Well with USA, China and Russia trying to figure out who got the bigger set of balls it wont be long will ww3 is here, and then nukes will be flying, treaties dont matter anymore, north korea wont be a threat for a while yet, but if i can point a finger it will be the USA who shoots first trying to gain power from false media blaming a country of some bs threat. and why have nukes all together, dismantle them, but no each country wants to be more powerful then the other, this will keep happening until proof is put forth to the public that other life exist in the universe and they are a threat, then our wars will be meaningless. if ww3 breaks out which will be within the 1000 years i said we can all kiss our ass goodbye

Unfortunately.... WW3 could be this year...or next.... and theres many suggestions of nukes being used....theres a thread about it...one of mine actually.. I appreciate you guys use the example conversationally... but IT IS a very current threat...and it wont be good for anyone....

Having weapons of power strengthens diplomacy  If you want everyone to disarm, who goes first?  Who would you want defenseless waiting patiently while the others take their turn disarming.  And what does proof that other life exists in the galaxy have to do with disarming?  If anything, when we discover proof, that's even more reason to be able to protect ourselves.  We now have a potential otherworldly threat.  And where do you get that war is meaningless, and will be if we're all unarmed sheeple?

Yeah, but all that's hard evidence. We need to look to the loose evidence to make imagination more real.

im guessing your american or russian by your speech of diplomacy, who goes first, we are do, one for one until each others is gone, simple isnt it?? if we find out there is other life in universe i think we might need something better then nukes, if ships invaded out skies and we shot, still gonna destroy ourselves, either way nukes is just bad overall but the power hungry countries dont see that, they just want to have the bigger guns.and war is meaningless these days, i wouldnt fight for my country even if a war broke out, why we fighting? oil? money? religion bs? who got the bigger balls? wars just waste money.....people want peace, simple, 1) remove religion, 2) world government 3) one currency 4) advance in health and education, 5) advance in space travel/exploration,....this will never happen because billions is wasted in wars because our leaders are dummies

Nukes aren't bad.  The people using them could be.  Nukes are just inanimate objects that do nothing on their own.

Not all people want peace.  War is often used as a tool of diplomacy, and it usually works very well in that capacity.

Sometimes war is used for selfish reasons, just look at ISIS and Russia.

Sometimes war is a necessary result to defend one's rights and existence.  Just look at Israel, and WWII.

I find it possible that there are some extraterrestrial species that thrusted themselves into extinction. I think that is a strong possibility that this could be the fate of our species, if things don't change. However, I do not believe that all alien life has ceased to exist,  especially for the same reasons. 

Some species could thrive on greenhouse gases for all we know. I think it's pretty close minded to think that all species have to live by the same standard as the beings that live on Earth.
