We've actually been doing very well with nuclear weapons. Since their invention, only two have been used out of necessity, and the world went through a very tense cold war where not one single one was used in anger. We have non-proliferation treaties that have done fairly well in keeping these things out of the hands of evil-doers so far. Only recently have rogue nations sought nuclear weapons, and of those Iran isn't doing very well with their weapons program (and if they get close enough, they'll probably get smacked back down), while North Korea is having trouble even pretending they are testing these things. So while no one person can predict the future, you shouldn't worry about nuclear weapons until they actually do become a problem. Well with USA, China and Russia trying to figure out who got the bigger set of balls it wont be long will ww3 is here, and then nukes will be flying, treaties dont matter anymore, north korea wont be a threat for a while yet, but if i can point a finger it will be the USA who shoots first trying to gain power from false media blaming a country of some bs threat. and why have nukes all together, dismantle them, but no each country wants to be more powerful then the other, this will keep happening until proof is put forth to the public that other life exist in the universe and they are a threat, then our wars will be meaningless. if ww3 breaks out which will be within the 1000 years i said we can all kiss our ass goodbye

No there was not. You have said there was an advanced civilisation, and I quote: believe any advances technological civilization must go through a period of tremble and hegemony wars from which they may not survive! Just no, if any life existed it was microbial, and even that possibility is one massive maybe. And a hopeful one at that. Why would a smaller planet than earth, further from the sun, so much colder, advance quicker? What is the theory behind that?

If you think the real world is that simple, you've got some balloon-bursting revelations coming soon. Quote if we find out there is other life in universe i think we might need something better then nukes, if ships invaded out skies and we shot, still gonna destroy ourselves, either way nukes is just bad overall but the power hungry countries dont see that, Nukes aren't bad. The people using them could be. Nukes are just inanimate objects that do nothing on their own. If ships invaded our sky, we'll fight, because it's our right. Quote ,,,they just want to have the bigger guns.and war is meaningless these days, i wouldnt fight for my country even if a war broke out, why we fighting? How very cowardly of you. And what country is that, btw? Quote ...oil? money? religion bs? who got the bigger balls? wars just waste money.....people want peace, simple... Not all people want peace. War is often used as a tool of diplomacy, and it usually works very well in that capacity. Sometimes war is used for selfish reasons, just look at ISIS and Russia. Sometimes war is a necessary result to defend one's rights and existence. Just look at Israel, and WWII. Quote 1) remove religion, 2) world government 3) one currency 4) advance in health and education, 5) advance in space travel/exploration,.... 1) remove religion: why? 2) world government: under who's control> 3) one currency: which currency? 4) advance in health and education: who is paying for that? 5) advance in space travel/exploration: who is paying for that? Quote ....this will never happen because billions is wasted in wars because our leaders are dummies You finally got around to making some sense. GlitterRose Posted October 20, 2016 #139 Share Posted October 20, 2016 Scientists have already predicted that we'll lose a great number of our species due to human activity. It’s frightening but true: Our planet is now in the midst of its sixth mass extinction of plants and animals — the sixth wave of extinctions in the past half-billion years. We’re currently experiencing the worst spate of species die-offs since the loss of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago. Although extinction is a natural phenomenon, it occurs at a natural “background” rate of about one to five species per year. Scientists estimate we’re now losing species at 1,000 to 10,000 times the background rate, with literally dozens going extinct every day [1]. It could be a scary future indeed, with as many as 30 to 50 percent of all species possibly heading toward extinction by mid-century [2].Unlike past mass extinctions, caused by events like asteroid strikes, volcanic eruptions, and natural climate shifts, the current crisis is almost entirely caused by us — humans. In fact, 99 percent of currently threatened species are at risk from human activities, primarily those driving habitat loss, introduction of exotic species, and global warming [3]. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=5&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjo_cSkxunPAhXI3SYKHVHbAsoQFgg-MAQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.biologicaldiversity.org%2Fprograms%2Fbiodiversity%2Felements_of_biodiversity%2Fextinction_crisis%2F&usg=AFQjCNFsTpLnX1IXxHLwon43HgxF3225Ow That said, the alien thing is just pure speculation. The_Mothman Posted November 14, 2016 #142 Share Posted November 14, 2016 I find it possible that there are some extraterrestrial species that thrusted themselves into extinction. I think that is a strong possibility that this could be the fate of our species, if things don't change. However, I do not believe that all alien life has ceased to exist, especially for the same reasons. Some species could thrive on greenhouse gases for all we know. I think it's pretty close minded to think that all species have to live by the same standard as the beings that live on Earth.
