beard to add to my witchy mystique
