Explosions hit Brussels airport,

Good point Lilly. In times like this we need to be careful that our tears don't feed the seeds of hate.

ISIS kills more muslims than any other group and most of those fighting ISIS are muslims.

And remember that most terrorists are "homegrown" and not refugees from muslim countries.

Refugees aren’t terrorists; they’re running away from terrorists.

There are well over a billion Muslims across the world and the vast majority are not violent.

We should not blame an entire group for the actions of extremists.

What needs to happen is an overwhelming condemnation by muslims and especially muslim leaders all over the world.

Muslim parents should talk to their children about Islamic extremism and the dangers of it and it wouldn't hurt to have

muslim church leaders address this and have church programs in place to discourage extremism. .

I saw a British muslim today on TV and he said "we should all realize that we are British citizens first, muslims second"

Now is the time for solidarity and contemplation, not bigotry.

Think about it.

Sounds great and I totally agree, when does it start?

That's all true, but right now, there are a lot of violent Muslims that are attacking the Western world. We can not know who they will or will not be. Some are born in Western countries. Jihadi John was British. In a large influx of refugees, there is no way of knowing how many are radicalized. There is no way of knowing if they will go to the ME and come back radicalized. In a perfect world we would be able to discern who is and who is not an extremist, but that world doesn't exist.

It doesn't help when people like Abdeslam, wanted for the attacks in France, was being protected by the Muslim community. From what has been reported, he had been hiding out in a Muslim neighborhood and many were well aware of it.

It's not surprising at all that many were aware of this creep hiding out in the neighbourhood - whilst still protecting him.

After all... birds of a feather flock together - which again begs the question of which Muslims in these tight-knit communities can be trusted ?

Thank you for that!

Never heard of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) for exemple?

They are an armed christian group known for terrorism, murder, child-sex slavery and barbarism operating in Uganda, South Sudan and some other parts of Africa.

https://www.warchild...resistance-army

There is more going on in this world than what you are being fed by Western media.

I do know this.....

I also know none of that even touches what the Islamists are doing, and will do. Not even close.

I am more worried about the religion that is taking it's wrath world wide. Not the third world countries issues. Those can be dealt with later. if they do grow in strength. Let those issues be dealt with locally. Not our clowns, not our circus. Islam is......

That may be true but the majority of Muslims support Sharia law. Even over half here in the US do.

Poll of U.S. Muslims Reveals Ominous Levels Of Support For Islamic Supremacists’ Doctrine of Shariah, Jihad

This is actually true and very disturbing, but there should also be a poll on how many Christians want their religious ideals to become law (although they are clearly unconstitutional). Sure, it's not Shariah law, but it could be a stepping stone to Old Testament code. People are sure clinging hard and fast to Leviticus. And the numbers are probably up there (certainly seems like there are plenty on various boards). That doesn't necessarily mean they'd support terrorism, but neither does theoretically supporting Shariah law. The problem with comparing the religions is that the climate isn't as ripe for religion to take over here as it has been in the past. Given the right circumstances, we could be there, but right now, we aren't. So the focus should be on the people who are doing more than their fair share of the dirty work, while not discounting the fact that violent extremism has and could again erupt in any country with a particular religious majority.

If the discussion keeps hovering around how Islam is a scourge, and Christianity could never be as bad as that (again), then it just fails. The reality is that violent extremism could erupt in any religion and become a strong movement. Indeed, this could even be the knee-jerk reaction to other extremism.

Bottom line...don't become what you hate while you're so busy hating it.

Seems like I would take current day Christianity well over current day radical Islam.

Oh, I forgot to add anything about the apologists that will quickly be pulling their heads out of the sand to get on their soap box.

Looks like the Times of India has got that covered too.

"How Muslim apologists work:

A Terrorist attack happens.

First: Blame US/UK foreign policy.

Second: Find a terrorist attack in which a Muslim was killed.

Third: Say that terrorism has no religion.

Fourth: Blame the Jews.

Fifth: Claim to be a victim of some sort and turn the whole conversation about Islamophobia."

I'd like to thank India for today's quotes, and tonights dinner.

It's interesting reading the opinions from around the world regarding this (and other attacks). One gets the impression that the entire world is getting a bit miffed my the "religion of peace"

This is a comment from the Times of India.

"Overall, Muslims are not a happy lot.

I actually feel very sad for this as a human being.

They’re not happy in Gaza

They’re not happy in Egypt

They’re not happy in Libya

They’re not happy in Morocco

They’re not happy in Iran

They’re not happy in Iraq

They’re not happy in Yemen

They’re not happy in Afghanistan

They’re not happy in Pakistan

They’re not happy in Syria

They’re not happy in Lebanon

So, where are they actually happy?

They’re happy in Australia

They’re happy in England

They’re happy in France

They’re happy in Italy

They’re happy in Germany

They’re happy in Sweden

They’re happy in US & Canada

They’re happy in INDIA

Surprisingly, they’re happy in almost every country that is not I*lamic!

And who do they blame?

- Not I*lam

- Not their leadership

- Not themselves

AND, THEY FIND THE BLAME WITH THE COUNTRIES THAT THEY ARE HAPPY IN!

And furthermore, they want to change the countries they’re happy in, to be like the countries that they came from where they were unhappy.

Hindus living with Christians = No Problem

Christians living with Shinto = No Problem

Shinto living with Confucians = No Problem

Confucians living with Bahai’s = No Problem

Jews living with Atheists = No Problem

Atheists living with Buddhists = No Problem

But..

Muslims living with Hindus = Problem

Muslims living with Buddhists = Problem

Muslims living with Christians = Problem

Muslims living with Jews = Problem

Muslims living with Sikhs = Problem

Muslims living with Bahai = Problem

Muslims living with Shinto = Problem

Muslims living with Atheists = Problem

MUSLIMS LIVING WITH MUSLIMS = BIGGER PROBLEM !"

Make of it what you will.

That's apparently been going around for quite a while. I've seen it on Cincinnati's Craigslist within the past year. It is true, though.

As for comparisons to Christianity, there is one fundamental difference and that is that while the Koran encourages and in fact, demands, violence, the Bible does not. Sure, there can be small groups of radicalized Christians but they don't have the scriptural underpinnings and community support that radical Muslims have. For most Christians the Crusades have been over for a thousand years, for radical Muslims the fight goes on. There is nothing in the modern world that compares to ISIS from any other religion.

If the discussion keeps hovering around how Islam is a scourge, and Christianity could never be as bad as that (again), then it just fails.

Modern day 'extremist Islam' is a scourge though. They are not only evil and murderous but they also have access to a wide variety of communication technologies which they use and abuse for their vile agenda's. They are capable of reaching out to many gullible (especially young) people who fall for their propaganda (as recruiting) and are also able to engage and communicate with other terrorist groups.

Currently - Christianity is not the problem - nor any other main stream religion or alike.

The reality is that violent extremism could erupt in any religion and become a strong movement.

The reality is - that modern day religion as we know it - shifted from barbarism and backwardness a long time ago.

Bottom line...don't become what you hate while you're so busy hating it.

Well that's a noble line - speaking for myself - I don't hate them - I loathe them.

Good old Mr Trump predicted this.

Despite the left's constant attacks on Donald Trump for being 'Islamophobic' and 'racist', he always seems to have the last laugh, despite this not being a laughing matter.

Back in January, Trump warned that Brussels was an Islamic 'hellhole' in an interview with Fox Business Network anchor Maria Bartiromo.

When questioned about his proposed temporary ban of Muslims from entering the United States, Trump explained how Islamic migrants do not assimilate and would rather live under Sharia Law.

“There is something going on, Maria. Go to Brussels. Go to Paris. Go to different places. There is something going on and it’s not good, where they want Shariah law, where they want this, where they want things that — you know, there has to be some assimilation. There is no assimilation. There is something bad going on,” he said.

“You go to Brussels — I was in Brussels a long time ago, 20 years ago, so beautiful, everything is so beautiful — it’s like living in a hellhole right now.”

The New York Times attacked Trump for this claim in an article titled “Donald Trump Finds New City to Insult: Brussels”.

The office of Mayor Yvan Mayeur of Brussels said in a statement that, “We don’t react to Mr. Trump’s comments. Have a nice day.”

It's safe to say that the mayor – a member of the socialist party – sure wishes he had in fact reacted to Trump's comments.

Donald Trump warned of Brussels terror attack in January and was mocked by Brussels' mayor and NY Times - The Rebel__________________________

Right now in 2016 a violent sect of extreme Islam is terrorizing the world. This is simply a fact. Obviously not all Muslims agree with the likes of ISIS. Multitudes of Muslims die at the hands of ISIS to be exact. Yet, the evil continues to spread and grow. We need to wake up and take action against those who lead this evil violent sect. Their 'Caliphate' needs to be attacked and totally destroyed. Their leaders need to be eradicated. I'm generally not a violent person but ISIS has crossed the line of what's acceptable to civilized human beings.

But many of these terrorists in Europe are European citizens. We are paying the price for failed politics, generations stupid left wing policies. We were told when the migrants first arrived, dont worry about their mentality, or the seriousness inwhich they adhere to their religion and culture, Okay there are differences between us but we have to celebrate these differences they enrich us, anyway with time these differences wont last long, these differences will only exist in the first generation immigrants, but if we accept their ways, give special dispensation with time they'll assimilate by the 2nd or 3rd generation Born here, they'll be like us, they'll be westernised, they wont adhere or take serious their religion unlike their 1st generation parents/grandparents. Well look how that's turned out, its these western born 2nd and 3rd Generation that are attacking us at home. how do you Police that, we have a situation in Britain to day of 3rd and 4th generation going over to Syria. school children. what the hell is going on in these communities?

The Government are paralysed by fear, they should be going through these communities and smoking out these extremists, shutting down mosques that are found to be at the centre of extremism, ban funding from ISIS's backer Saudi Arabia.

ISIS in the middle east, they are easily dealt with if we had secure borders, sadly another left wing policy of all fairy dust and rainbows by the EU's no-border policy as made it easy for terrorism to flourish with no border checks, the Eurozones introduction or use of the €500 note made it easier to funnel cash, firstly for the Mafia criminality, but no-doubt today being taken advantage of by terrorist as well.

ALL religions are a cancer. They are oppressive and subjugating.

Your opinion, but not all religions support going and slaughtering those who don't ascribe to their beliefs. This is a very big difference.

Not really. All religions want control. Their methods just vary.

PIERS MORGAN: When it comes to terror, isn’t it time we started listening seriously to Trump?

I'm not a big fan of Trump - but I do agree with all of his comments and views concerning ISIS in the article.
