Still Waters Posted March 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 28, 2016 A British tourist who tried to swim to a cruise ship after it left without her has been rescued from the Atlantic by fishermen. The 65-year-old woman was found shivering and clinging to her handbag 500 metres out to sea. She had left the Marco Polo cruise ship in the port of Funchal, in Portugal's Madeira region, after a row with her husband. She decided to take a flight home, but changed her mind at the last moment. SHaYap Posted March 30, 2016 #15 Share Posted March 30, 2016 This reminds me of the time when an European tourist was stuck up a tree for hours and the locals were just scratching their heads wondering what she was doing up there, everyone who noticed her early in the day just brushed it off as something those crazy tourists do until a kind little old lady asked and was told she couldn't get down after climbing so high up ... and promptly organized a rescue mission ... the tourist was too embarrassed to ask for help and was hoping someone she knows will come along and help her out ... ~ yeah ... one of those things I guess ...
