Lost Raphael masterpiece found in Scotland

Raphael's work is definitely worth beholding.  

Maybe it was her being dressed in red,

but I'd not have guessed the subject saint the Madonna.

I'm not much of an art lover, but great find!  The painting wasn't lost. It was misplaced.  My wife does that all the time.  She moves things then forgets where she puts them.

How beautiful! This woman survived, walked this earth at one time. And Raphael painted her. Took note of the slight shadows and her delicate hands. Thank goodness we have artist in this world to capture beauty for as long as time allows.

I remember having to do a Raphael style painting for my Art School Oil Paint Term End assessment ... I failed miserably ...
