Hillary Clinton's nightmare

Put yourself in the President's shoes, you either:

(1) Let Hillary burn and the blood on your hands is exposed, your "legacy" is devastated, or

(2) Protect Hillary and subsequently yourself, your "legacy" may be tarnished for a bit - but in reality the hate mail will be directed to Lynch.

The sins he is hiding are more egregious than letting Clinton walk. He will protect himself, Hillary is merely along for the ride, and ensure his part in the history book contains no scandal. Whatever backlash comes of this debacle, it certainly won't be his problem...

Why would this stick to the guy? Obama has been in office for 7.5 years and as far as the press and popularity polls are concerned nothing has been his fault since he was sworn in! The man himself gives speeches like he is running for office and will fix all the problems when he gets elected! I have never seen anything like it in my life.

That said, I agree, this will be all about protecting his so called legacy and whichever course of action best suits that need will be chosen. I have little doubt that if Hillary is guilty and the administration punts that Comey and some of his top people will raise royal hell and be all over the news shows and writing books etc. regardless of Valerie Jarrett's threats, in fact he'll make sure everyone in the world knows about her threats and who wears the pants at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. At least I hope he is that kind of man but all I have heard about him that is the case.

What I really want to know is how she got that inside info? It is scary that our most secret intel was being fed to a character like Sid Blumenthal who Obama specifically barred from participating in his administration. Should Sid be prosecuted for espionage?

He should, like Clinton, however how would that ever happen? If Hillary walks, Blumenthal walks because then there is no crime. And if you don't buy that, Blumenthal walks because: "Blumenthal had the goods on Obama’s mysterious past and controversial communist connections that made him susceptible to blackmail by foreign agents and interests."

You're right... what is truly scary is the access of information this guy has, that no one else seems to have. Or at the very least, he gets it first.

If I was God, you'd wake up tomorrow morning and Cynthia McKinney would be President.

Ah, so you would be a Coercive God. Force what you want on people. Good to know.

If I were God there would have been more than just Jesus. Especially since some other guy (Joseph) paid to raise him for me...

Guccifer extradited to the US at the FBI's request. The extradition request was entered in December, shortly after it was discovered that Hillary had Top Secret info on her personal server. Guccifer hacked Sid Blumenthal and thereby got much of Clinton's sensitive documents. It is highly unusual to extradite a hacker for violating personal privacy

Hum, very interesting indeed. I see this as a positive swing toward indictment, however we all know how slippery a Clinton is.

Is it merely a coincidence that the hacker's name is Lazar? :alien: Perhaps ...

I don't expect any justice for Mrs. Clinton and that will be its own crime but I'd dearly love for the FBI to dig out the b******* that were feeding TS info to Sid the Squid.

I'd be pranking like there's no tomorrow Diechecker! No fire or brimstone though. Just someone who understands that govt occupations are wrong.

Which folds nicely into a President forcing what he wants. It's okay when a President does it. "Strong leader".

"If I read a top secret document and type what it says into an unclassified email and then send that email to someone on an unclassified network, where it is subsequently stored on an unsecured server, is that email now unclassified?"

Yes or no?

Love the new font size! Spanky! ;)

It sounds like it effectively is unclassified the way you word it. Whether your stack of assumptions is entirely true or not, if damage was done to the country over these emails, the indictment can't come soon enough for the sake of the country, or this democracy or this election of ours. Beyond that, there's too many more important things to care about, like our rights. Government secrecy is super critical to a right wing statist of course, but it's small potatoes to me. I'd prefer that now that she's no longer Secretary of State, her emails get revealed to the public in full. And Powell's and Rice's and Kerry's when he's out, for starters.

Obviously it is OK. Obama has been doing it for years.

I do. I am.

The 2nd Amendment for one thing. The day she said Bernie Sanders wasn't nearly strict enough on gun control was the day I figured out he's the better alternative. There's no emails involved though, so that's more important I guess. I think she's 100% as bad as she is, no email required. And although I never said I'm going to vote for Bernie Sanders, and didn't when I had the chance, I said some kind words about him and so I'm a raging socialist now.

There's principle and then there's "Help me Donald Trump, you're my only hope!" I'm going to vote for a "third party candidate" if they're on the ballot, not because I think they'll take more votes from Donald Trump than Hillary Clinton, but because of principles the two big vote winners simply don't have. If Kasich or Sanders made it, I'd vote for either one of them at this point as well even though it'd be a real compromise. So I can name six or seven people off the top of my head I'd vote for right now. Hillary Clinton is not one of them. Sorry, Trump isn't either. He offers nothing I'm remotely interested in. Maybe I'm a libertarian at heart, right? About the only good idea I can think of Trump ever coming up with is for health insurance companies to compete over state lines. It's a very thin read from there. I'd have to go on a quest to find something else.

Not me. I'm staying out of all this. Again. One thing I'm sure they are gonna prove this time around is that our votes don't mean anything. This entire election is an insult. I'll have no part in it.

I don't think my POTUS votes have ever mattered in any election. :( The one time I would have voted for the winner in an election was in 2000 for George W. Bush. To think, I'd have voted for the winner of the election for the first and only time in my life, and not "waste my vote"!

I might not vote this time too, I've been not-voting a lot lately.

Same here. GWB's first election was the last presidential election I've voted in. And it wasn't long before I seriously regretted my involvement in that.

Quite honestly people underestimate how much can be accomplished at the local level. (I believe) The founding father's understood this aspect and felt it was in the best interest of the citizens to have more control in their local communities with federal oversight only ensuring that the rights of individuals were not infringed by the will of the majority. Instead today we see many localities dependant not only on State, but Federal support to cover the incompetence of their mismanagement.

Wow! LMFAO. Honestly, I didn't think you'd be foolish enough to write something so blatantly stupid but you fooled me and went ahead and did it. Unreal. Folks, in Yamato's mind, such as it is, if one takes a top secret document full of sensitive information, like the name of a deep cover spy, and copies it, verbatim, onto an unclassified email, the information, including the spy's name, is now unclassified and safe for all to see.

I am sure the spy, who would subsequently be targeted, would not agree with your logic. The rest of your post is so idiotic I won't bother responding to it.

That's a good point actually. I supported for the past few months and last week voted for two new directors on the board of a local affiliate of a non-profit and they both won! They're good people who understand the problems from a different perspective. There were eight nominees to choose from and 51 voters who could vote for up to six nominees each. My vote mattered bigtime in that one. The odds were so totally in my favor it was awesome actually. And it's so much more relevant to my own life than anything Washington is doing.

See that's what I'm talking about. Damage done to this country, such as to an undercover agent working on some secret project. Where's that email?

"A top secret document full of sensitive information" ....is what, exactly? The investigative bodies working on this problem should come out publicly ASAFP and tell us whether there's likely to be an indictment or not. It's time to **** or get off the pot. It's time to get you off the emails, so you can focus on things that matter. Like ideas, and laws, and policy.

Ridiculous and childish and a liar to boot. Maybe that bong ain't so safe bro. Don't worry yammie, I am almost done with you and you will be back on ignore (can't read your crap much longer) but don't lie any more.

Okay? Is there any evidence of such a deep cover spy? If damage was done to undercover agents or otherwise done to the country, Merc.

But sorry, it's starting to smell like Dick Cheney's Yellowcake in here.

That was an analogy yammie, the fact that you don't realize that bears testament to the dangers of your pastime I alluded to earlier. There was, allegedly, a HUMINT asset exposed but let's not bother to explain that to you, after all, you've proven that you can't comprehend the situation so let's not belabor the point and cause further embarrassment to yourself.

Sucks that I don't let you change the subject doesn't it "spanky"? No we'll stick to what you F'ed up and ignore the side jabs. You still haven't apologized to us about your lie that peopel stole defense funds and buried them in off-shore accounts. Lie or mistake yammie ( I pick lie)? We all make mistakes, after all but when we do, especially when we slander others, we adults apologize.

Shouldn't you apologize now and get this monkey off your back? Admit you were wrong, you made it all up and you will try and phrase things more accurately in the future.
