There was way to much religion. Too much religion before his speech and then wow, even more after.

I'm not saying it was, it was just the first time I noticed it.

I disagree, its a tradition.  I haven't been in a church in a long time, years, and I wasn't bothered by it.

Ok, your opinion, for me, way to much religion, that is my opinion. Religion should have no part in it.

I think the "King" references may have come from us evangelicals who are praying that President Trump will emulate Cyrus the Great, a secular leader who respected other religions and cultures.

From Wikipedia:

"Cyrus the Great respected the customs and religions of the lands he conquered.[12] This became a very successful model for centralized administration and establishing a government working to the advantage and profit of its subjects.[7] In fact, the administration of the empire through satraps and the vital principle of forming a government at Pasargadae were the works of Cyrus.[13] What is sometimes referred to as the Edict of Restoration(actually two edicts) described in the Bible as being made by Cyrus the Great left a lasting legacy on the Jewish religion, where, because of his policies in Babylonia, he is referred to by the Jewish Bible as Messiah(lit. "His anointed one") (Isaiah 45:1),[14] and is the only non-Jew to be called so."

To add:

many of the trouble makers looked like the anonymous lot. That would be just typical!

Why? apart from Jackie Evancho being a bit shaky,...but that was more shaky than scary.

As much as I think Trump is an ignorant bully blowhard fool with tiny hands.  He actually made complete sentences for an entire speech.  Time will tell if his actions back his words.

The best part of his speech was when he b****-slapped the corrupt, former establishment that was sitting right behind him.

At 12:00 noon, apparently all references to 'climate change' have been removed from the white house website.

With the media openly contemplating Trumps death at the ceremony, maybe some folks were not willing to risk their own safety

Obama was the first black president so that is to be expected. Lots of people didn't show up today because of all of the threats of violence.
