4 days in and we already have Trump lying through his press secretary and having Kellyanne Conway call it "alternative facts"

He has now thrown out his campaign promise to release his tax returns after the audit was completed, now Kellyanne Conway says he will never release them.

He speaks in front of the CIA fallen heroes wall and talks at length about how big his crowd size was at inauguration and falsely claims the media lied about how big the crowds were (again, more lies).

An estimated 3 million people marching all around the world protesting against his proposed agenda and rhetoric.

Yeah, the little hope I had in him is quickly fading away due to his own actions and words. It is going to be a long 4 years (assuming he does not get impeached).

Maybe you should pay attention to what is going on in the White house that really matters instead of playing the fake news cards like they matter any longer.

Oh well, I always wanted to see Obama's transcripts and I never did yet I was told he was a genius.  Same thing and more important IMHO.

They did absolutely lie by showing a photo of three hours before the speech and comparing it to Obama's during his speech.  The crowds were massive and the television audience was the second largest in history for an inauguration.  I am surprised you don't know this and hadn't looked it up thereby allowing yourself to look so uninformed

Honestly, who cares if they are marching around the world because they have been fed a myth, reality will trump fiction as time goes on (see Obama's Nobel prize and the reality that came afterwards)?   The world loved Obama and look how much that helped our Foreign relations as America faded and reality set in.

Yeah, two and a half days is enough!!!   he hasn't fixed 8 years of purposeful destruction in two and a half days so his presidency is a failure.  LMAO  BTW, when did you give up on Obama, two years after stimulus did nothing or when?

Edit:  BTW, how upset were you when Obama and his staff lied to us for a month about why Benghazzi was attacked?   Is that up there with Kelly Anne's stuff or what because I didn't remember you ever mentioning that during that election?

-Trump needs to do this, he is the one constantly deflecting attention onto the media to divert attention from real issues.

"Oh well, I always wanted to see Obama's transcripts and I never did yet I was told he was a genius.  Same thing and more important IMHO."

-I think that tax returns are far more important than a transcript. I never cared to see Obama's transcripts, they do not reveal possible conflicts of interests and financial information relevant to someone who is supposed to serve the public.

-What the NY times did was shameful (showing that picture), but Trump was easily bated by them into having what amounts to a temper tantrum, "whaaaa whaaaa! my crowds were bigger than that! Whaa whaa!". While what the NY times did was deplorable, Trumps reaction to it was predictable and disappointing. The photo was fake, yes, but other statistics show that the size of the crowd was not as big as 2009. He lied by claiming this was the biggest crowd ever for an inauguration (but who cares? why would he lie about something so insignificant?). The fact that he would lie about something that ultimately  matters so little shows that he cares about his image very very much, so much so that he will blatantly lie to the American people to try and make his image appear bigger than it actually is. He lies simply to make himself appear more popular, and that is so very disappointing. He is POTUS for crying out loud.

"Honestly, who cares if they are marching around the world because they have been fed a myth, reality will trump fiction as time goes on"

-I absolutely agree that reality will trump fiction as time goes on so long as we do not buy into a false 'alternative' reality being peddled by those with big heads but small minds.

"when did you give up on Obama, two years after stimulus did nothing or when?"

-I gave up on Obama once the republicans decided that they were willing to do anything, shut down the govt even, anything, to stop him from accomplishing anything and effectively ensure he would be a failure. Obama's first 2 years were essentially wasted fighting back the worst financial crisis in modern history and it would have been interesting to see what he would have done if he had taken over when the economy was doing decently. He accomplished a great deal but sadly did not accomplish many of the things his supporters were hoping for.

So, an estimated 0.04285714285714286% of the Earth's population is throwing an unsupported temper tantrum of pure mockrage over a man that hasn't done a darn thing wrong yet.  Well done on posting that statistic.  Well done indeed.

(Did I do the math right?  If not, my apologies to everyone else, and maybe someone will come in and calculate that for me. Thanks.)

Really?  You think you could make sense of Trump's 1,000+ page tax return that he most likely never sees because he has an army or accountants creating it?  Do you think that reflects anything about the man and his vast investments?  See, I think a person's college transcripts and papers are far more telling about what that person is like, how intelligent they are and what they studied.  regardless, neither document is required to be president.

What fiction are you reading?  The republicans were, essentially, powerless his entire first term, they didn't impede anything!  The man got EVERYTHING he asked for and then some and it was his JOB to bring us back from that financial crisis, something he demonstrably failed to do.  AS far as economic crises, Regan inherited a much worse economy from Carter along with the energy crisis and run away inflation./  Oh, and Reagan had a hostile congress, both houses, his ENTIRE TIME IN OFFICE.

Maybe if instead of blaming Bush for 4 years he would've looked in into the mirror and said "What we are doing is not working." he'd have had a better record but the man was incapable of that and he never once tried to deal with congress once he lost it.  BTW, the ONLY budget that Obama ever passed was passed by who?  The Republican congress so please, stop with the excuses, the man was an abject failure who didn't know what he was doing.  BTW, most presidents deal with hostile legislatures, it is how the system was designed but your guy had the luxury of four years of sycophants drooling over him in congress and he still failed.

The system is designed to have friction so both sides form policy.  It is designed to force the sides to make deals and work together and make compromises, LIKE REAGAN.  Obama made a point of NEVER crossing the aisle, of only besmirching the republicans, even when they asked to talk, so his failures are his own and no one elses.

Could I make sense of his tax return? Yes, If I took enough time and studied tax law enough I absolutely could make sense out of it, luckily though we have thousands of accountants in this country who could make sense of it much faster than I could, and tell the people what is in there in plain English. Why won't he release them? What could possibly be the motivation for him not releasing them? If he really has nothing to hide in there, then why won't he release them? It would make this a non-issue right away if he released them and nothing damaging was found.

"Do what?"

Pay attention to what is going on in the White house that really matters instead of playing the fake news cards.

"You spoke of it as if it was real news until I called you on it, which means you were uninformed or purposely misleading people"

That one picture the NY times posted is the only fake thing and I did not once refer to it and I agree that it is a fabricated image intended to make his crowds appear smaller. It IS real news in that his crowds are demonstrable smaller than the crowds in 2009. Again, I don't care about the size of his crowd, I DO care, however, that he would lie about the size of his crowds. It once again shows how obsessed he is with the size of his crowds, it reveals his narcissism and need to self aggrandize.

"Which would be all on your side at the moment"

-I don't like the 'us vs. them' mentality that Trump has exploited and fed into. I am not your enemy, I do not think of you as 'them' I think of you as a human being with differences of opinion. I don't have a 'side' I am merely a human being who seeks to understand Trump as he really is and what he really intends to do as POTUS. So far what I have seen is very disappointing to me and makes me very concerned for the future of our country, not only from Trump himself but from his supporters.

Think what you will of Obama, history is likely to judge him as merely a mediocre president, not the train wreck socialist muslim some republicans seem to be convinced he was.

This is what President Trump intends to do as POTUS...  f-people, it's only what he's been saying for over 18 months now.

1. America first:

“We assembled here today are issuing a new decree to be heard in every city, in every foreign capital, and in every hall of power. From this day forward, a new vision will govern our land. From this day forward, it's going to be only America first, America first.”

2. On domestic policy:

“We will build new roads and highways and bridges and airports and tunnels and railways all across our wonderful nation. We will get our people off of welfare and back to work, rebuilding our country with American hands and American labor.”

3. On foreign policy:

“We will seek friendship and goodwill with the nations of the world, but we do so with the understanding that it is the right of all nations to put their own interests first. We do not seek to impose our way of life on anyone, but rather to let it shine as an example. We will shine for everyone to follow.”

4. On unity:

“The bible tells us how good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity. We must speak our minds openly, debate our disagreements honestly, but always pursue solidarity. When America is united, America is totally unstoppable.”

5. On the common brotherhood of all Americans:

“It's time to remember that old wisdom our soldiers will never forget, that whether we are black or brown or white, we all bleed the same red blood of patriots.”

Sure that all sounds great, but Trump lied so much on the campaign trail that I cannot just trust that what he says he will do is what he will actually do. He spewed so much vitriol and bull**** during the campaign after all.

WTF?  I learned that in High School!  What happened to your education?  I then read about it as an adult in books and in the Federalist Papers (at least the ones I could get through).   Haven't you ever read an American history book?

Our constitutional republic is based on the natural friction amongst the three branches of government and the friction between the Senate and the lower house.   It provides a check and balance to acting to hastily  or by the fiat of the minor majority (see Obamacare for when that goes wrong).   A major problem we are having now is the congress abdicating its authority to the SCOTUS in order to avoid making the hard calls (see Rowe vs Wade, if congress had done the right thing and declared it law then much of the continuing strife would have ended).

Madison wrote Federalist paper #51 in order to explain the above.  Heritage provides a small explanation and excerpts at the beginning.  If Hannity talks about this then it is from the authors of the constitution, not him.  http://billofrightsinstitute.org/founding-documents/primary-source-documents/the-federalist-papers/federalist-papers-no-51/

Excerpt; “It may be a reflection on human nature, that such devices [checks and balances] should be necessary to control the abuses of government. But what is government itself, but the greatest of all reflections on human nature? If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself. A dependence on the people is, no doubt, the primary control on the government; but experience has taught mankind the necessity of auxiliary precautions.”

For those that don't know what the Federalist papers are, here is the description from Heritage foundation:

The Federalist Papers (1787-1788)

After the Constitution was completed during the summer of 1787, the work of ratifying it (or approving it) began. As the Constitution itself required, 3/4ths of the states would have to approve the new Constitution before it would go into effect for those ratifying states.

The Constitution granted the national government more power than under the Articles of Confederation. Many Americans were concerned that the national government with its new powers, as well as the new division of power between the central and state governments, would threaten liberty.

In order to help convince their fellow Americans of their view that the Constitution would not threaten freedom, James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, and John Jay teamed up in 1788 to write a series of essays in defense of the Constitution. The essays, which appeared in newspapers addressed to the people of the state of New York, are known as the Federalist Papers. They are regarded as one of the most authoritative sources on the meaning of the Constitution, including constitutional principles such as checks and balances, federalism, and separation of powers.

Of course I know what the Federalist Papers are and thank you for posting information on them for those who know not. However, there are numerous examples of Obama attempting to reach across the aisle, in fact many people on the left think that he was far too bipartisan. One of the mainstream people to untruthfully paint him as a super-partisan was Shawn Hannity, which is why I asked if you listened to him. I am not judging you for it, I listen to him from time to time and he provides a right wing mouthpiece to counter some of the left wing media out there.

Obama began his presidency by reaching across the aisle, he appointed three republicans to his cabinet (a move highly criticized by leftists)

“Liberals are…..irritated because he appears to be set on following the same strategy for the second half of his term that failed in the first half: reaching out to Republicans, getting shot down by a unified GOP, and getting no credit for trying. Outgoing Ohio governor Ted Strickland put it this way….: “…The president said he should have been willing to work with the GOP earlier. What? After all of this you don’t realize these people want to destroy you and your agenda? How many times do you have to be, you know, slapped in the face?”

In 2010 he extended the Bush era tax cuts as part of a bipartisan showing.

2011

President Barack Obama hailed a proposal offered Tuesday by Republican and Democratic senators as “a very significant step” that represents “the potential for bipartisan consensus” on resolving the impasse over cutting the deficit and lifting the debt ceiling.  But reality quickly settled in, as House Republican leaders expressed skepticism, Senate leaders were noncommittal and rank-and-file members of both parties questioned whether it just is too late to pull everything together.”

And in 2012 Obama's jobs counsel was pushing idea's backed by republicans.

If you really read up on what went down it is actually not very clear to be honest, most sources for some of the information are partisan sources. However if you look at the objective information available it shows that Obama tried many times to reach across the aisle but was prevented from making any headway by a republicans strategy of obstructionism. It was the republican parties unwillingness, not Obama's lack of trying, that doomed significant bipartisan collaboration during the Obama administrations term. This is one area where it is absolutely clear that republican pundits twist the truth, leave out facts, and use other strategies to twist the truth. This is one area where Shawn Hannity has lied through his teeth about.

One wonders given your reference to Hannity about a, what I thought, well knows backbone of our republic.

Nice cherry picking but three examples is garbage and here are the real numbers, read 'em and weep;

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/jan/17/president-obama-scores-poorly-working-congress-leg/

From the article:  President Obama oversaw the deepest legislative malaise in modern political history, according to the Washington Times Legislative Index, which captures his struggles to find ways to work with a Congress that ranged from lukewarm to openly hostile toward him.

Over the course of his eight years, he has signed just 1,227 bills into law — less, even, than one-term Presidents Carter and George H.W. Bush. Digging deeper into the numbers, Congress spent less time in session, handled fewer business on the chamber floors and generally sputtered for much of Mr. Obama’s tenure, according to The Times’ index.

.........

“The president was never good at reaching across the aisle. So when the composition of Congress changed relative to what it was in his first two years, he wasn’t able to accommodate that very well,” said Andrew Busch, a presidential scholar at Claremont McKenna College in California. “He never accustomed himself to operating in a system where he was not the sole player.”

He was a petulant man-child

Funny you should call him a petulant man-child when we just elected exactly that to be our next president, a man most concerned with the reported size of his crowds and how wealthy people think he is.

The republicans share at least just as much blame as Obama for failing to work with the president. After all as you well know, the legislative branch is essentially equally as powerful as the President.
