Life-size replica 'Titanic' being built

Still Waters

Recommended Posts

Construction of a life-size replica of the Titanic has begun at a Mediterranean-themed attraction in China.

The copy of the famous, doomed liner will be part of the Romandisea Seven Star International Cultural Tourism Resort, along the Qijiang River in Sichuan Province's Daying County.

As well as providing a feel of what the vessel was like, the attraction will also provide visitors with a simulation of the original Titanic's collision with an iceberg and subsequent sinking.

I bet it will be a huge success.  In summer they could even allow people to experience the flooding of the lower decks  :P

What do you mean by "explaining how the sinking was a scam."?

Next thing we know, china will be making 9/11: The Ride

First they could do a Tiananmen square go-kart track.

It never really happened.

James Cameron used the time machine from the Terminator to go back and stage the whole thing as marketing for his ****ty movie.

Hasn't this been dumded down somewhat. I am sure when I originally read he was building a replica in China it was going to be an ocean going vessel (meeting modern safety requirements) but done out as accurately as possible. Now it seems to be just a floating shell with a few rooms and will be permanently docked.

Meanwhile, I'll be building a full-scale iceberg for laughs.

I was thinking the same thing.  A great new amusement park ride; Experience the terror of the Titanic the same way the passengers did......EHHHH   Sign this waiver before entering the amusement.
