I see your point yet I somehow find your logical concerns being twisted by nationalism. Immigration is the bedrock that your nation is built on but for some inexplicable reason you'all decided that being insular within your walls and tariffs are preferable to what made your nation great. It's confusing and worrying to an outside like me.

Not any kind of nationalism just using common sense...

True we are a nation of immigrants but the world has changed and become a bit more dangerous just freely allowing anyone and everyone to come and go without having a clue who they are!Heck some of the nutjobs that have caused havoc we did know who they were and had them on watch lists but didn't/couldn't do a damn thing about them...

Don't get me wrong,i don't think a wall is going to do much for security concerns on our southern border. We don't have a clue of probably more than 10% of how many tunnels are under our border as we speak, yet we have military bases lined up only hundreds of miles from each other protecting european countries borders from Russia...

A wall will only keep out those who are honest,it won't keep drugs and those with connections out.

Funny thing is that i thought the same about Trump's showmanship 5 years ago on 'The Apprentice.' Without meaning any disrespect to Trump and his supporters... if Trump can be president, well anyone can. Within reason of course. Did you notice Trump's daughter, Ivanka Mr old fart? :)

I was at work doing Old Fart Stuff and actually wasn't able to watch the inauguration, so I missed much of the fanfare (other than what was shown on the news). To tell the truth I think I originally started to dislike Trump because of The Apprentice. I don't like reality shows, period, and Trump constantly struck me as a self-important blowhard (and the pretentious appellation "the Donald" drove me nuts). Goodness, I'm close to ranting so I'll dial it back.

A bit hypocritical of you, Captain Russkie, coming from a country that exercises such tight control of immigration and terrorizes the poor souls who try to enter, illegally. The immigrant population of the United States alone, is almost twice the total population of Australia, so we do more than our share. We'd just prefer it to be legal immigration, as do you.

Sickleandhammerclaw, Australia has 23 million people (with 28% immigrants) while the US population is 324 million (but only 13% immigrants).

Yes, and 324,000.000 x .13 = 42,120,000. You should do the math, first, to avoid putting your foot in your mouth. *lol*

The point being Hammerflaw is that Australia has proportionally double the amount of immigrants than the US.

...you selectively use the example of immigration while leaving out tariffs, tax and restraining American companies from investing abroad to suit your argument.

We can do it by acre too.   The USA has more immigrants per square mile than Australia.   I don't think there is any reason to compare though.   I don't think either of our countries need to feel obligated to add more.   Both have done a good job.

The USA doesn't need more immigrants, especially illegal immigrants.

You just as selectively ignore or are ignorant of your own country's deeply rooted history and policies of protectionism.            http://theconversation.com/protectionism-a-matter-of-national-pride-4983

You must differentiate between legal and illegal immigration.

The best part of the parade start at around point 5:30.

The Marine Band Drum Major leads the 99-piece band and will use a mace to provide concise commands throughout the inaugural parade to include signals to start and stop music,“forward march,” “mark time,” “halt,” and left or right turn. The 35-inch mace weighs 3.5 pounds and is adorned with a double braided gold chain. It is built of Malacca cane with a gold plated ball and a gold plated ferrule. The ball is engraved with the unit’s title as well as the major battles and campaigns of the United States Marine Corps. It is also topped by a fiberglass gold painted replica of the National Capitol Dome. On the bottom half of the ball are the United States and Marine Corps emblems. During the parade, the Marine Band will play:

I'm glad they didn't utilize seat fillers like Others do. I don't care about it though the left sure do.

I finally found a real picture of the inauguration crowds.  This is what I saw.

To be sure, Brit Hume was no cheerleader for Donald Trump leading up to the election, but at least he had the integrity to tell the truth about the deceitful media’s attempt to prove Trump supporters have somehow magically deserted him.

Not too much noise about this:

http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2017/01/23/nbc-wont-comment-on-snl-writers-controversial-barron-trump-tweet.html

Imagine how the media (CBS, CNN, NBC, ABC) would have blown up had this been said about Malia Ann when she was 10 in 2008?   The writer would have been fired immediately.   The media outlets would have been calling for a lynching.

I saw it too. They want to talk about crowd size meanwhile President Trump will be doing the things that our votes went to him for. I think Trump will hold the media accountable from this point on.

i would imagine in this case brainless Katie Rich needs to worry about what Melania will do, quietly.  she is the most powerful women now, and that dummy just insulted her kid.

Not in 2008, but in 2010 it did happened.

Anyway, going after kids... Not cool.

I remember that.   Both Rush and Beck were slammed in the media pretty hard.   Around the same time I think a Republican staffer was saying the Obama girls lacked class or something like that.

Not the same as saying they will shoot people.

I totally agree that going after kids is juvenile.
