Trump Inaguration

I saw on the news where Madonna was at the protest and said she thought about wanting to blow up the white house.

Fine example of a woman that offered to do the same to voters.

"Blow up the White House" Madonna seriously said that? If she continues to threaten the life of the President she may find herself in a world of trouble.

Madonna has some nerve talking about committing a felony.

She should be ashamed of her career. She's disgusting.

I don't understand why some on the left think Trump hates Jews, Blacks, Lesbians, Gays etc.. Just uniformed I would suppose.

No...it wouldn't be for that. You see, it's illegal to threaten the life of a US President.

America is a government for the people and by the people and it has been taken over by a massive and incompetent federal government pushing us towards socialism light.   The destruction of the democrat party is America's answer to a progressive agenda, and make no mistake, Obama has devastated the democrat party.   On top of losing over a thousand federal, state and local seats they will lose the SCOTUS as trump will likely select the next two justices..

BOLDED: Trump is by no means a republican or democrat, capitalist or socialist but rather a scattering of all. He subscribes to a hybrid economic model that favours American business by protecting it from foreign competition. Sure he might be anti-regulation, but building walls, imposing trarifs and limiting free trade, governing by populous worker rights are all socialist economic ideals.

Thanks for the link. But i don't really see a threat to eh U.S. president. Unless Madonna intends to poison Trump with a overdose of hairspray and erotic dance moves, i really can't see why the secret service would need to incarcerate or shoot on sight, Madonna. Besides it would only encourage a freedom fighters movement led by Robert De Nero and Meryl Streep to overthrow the government of the United States of America. You really don't want that, Lilly.

Yes, he's also been compared to Andrew Jackson, not for any of the above, but for his bombastic  political style and push for change. Obama neither served nor had much experience in political office and was awarded a Nobel Peace medal for nothing, after which he proceeded to slay his thousands, as well. I said nothing original about Trump only repeated comments from the media.

My  fondest wish would be that he could emulate Roosevelt.  He could, but it would take a change of course   There are certainly a mountain of problems that need to be addressed.  Maybe Donald Trump will be just Donald Trump and do some good.  I did like quite a bit of his speech, and I hope he fulfills it.  Now that I think about it, my dislike for him is not based on his policies as much as the fact he reminds me of Biff in "Back to the Future."  The evil bully defeats the more evil real estate developer lady and the town is saved hooray.   Will he stay a hero, or will he revert to the same old Biff?

I felt so much pride for my country yesterday. I watched almost the whole thing, all day, until I went to bed at 1 AM last night.

I thought of you yesterday and figured you'd be having a great time of it. :)

This photo was circulating around the net and it took me a while to figure out who it was.

What??? Trump is most definitely a capitalist, it is how he made his fortune and building a all to keep people in is communist while building a wall to stop people from entering your country illegally is common sense.  Just when in the F did it become the norm to allow anyone who wished to enter your country to do so?    How absurd!  As far as American business we'll see if he establishes tariffs but the Chinese need to be held to a legal standard they have so far avoided.

I have no idea. And neither does anyone else.

Not sure what that has to do with Trump's inauguration though...

We all know that he wouldn't have gotten within a mile of the Oval Office. Let's keep it real.

I know you are just trying to be funny...but...

Look - people either like Trump or they don't. The same thing could be said about anybody...whether it be a leader of a country...or the next door neighbour. It's simply human nature...as we can't like everybody for whatever the reasons might be.

It was a stupid thing that Madonna said by 'blowing up the White House'. That in my book is basically encouraging more unrest and violence...one can't say a stupid thing like that...then preach about love in the same breath.

No you don't. Anyone who claims they know for definite what would have happened in a hypothetical reality is either lying or delusional.

Trump can call himself whatever he likes but imposing barriers to trade and renegotiating trade deals like NAFTA to favour the U.S. and cancel the TTP agreements isn't about competitiveness one bit. Its the opposite. Don't get me wrong, i think its great that a politician doesn't subscribe to the retarded notion that free trade is always fair and help's a nation's workers, people's living standards etc. But Trump is doing it for another reason. The wall's i was mentioning were more trade and less to do with immigrants entering illegally. But realistically that's exactly what socialism is. The only part that differs from outright socialism is Trump's anti-regulation stance. But the truth is that America is suffering from globalisation and tax avoidance at home by multinational and businesses. Otherwise they rule the business world with their massive companies. But the price is American job's and investment.

If Trump thinks that he can keep corporate America on top of the world while limiting foreign trade on America he's in for a big surprise.

Whatever he does people'll be p***ed because it didn't happen overnight MARK MY WORDS!  They'll be screaming you just wait no shortage of that. Its like cranking up a company in the engines, doesn't happen in a blink but if (Client/users)they know nothing about it they just can't see, or hear/open to anything, well , unless its to engage mouth about I WANT IT NOW! hahahahaha! or actually make that wahawawawaaaaaa!

I base this on the fact that people place symbolism over substance. It's the *only* reason that Clinton, also an unqualified politician, was on the Democratic ticket, and you would admit this fact if you weren't reality-impaired.

Nice try to switch the topic to something totally different. Fact is you just seem to want to believe Obama wouldn't have won if he was white so you don't have to be in the minority who didn't want him. Clinton has nothing to do with it so there's nothing to admit.

Don't get cute. I changed nothing. The fact remains that gender and race trump more vital things, which is wrong in a sane world. You should agree with that. Obama would not have won if he was White. That's just common sense. I mention Clinton because she was judged by her "group". It was not her character or competence, and that should be obvious to you.

You know Astra, if Trump had any self control and didn't feel the need to come out and attack the media for pointing out the obvious I'd agree with you. He attacks anyone that thinks differently to him. Trump has declared war on twitter with anyone, anytime, regardless of their station if they disagree with his god given right to rule the U.S. in his own image. I understand the boundaries of Free speech and all and yes, Lilly was pointing out a valid point. But imagining Madonna blowing up the white house is just a joke and more importantly figure of speech. Trump is outspoken, opinionated and a plain speaking man and he shouldn't have a problem with others that are too.

Trump's a big boy.
