UM-Bot Posted February 11, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2016 The Internet giant has added a rather unusual clause to the small print of one its latest products. In a peculiar move that hopefully doesn't mean that Amazon knows something that we don't, the company has decided that adding an exemption clause to cover the possibility of a zombie apocalypse is a necessary step during the release of its new game engine software. FateAmeniableToChange Posted February 11, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 11, 2016 (edited) Is that a legitimite clause that the Amazon board really felt needed to be covered and included in they're contracts or a cynical but amusing inclusion to generarate some airtime? Gecks Posted February 12, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Im guessing they did it for a joke. Ive seen large companies do things like this before. On a smaller scale but kind of like when filling out my contract for virgin mobile and one of the legitiment questions were 'are you a ninja or a pirate'? Obviously the answer was pirate lol gotta love Richard Branson.
jpjoe Posted February 12, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 12, 2016 Sucking up to the mindless should be illegal. It's not even Apr1.
Mantis914 Posted February 18, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 18, 2016 You would think that the CDC, Amazon, Google, etc... wouldn't be wasting their time and resources on stuff like this especially if its just a "joke". We saw what happened when the last time a "joke" like this was aired on the radio with War of the Worlds. Find your cures, ship your packages and collect your data but it's irresponsible if its a "joke" and it's really creepy if there's any truth be it biological or what...
