Unfortunately, this is true. We have had a huge increase in gang activity, who buy their guns from the black market. Mexican gangs are moving in and competing for territory with the established gangs. Black on black killings are also increasing exponentially. Retaliation is the name of the game for these people.

I got on that already. Does everybody know drug dealers? Also, the US is not the best example for this, hence the matter!

Most drugs and illegal weapons, amongst other things I'm sure, are smuggled and transported by gangs, who we all know are unscrupulous people. There are a lot of cartels around too that are not of US origin. It is possible to start with a drug dealer and work your way up if you show the money. You probably don't even have to really meet the top clown to make the purchase. You can make arrangements to get whatever you want if they don't have it. Just don't ask how.

So to get this straight. In the US I walk to some place where I know there are gangs. Let's say Oakland. I then look for a drug dealer. Ask around? Nah, just ask some people who really look like gang members. Crips or Bloods. I then tell them I have $2000 and want to buy guns. Is that about right?

No, but we know a bunch of old farts who have been buying and selling guns long before you had to get a background check and register it. All of these people downsizing, in their old age, have to unload all of that stuff somewhere...usually to someone they know.

It doesn't eradicate a problem. But it controls it. Hence the name! Guns and drugs are also different topics, while both are (mostly) banned or regulated. Guns are not banned in Germany, they are regulated. It wouldn't be too hard for me legally obtaining a gun.

Absolutely! But you would have to be with a trusted gang member, or, that the gang member will get your money, secretly get the weapon, and secretly give it to you... uh, if they don't rip you off.

Flombie...you said yourself that you could legally purchase a gun in Germany. The US has a population of about 350 million. Of them, and I'm just guessing, at least 100 million are probably legal gun owners. They do not run around randomly shooting people. The problem isn't with them. It's with people who do not obtain them for proper usage. Or people who buy them illegally and use them to commit crimes. I just want to say that what happened yesterday just isn't what the average gun owner over here does. That's what upsets me about politicians who want to take that right away.
