Honestly apart from our "recent" definition and believe me i understand the differential between former and later to a good enough extent...

Jefferson and Teddy by their time periods could/can be declared as either old time liberals modern day Libertarians...

Those two are my personal favorites as best of all time...

Yep they had their flaws, but in the times they lived in they were "active brains"

They made well thought out and wise decisions that had to be made in there time periods, without the  .5 seconds between stories it takes now days either real or not...

Just me..Maybe...I Guess...I really don't care anymore...

Anyone here who pulls for or against in any major way for "their team" is just kinda lost on me...Meh

Do whats been designed for the masses "It's ma team or nuthin"...

Carry on lmao....

I hope he provides details on how Trump Airline crashed and burned and how he duped students of Trump University, not to mention how Trump vodka dried out and among his other business failures.

Not to forget all he left destitute when Trump Casinos went bust... and he just went back to his posh life at Trump Towers.

And, does this Casino thingy not beg the question how a "good businessman" actually can go bankrupt with a money printing machine?

maybe you should learn more about him as a man, not political figure

I know this wasn't addressed to me but I wanted to say that I did, I've learned more about both of them, him & Washington. I had a dream years ago about George Washington and our country, it was terrible, it was really bad. At that time i wasn't interested in politics but because of that dream I started searching into Washington and began to take things more seriously in appreciation  of him and of America.

eta- in my dream we came so close to the end of America, and I looked into his eyes, George Washington that is and felt all the emotion, that never left me, I reflect on that sometimes as a reminder or something...

Why are you and other leftest talking about God like this? Trump is a man, Washington was a man too, and God is not a man but  the creator. The ridiculous thing most of all is what you and other leftest are saying.

I could understand or maybe consider if you said that God had his hand in this matter but to refer to a man as being God is not cool, not good at all.

but the best thing of all is that Trump is neither. he's just one man the establishment never thought would be able to take them down. with billions that is needed to do so and the support of the people , so far we're beating the rigged system. Trump knows where they're taking the country too and he's pushing them back with our support. The man is Americana, a Patriot and so are others like Jeff Sessions... There are still good people in the establishment but never is there ever a true president since i don't know when that is not hand selected by them, to serve them, not us, but  their interests , until now. Until Trump. That's why he's our George Washington...

O, have I been blasphemous. I hate to break to you but there are people who don't believe in your god including me.

However, he surly would be a candidate your god favors considering your god's  and Trump's similarities. Both racists, hostile to life, bigots, enemy of womenkind or humankind and in general both are a fine display of sociopathy.

I feel bad for us all if the country doesn't put a stop to allowing all the corruption to continue on.  How some of you think is what the problem is for America.

I guess you would say bad things about George Washington too. And, I know what you are about,  you didn't have to tell me, I already knew.

I have a question for you Ellapennella. Why did you change your support from Bernie Sanders to Donald Trump ?

In this thread you were supporting Sanders:

What I see in some similarities of Trump & Washington is that Washington wrote & warned congress of the Illuminati infiltrating us, but when Trump mentions things the media jump him, same as the left does and label him .  Isn't it time to admit that there are bad groups in the world that have  never left . Though, usually someone rises up and stops them and when they do these groups lay low sort of but continue to plan their next take over. Does anyone think that they are not planning a global takeover? Hillery is with them. Trump is against them. Trump has always been against them and Hillery has always been for them.

because at the time, like many others I didn't know about socialism. Remember the thread? I was asking you all about it.  The thing with Sanders is that he & Trump both share similarities of interest as standing against these bad trade deals but Sanders is a communist minded individual and that is why i couldn't support him. He's too far into that and it doesn't work for America. It doesn't go with who we are, who the founders were.

WE are seeing more of this than I had considered possible NEIC.  I think that many of Bernie's followers were less about the socialism than they were about changing the status quo.  My mistake was misinterpreting his movement as a sudden resurrection of socialism rather than overturning the establishment.  I may be wrong about that as well, so FWIW..

Do you know who the illuminati are. They fought for equality and democracy. They opposed the fascist leaders in Europe. I vote for an illuminati anytime.

illuminated, spiritual godly people--- that's not what you stand for.

Illuminati- secret societies that George Washington warned of are not for equality.

So, the good old Mason warned people about Illuminati, can you show us where?

It was not my intention to doubt that, the Doctrines of the Illuminati, and principles of Jacobinism had not spread in the United States. On the contrary, no one is more truly satisfied of this fact than I am.

The idea that I meant to convey, was, that I did not believe that the Lodges of Free Masons in this Country had, as Societies, endeavoured to propagate the diabolical tenets of the first, or pernicious principles of the latter (if they are susceptible of seperation). That Individuals of them may have done it, or that the founder, or instrument employed to found, the Democratic Societies in the United States, may have had these objects; and actually had a seperation of the People from their Government in view, is too evident to be questioned. (original letter 2010195.gif

The letter he supposedly wrote.

First, the free masons, in fact, aren't the same as the illuminati. Even though it is mixed in his letter. Secondly, the illuminati was or is  a school of thought which opposes most of the governmental structures. Above all structures which are undemocratic. That is also why it was a threat to the kings and lords in Europe in the 18th century. And some of the lords and kings even attributed the French Revolution to them. As much as Washington did he by far wasn't perfect and the system he created was not as democratic as it could have been. Also equality wasn't achieved during these times. For example the right to vote was not granted to everyone. The letter must be interpreted in context of his time and has nothing to do with the present.

Also Hillary is very religious I doubt she is an illuminati.

Some say that he's too much of a fighter, but Trump says that his preference is peace. I personally want a president that will always fight for justice and what is right for America, I don't want a president that will sell us out to a nwo globally& internationally &  political correctness.  Look what Obama said to Africans in Africa, that the reason why they can't have air condition or cars is because the earth will boil over, though  Obama actually utilizes two planes so that the family pets the dogs don't fly in the same aircraft as he is in. I don't know but i heard that Muslims can not be in a room or confined with dogs, is that why he utilizes two planes when traveling with the family pets? but he's selling climate change and Hillery will be selling it too.

Trump stated in his victory speech , and he stressed that he's very serious about this, he said we can't depend on the people who created the problems to fix them and that we can't depend on the people who rigged the system to fix it either.. does this resonate with anyone? it does with me.

"The Clinton's have turned the politics of personal enrichment into an art form for themselves. They've made hundreds of millions of dollars" hundreds of millions"selling access selling favors, selling government contracts. Secretary Clinton also did all of her work on an illegal private server, designed to keep her corrupt dealings out of the public record, putting the security of the entire country at risk, and a president in a corrupt system protecting her is not right.

Well, given that the Illuminati were pretty much history in 1784 after just 8 years of existence I tend to have my doubts about the above letter written in 1789 (or five years after they were outlawed by Charles Theodore of Bavaria.) And given that they were founded to counteract superstition, obscurantism and abuses of state power I fail to see what Washington might have had against them.

But then there were some "novelists" posing as "historians" who reinvented the Illuminati and gave them a new mission: To implement a new world order... and they did... the world order of gullibility.
