bubblykiss Posted April 24, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2016 Never thought I would read an article about genetically prefect buffalo. I mean I envisioned reading stories about sabre tooth tigers, armadillo invasions, exotic parasites.
Infernal Gnu Posted April 25, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 25, 2016 This made me think of that immortal poem entitled "A Buffalo of Distinction." http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-buffalo-of-distinction/
Myles Posted April 25, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 25, 2016 I wonder how it came to belong to 4 people. They must all hold a stake in ownership of the company that breeds for hunting game.
paperdyer Posted April 25, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 25, 2016 Never thought I would read an article about genetically prefect buffalo. I mean I envisioned reading stories about sabre tooth tigers, armadillo invasions, exotic parasites. I've read that most buffalos have cow genes in them. If this one truly is all buffalo, we can bring the animal back to all of it's glory.
Myles Posted April 25, 2016 #8 Share Posted April 25, 2016 There are mostly beefalo in the wild. I thought that was an advertising gimmick word when I first seen a restaurant advertising Beefalo meat. Turns out that it is a common term.
TonopahRick Posted April 26, 2016 #9 Share Posted April 26, 2016 This is a Cape Buffalo from Africa. The Beefalo is a cross between an American Bison and a regular beef type cow. Not the same thing. I seriously doubt this fella will be hunted.
