Popular Post seeder Posted January 18, 2017 Popular Post #1 Share Posted January 18, 2017 . Quote CIA releases 13m pages of declassified documents online About 13 million pages of declassified documents from the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) have been released online. The records include UFO sightings and psychic experiments from the Stargate programme, which has long been of interest to conspiracy theorists. The move came after lengthy efforts from freedom of information advocates and a lawsuit against the CIA. The full archive is made up of almost 800,000 files. They had previously only been accessible at the National Archives in Maryland. The trove includes the papers of Henry Kissinger, who served as secretary of state under presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford, as well as several hundred thousand pages of intelligence analysis and science research and development. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-38663522
seeder Posted January 18, 2017 Author #2 Share Posted January 18, 2017 Quote Among the more unusual records are documents from the Stargate Project, which dealt with psychic powers and extrasensory perception. Those include records of testing on celebrity psychic Uri Geller in 1973, when he was already a well-established performer. Memos detail how Mr Geller was able to partly replicate pictures drawn in another room with varying - but sometimes precise - accuracy, leading the researchers to write that he "demonstrated his paranormal perceptual ability in a convincing and unambiguous manner".
rashore Posted January 18, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2017 I can understand why it took a couple years to upload... that's a LOT of documents to process. I've been part of a huge project like that before, loading several years worth of hardcopy. It took a team of temps months just to scan the papers into the system. And it probably wasn't near as much as 13 million. The group I worked with probably had it easier- it was just scan the entire thing, no stopping to pick or choose what to scan or not.
TaintlessMetals Posted January 18, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 18, 2017 Too bad nothing pertinent to any legitimate disclosure will be among these files.

highdesert50 Posted January 19, 2017 #8 Share Posted January 19, 2017 Impressive endeavor when one considers the English Wikipedia is somewhere around 41M pages (source: Wikipedia Statistics).
Calibeliever Posted January 19, 2017 #9 Share Posted January 19, 2017 It is searchable. According to one article, a search on 'UFO' yielded over 1700 results. I haven't had time to go look myself.

brlesq1 Posted January 20, 2017 #13 Share Posted January 20, 2017 It might be interesting when one has some time to kill or nothing better to do. After all, it's not every day one can sift through CIA files, the subject matter notwithstanding.
pallidin Posted January 20, 2017 #14 Share Posted January 20, 2017 (edited) Here's an interesting one from those CIA pages. July, 1965 Source: (click on attachment .pdf ) https://www.cia.gov/library/readingroom/document/0000015255 Antarctica Flying Saucers: A group of red, green, and yellow flying saucers has been seen flying over Decepcion Island for two hours by Argentine, Chilean and British bases in Antarctica. The flying saucers were also seen flying in formation over the South Orkney Islands in quick circles. I got swept up in the paragraph at the top about Buenos Aires suppressing leftist movements by passing a resolution that lumped together fascist organizations and the communist youth federation for purposes of prosecution. And then the next about Meat packers striking. Wow. Oh yeah, the UFO bit was cool as well

lucid_lioness Posted March 28, 2017 #21 Share Posted March 28, 2017 Some of these are quite interesting https://www.cia.gov/library/readingroom/docs/DOC_0000015277.pdf Many reports on triangular type vessels with a light on each end. Can def find some good info here, although much of it is old and hard to read.

The bit about the conductor closing the blinds and nodding toward the back of the train is a head scratcher.

With the amount of creating going on in both the government and private sector I'm sure there are a ton of cars/trucks/aircrafts/boats/drones being made that we have never before seen.
