You're right, it is. And right now, thousands of people are miles away from home, many of them injured or dying, thanks to the man you're putting on a pedistal besides Churchill. I'm sure they're all having a very merry Christmas too.

*shakes head* no.gif I don't understand how you can like this guy. He is sending young man and woman to their deaths and permeant injury for what? Defence? Iraq was not a threat. He had plans to invade Iraq before 9/11. He helped the Bin Ladin family flee the country. He has most of the world hating your country and thus americans. He of course has done much more than just that and plus most likely a huge amount of things out of public eye. I don't get it. Americans blew a fuse when Clinton cheated but you guys seem to love bush for ruining you. sad.gif

You have a different ideology. You weren't living here in 911. I could go on, but it's off topic.

No matter how mad you guys get it won't change a thing. Bush isn't your president and you can't control the world. .... blink.gif or the United States.

Yeah, even we Americans can't seem to change anything, either.

I think it's horrifying that we have to endure 4 more years of the warmongering, and even more frightening, stupid man just because some people feel he is a representation of their faith.

Oops, meant for this to be added to the 'Christian Ideals' thread that's going on simultaneously. Hee, hee...guess Bush's not the only stupid American. laugh.gif

9/11 has nothing do to with Iraq. And it doesn't matter if you were living in the US or not, a lot of people were affected by it, on that day and for some time afterwards.

That's one thing I find really sad. Some people didn't vote for Bush because they thought he was the best man for the job.... they voted for him because of their faith. It's both sad and disturbing. no.gif

("He is sending young man and woman to their deaths and permeant injury for what? Defence? Iraq was not a threat. He had plans to invade Iraq before 9/11.") UN sanctions were about to be lifted and Saddam had a grudge to settle and Oil for food $$$ to spend, no doubt!

("He has most of the world hating your country and thus americans") Hey I guess it's better to be noticed than not noticed at all.

Government should ALWAYS be secular.

You weren't living here in 911

Do you think I did not morn their deaths? Do you think I cheered in the streets like others in dif countries? I hate your government not your people.

"Hey I guess it's better to be noticed than not noticed at all."

No, in no way is it better to be noticed for what we are doing in Iraq. We are just perpetuating this cycle of terrorism, and who do you think the target will end up being? USA. And since are kindly alienating ourselves from our allies, we will have a hard time getting any support when we need it.

I'm honestly very frightened of th whole prospect.

I just have to say I love the way 50% of America is somehow translated into "most Americans." No, most of America did NOT vote for Bush. I guess the Republicans can't do much math.

I don't necessarly like Bush but I hated Kerry, he was a idiot. I think this election was the lesser of 2 evils. Bush was the lesser. Too many people want to turn this country into a socialist republic. This country was built on capitalism. The war sucks. I think we should have assinated Sadam instead of spending this much money on a foolish war. There is still no other country I would rather live in. I started in poverty and now make a six figure income. Not many other places would allow that. Hard work does pay off here.

At least if we are going to argue about Bush AND religion, let's move over to the 'Christianity Ideals/Republican' thread right next to this one.

I saw this post's name and instantly knew a lot of fighting was gonna go on. rolleyes.gif

I wouldn't say Bush is man of the year, but the presidency is one of the hardest jobs out there, especially in times like these. I'll give him props for that. thumbsup.gif
