Trump Inaguration

Don't get cute. I changed nothing. The fact remains that gender and race trump more vital things, which is wrong in a sane world. You should agree with that. Obama would not have won if he was White. That's just common sense.

OK I'm just going to cut the irrelevant Clinton stuff.

I've said from the start that race is a factor. I don't think it should trump other things nor do I think it does for most people. The fact that race and gender of a candidate are so important shows just how desperately these inequalities need to be addressed.

Your last two sentences continue to land you firmly in that lying or delusional category again. Certainly not the common sense one. Unless you've anything to add that actually relates to what I'm saying rather than your fantasy realities, I can't see this conversation going anywhere.

Para - surely most folk know that this woman was / is also no saint.

But she didn't become your president...so you can now breath a sigh of relief.

I personally didn't care for either of them.....but besides that....I really hope that Trump does come through for your country by doing the right thing.

But to be fair - I can also understand why there are many, many people (not only in your own country) but also other nations from around the world that feel rather fearful and uncertain about the man.

His inauguration speech was strong and impressive...but I also picked up a certain hostility in parts of it.

Astra, I absolutely agree with you. Trump wasn't my first choice. His attitude and demeanor were horrible. He threw mud as well as the worst mainstream leftists. That was disappointing and discouraging, and I realize that's why we see all of the protests and riots now. However, he had to beat Hillary, so my attitude was "ABC". Now, I will give him the same chance that I gave Obama, whose politics are abhorrent to me, but the progressive hooligans may drive me to buy a red Trump cap. They're pushing many "deplorables" to the right, so they may reap what they sow.

I know you are just trying to be funny...but...

Look - people either like Trump or they don't. The same thing could be said about anybody...whether it be a leader of a country...or the next door neighbour. It's simply human nature...as we can't like everybody for whatever the reasons might be.

It was a stupid thing that Madonna said by 'blowing up the White House'. That in my book is basically encouraging more unrest and violence...one can't say a stupid thing like that...then preach about love in the same breath.

I surprised they let men march. They aren't all inclusive. They scared the women who aren't pro choice off. If you don't march to the beat of their drum you weren't welcome.

This photo was circulating around the net and it took me a while to figure out who it was.

It's extremely relevant! Gender and race should not be at the top of the list. Why can't you get that? Clinton's gender was used, just like Barack's race was used, to send her to the top of the list.

What inequalities? I'm talking about 2016 America. Affirmative action helps minorities and women at the expense of White men, even in this day and age. It's codified discrimination, and it's a real example of inequality.

You have no grasp of facts or truth. Try this experiment, which *might* make you less reality-impaired, but I'm not confident that it will. Imagine if Obama was White, and everything else is the same down to his blood type. Does anybody, with an ounce of common sense, think that he would have won the presidency?

I don't really have any issue with the woman's march, free speech is an important protected right in our country, as long as the protest is peaceful. And yet, with that being said, you couldn't pay me to attend that load of crap. I understand protesting if he does something, but at this point they are just protesting his election, and our democratic process.

Clinton, celebrities, msm and protestors kept repeating it and many still are.  They know if you repeat something enough many people will believe it.

If there wasn't still inequality, race and gender wouldn't be important factors in choosing a candidate. Ask yourself why these people feel yet another middle-old aged white man won't represent their interests.

The rest has been done to death by now.

My  fondest wish would be that he could emulate Roosevelt.  He could, but it would take a change of course   There are certainly a mountain of problems that need to be addressed.  Maybe Donald Trump will be just Donald Trump and do some good.  I did like quite a bit of his speech, and I hope he fulfills it.  Now that I think about it, my dislike for him is not based on his policies as much as the fact he reminds me of Biff in "Back to the Future."  The evil bully defeats the more evil real estate developer lady and the town is saved hooray.   Will he stay a hero, or will he revert to the same old Biff?

Maybe those "victims" are racist and sexist, themselves. Replace "old White men" with any minority group, and leftists will squeal "bigot" like stuck pigs. That's the hypocrisy that put Trump in the White House. Those double standards indeed were "done to death", and many fair people reject them.

Yeah i can just see it now, Madonna being arrested for 'papa don't preach.'

If a derelict drunk screams about killing the POTUS every day from his park bench, he's a nuisance.  If someone with money in the bank, and or weapons available to them and knowledge of how to use them and does the same thing, he'll likely be receiving visitors for a little chat.  She could easily afford to pay for such an attempt.  As Clint Eastwood once intoned - "It's a crime to threaten the life of the president".

I saw on the news where Madonna was at the protest and said she thought about wanting to blow up the white house.

Fine example of a woman that offered to do the same to voters.

A (blank) from Madonna sounds quite nightmarish. It sounds more like a threat than a promise.

Don't know about Jews and Blacks but his choice of cabinet members and running mate are definitely worrying for LGBT people. That and the disappearance of the LGBT rights page of the white house website.

The entire website was being reconfigured between the two administrations. There is nothing sinister about it.

Oh well that must be it. Clearly all these minority groups who support different candidates to your choice are actually racist and sexist. Or, you know, it could be the result of years of experience demonstrably showing that most politicians really do not care about their issues unless they can get enough votes out of it.

If you want to get the last word, feel free, but I'm not going to waste any more time on someone who lives in his own little bubble of fantasy.

Considering Trump's outspoken views on so many subjects i guess Madonna will have to patiently wait for that "chat" with the secret service. Do you think that the secret service should advise Trump to stop the twitter attacks on his foes and more importantly stay away from 80's revival concerts? For security risks of course.

Yeah, that's what I'd heard. But the fact that the two major pages to disappear and still not be back up are LGBT rights and climate change does seem quite the coincidence given Pence and Trumps respective stances on these issues. Hopefully you're right but you must be able to see how it looks to those already worried Trump won't represent them. Or should they just wait four years in the hope those pages reappear someday?

Madonna has some nerve talking about committing a felony.

She should be ashamed of her career. She's disgusting.

Imagine if an overhyped right-winger celebtard said that when Obama was in the White House. Their career rightly would be finished.

In other words, you can't support your nonsensical claims that are demonstrably proven to be false by reality. Cool.

I can see how it may look to CT's, but I will give it more than a day. Anything they put up is going to be gone over with a fine toothed comb for everyone to criticize soon enough.

Obama and staff didn't even have to be out of the White House until yesterday.
