seeder Posted November 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 24, 2016 Quote Ancient city is unearthed by archaeologists in Egypt Archaeologists in Egypt have unearthed what they describe as a city that dates back more than 7,000 years, containing houses, tools, pottery and huge graves. It lies by the river Nile, close to the Temple of Seti the First in Abydos. Experts say the size of the 15 newly discovered graves indicates the high social standing of those buried. It is believed the city was home to important officials and tomb builders and would have flourished during early-era ancient Egyptian times. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-38084391

Just a point of clarification seeder, the bold date above is not in the article which actually says in part "dates back more than 5,000 years". It is however an interesting find. cormac

jarjarbinks Posted November 26, 2016 #6 Share Posted November 26, 2016 if they find something that will change the history too much, it will just go dark and no one will ever know about it.

Including those people convinced of things "go(ing) dark", for the reason given in the above claim, which leaves a non-argument. cormac
paperdyer Posted November 26, 2016 #8 Share Posted November 26, 2016 Maybe they will find a huge round cover stone with a wheel with strange markings on it under the stone.
Athena1979 Posted November 28, 2016 #9 Share Posted November 28, 2016 So, Abydos is a current city in Egypt and newer parts of the city were built on top of the old Abydos over the centuries. Everyone knows where the old Abydos is, it's underneath of them. They know where the tomb is for the first pharaoh, his son - the second pharaoh and a few others that have larger tombs than later dynasties. They also know and see, anytime, the temples for the deity Khentiamentiu, which later became the cult of Osiris. What is long and lost about this city?
