So that's your response ? Not an attempt to further the conversation by adding facts but resorting to middle school level insults? Good job representing your position ;)

It's exactly how little I think about you and your opinion. My position is you, sir, are full of it. Now go pester someone else with your nonsense.

Those deaths are regrettable, perhaps. Sor-ry. I have limited sympathy for that same Syrian military filmed dropping barrel bombs on civilians. Moral high ground? There's nothing moral about war. War is cruelty, and there's no way to refine it.

Hahaha thanks for conceding!

As a parting gift heres a nice article from a former MI5 agent laying out some reasons why its improbable that the bombing of Syrian troops was accidental : https://www.rt.com/op-edge/359690-us-syria-airstrike-unlikely-unintentional/

you DO realize that RT is a mouthpiece for Putin, right?  my guess is that you vilify Fox yet you accept RT?  Putin is in full propaganda mode right now and I think he's building up a cassus belli for his next move.  He's only got about 4 months left to take it on the cheap.

Oh I do. I also realize CNN, MSNBC and FOXNEWS are mouthpieces for the corporations which run America and are financially tied to keeping the current paradigm. You have to weigh those factors when reading any news source.

You do realize it was a former MI5 agent who was quoted in that article and not an RT staffer right? Dismissing the source offhand is dangerous in todays world of corporate controlled news. (drudgereport and the lewinsky scandal being an excellent example)

RT is a good channel - if you haven't tried it yet -

sometimes they will talk about stuff and different slants on the news that you wouldn't get from your own main stream media -
it helps to build up the bigger picture of what's going on - when we are subject to mind control from all angles re news outlets -

That interview that Trump did for RT - that everyone got into a flap about and Clinton used it for all it was worth to try and
score points - demonizing Putin and linking that demonizing to Trump - which I find ridiculous - well anyway - it was Larry King
who did the interview and he has a show on RT - Larry King is no push over or propaganda puppet and I know that he's famous
in the US for his shows -

http://www.newstatesman.com/politics/media/2015/11/i-hate-censorship-larry-king-his-journey-prime-time-tv-russia-today

(edit ---eek the writing went big in the quote below - sorry about that don't know how to change it)

Quote

The 83-year-old US talk show host and household name estimates that he has done around 60,000 interviews in his time. And he’s still going. After 58 years of presenting radio and TV programmes – he hosted the nightly interview show Larry King Live on CNN for 25 years – he now hosts Larry King Now and Politicking with Larry King on RT America (the US output of the channel originally known as Russia Today).

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
But he insists: “They [RT] have never censored me, or told me who to have as a guest, or not have as a guest. They distribute my show. I do the show for Ora TV [an internet network], and I have a wonderful working agreement with RT . . .
“I hate censorship of any kind, abhor it, so I would never approve of you telling me what I can say, or I telling you what you can say. And I've never been censored – in fact, my whole life – by anyone. I've been fortunate. I’ve never been told ‘don’t book this guest’, ‘don’t ask this question’, ‘don’t reveal this’. And it’s never happened to me with RT . . . If they do it, I disagree with it.
 Thanks for the share, very interesting conversation I would be interested in seeing how common those views are internationally.
.
Not everyone is interested in the news and world events but of those people who do follow what's going on - in an open minded way -
I expect those views would be fairly common - I feel it in my bones :) that the majority of 'ordinary people' who take an interest
will be thinking along those lines - 'the people' in general are far more sophisticated in their thinking and analysis that many of the propagandists
would give them credit it for - IMO -
anyway - glad you enjoyed it - - :tu:
apparently the British were as well ...?
who knows what to believe - are they trying to take the heat off America -  or is it true -
just how many nations in the US lead coalition thought it was ok to break the ceasefire - ?
none of them should be there anyway - creating problems and confusion -
bee, a lot of us don't have the slightest clue what our government is trying to accomplish.  It has seemed like the actions (in the beginning) of a "community organizer" who was simply out of his depth but as time has gone on it becomes clearer that he really has an agenda - it just isn't one we understand.  If this madness in Syria continues it's going to get out of control.
It's really hard to decipher what we're doing there.  I think we've all figured out there are two alliances, a Western/Sunni and an Eastern/Shiite one.  There are both political and financial gains in keeping these alliances going on both sides.  Somehow our political leaders think these alliances are more important than the price of innocent civilians that are dying in droves in the ME and in terrorist attacks in Western cities.  If this alone isn't enough to feel disgust about the wickedness of people we are electing as our leaders, independent from their political affiliation, I don't know what to say.
This is an interesting article from the NY Times on how we've allowed Saudi Arabia to fund and influence terrorism around the world under our noses and with the support of our leaders.  Obviously the Shiite's aren't oblivious to terrorism but we've actually supported and allowed Sunni Fundamentalism to prosper within our borders.  Crazy
...it seems to me that there must be elements in the U.S. that are against stabilising Syria and those that want to. Obama just isn't strong enough to pull his own people into one policy.
It's come out now that an RAF drone was involved in the breaking of the ceasefire and killing all those Syrian soldiers and injuring around 100 -
so now we have the US, Britain, Australia and Denmark who willfully broke the ceasefire, killed the Syrian Troops who were in a desperate, ongoing 'situation' with ISIS and have shamed our countries -
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/sep/19/raf-reaper-drones-used-airstrike-killed-syrian-government-troops
I hope they feel the shame that they should do - they have no business being in the country pretending that there are moderate ''''rebels''' and using that as an excuse - they are obviously there to assist in Regime Change - the real reasons for, as you say, are hard to decipher -
Some secret agenda is in progress and when we see the death and suffering this has heaped on millions of civilians who have had their lives ruined --- wicked is almost too generous a word to use to describe the politicians etc who have enabled it - - :angry:
Now they are trying to pin the bombing of the Aid Convoy on the Syrian Army and Russia -- desperately trying to claw back some semblanceof legitimacy --- and what makes them think that ?--- because someone on the ground said they did - how stupid do they think we are ?
With all those western countries lining up to dip their hands in the blood of the broken cease-fire, "wicked" simply fails to describe what is happening.  Add to that Samantha Powers' demon-possessed performance and we know that a very dark game is afoot.
So much for "fog of war".
It's looking more and more like "Gog of War".
Hi bee... its confusion plus no matter which way you look at it these days in Syria. I'm wondering if Obama's impending departure from the oval office has anything to do with the constant "misunderstandings" gripping the hard fought Syrian peace plan. Clinton has come out hard against Assad's government. Stating that Assad must go. Sure there must be some rogue elements in the C.I.A or Pentagon that are seeing this as a chance to reset U.S. policy in Syria in order to remove Assad and push Russia out.
Its like ISIS is a convenient excuse for regime change. The anti- ISIS "moderate" allies have become so much of a joke that they're hardly even mentioned... you think that this is preparing the public for the eventual American boots on the ground in Syria?
America controls the coalition air power assets. Australia and Britain do as they're told. While Russia asks the question they all shrug their shoulders and point at each other. All very diplomatic.
seriously....?....did you take the time to read that article.? ...
RT was supposed to have breached the broadcasting code 4  times over  3 programmes -
Three of the complaints involved the BBC - who aren't exactly a paragon of virtue - and the other one was
a dubious claim of lack of impartiality - re an interview with Ukraine refugees - and anyone who takes notice will know that we have
been subjected to intense propaganda regarding Ukraine -
The BBC is routinely accused of bias and lack of impartiality -
http://biasedbbc.org/
http://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/653836/BBC-biased-Brexit-EU-referendum-Newsnight-Question-Time
For example - the BBC was against leaving the EU - is against Donald Trump - and against UKIP -
and uses the fees payed by the public to try and influence public opinion -
Not just bias though - far more insidious stuff than that - ever heard of Jimmy Savile..?
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/video/2016/feb/25/bbc-savile-inquiry-tony-hall-apologises-to-survivors-of-sexual-abuse-video
Or the scandal when they were fined £400,000 for blatantly conning the public and taking their money in scam competitions ?
https://www.theguardian.com/media/2008/jul/30/bbc.ofcom
They even go as low as to use a child to try and trash UKIP -
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/bbc-under-investigation-by-ofcom-for-airing-childs-comments-about-getting-foreigners-out-10289205.html
bet you wish you had some juicy stuff like that against RT - :)
As I said before -  being patriotic doesn't mean believing any old BS that the propagandists throw at you -
It appears to be much worse than ISIS being used as a convenient excuse for regime change -
something far more premeditated than that is going on -
You've probably seen this before --- it's taking more than 5 years but they seem to have blinkers on to achieve the regime changes -
for reasons that are being kept secret from the public who are basically paying for it - and to hell with the millions of ordinary people
who have had their lives ruined and ripped apart by it all -
the aid convoy attack (better to say attack as there is a question whether the damage fits in with result of bombing from the air)
was most likely done by terrorist groups who want to keep the chaos to a maximum - possibly US backed terrorists -
not saying the US would be in cahoots with the aid convoy attack - but they have no control over the Al Qaeda affiliated groups
and Islamic State affiliated groups that they support - either directly or indirectly -
but now are trying to shift the blame and make some political capital out of the situation -
But why would the russians say was it was a fire? With a drone following a trailed motar escorting the convoy, unless they were tracking the motar and wasnt agreed in the ceasefire deal
It's funny that people who trash RT are usually those who turn on their TV at night to watch Fox News.
RT is as slanted as any other news organization.  The fact that you can never - EVER - find any good news about the US should be some indication of the validity of that statement.  No nation of 320 million people gets everything wrong ALL THE TIME. The stories always have a twist to show the US in a negative light regardless the story.  That appeals to those with the same preconceived notions about America but it doesn't mean it's solid news reporting.  All the networks carrying news have an agenda, RT is no different. As to FOX news, they have been number one among cable subscribers every year practically since their first broadcasts.  If America is so Liberal, why would that be the case?  Maybe because people get tired of the anti Conservative droning that goes on incessantly on EVERY other channel?  Not being able to accept even one dissenting voice sounds like a real need to be in an echo chamber.
Because the Russians are as guilty as anyone else here for lying when the need arises?  The damage on the ground seems to point to the possibility that the weapons didn't come from aircraft.  I don't imagine that matters much to the dozens who died.  I think that regardless who killed these people, it is a particularly disgusting thing to do - for any reason. I cannot imagine how any civilians in any of these cities under siege are still able to eat or have clean water.  It's been months in some cases since they were resupplied.
After seeing that death stare photo of Putin and Obama the other day, I begin to wonder if we're going to make it out of this conflict without a regional or even global conflagration.  A shoot down of US or Russian aircraft there could be the spark that sets it off. I don't believe there is any chance of pre war Syria being a country again.
