Protesting for what?

It suddenly just occurred to me that I didn't exactly lay out the biggest reason I disagree with the Women's march.

The march wasn't about Trump taking away rights, because never once has he advocated for taking away women's rights. (Now before someone mentions abortion, all he can do is put justices in place to overturn Roe V. Wade which would return abortion back to a state by state basis.) This was about women disagreeing with Trump, and who he is. I don't think it is acceptable to accuse someone of wanting to rob your human rights because they have a different political ideology.

You know I wanted the name for a male activist

I thought that's what it was and I said MRA but I saw someone elses satirical response and confused my self. I wasn't twisting about honestly that's why I asked for clarification...

I think a males rights activist is called an MRA and they are WIDELY insulted by MSM and Mainstream feminism.
Feminism in todays world has turned into an insulting term because of how bat**** crazy the movement has become. Ac is sexist according to some of these new age third wavers.

Agreed. Less division involved and less identity politics.

That's the problem isn't it. We are always viewing the extremes. It's us versus them, the bat**** crazy feminists versus the brow beaten husband.

I have literally woken up in the morning and thanked my husband for still being there.* Life is hard for all of us, for different reasons. We need to work together and respect each other equally, even when we don't agree. The protesters may not make sense to everyone but they are a symptom of something.

* I also like to remind him how lucky he is that I'm still here :)

I'd be willing to try this, but I'm worried the feathers will  give me indigestion.

I was thinking about changing my "quote" below my avy to "I wasn't born with enough middle fingers" and attributing it to Trump

Of course he never said that,it's a line from a Marilyn Manson song but i have no doubts many anti Trumpers would have taken it and ran with it as a thread worthy (Trump hates Americans) quote

He is in constant training.  And he is great considering the pressure his family put him through to not help out.:)

I would tag cleaning implements with his family members names when you know they are stopping by while your at work. Either he will pick up the slack in domestic chore completion or they seem to have enough time to pitch in and assist the fellow.

Mentioning how home baked breads, muffins, and pastries taste better/save money may not be amiss either. My personal preference is a nice sourdough bread for sandwiches and corn muffins for a snack.

Not correct.

Former President Clinton has been implicated in various cases of sexual assault. It has also been proven that he had sexual contact with a White House intern in the Oval office.

As for President Kennedy, he engaged in multiple affairs and even 'shared' Marilyn Monroe with his brother Robert.

Based on Trump grabbing "kiitens" as you have put it, and other women saying he has touched them, then on the same token, Monica Lewinsky sort of bolsters the rape allegations from President Clintons past. Yet Trump is evil, and Clinton is ignored.

I could have my mother in law walk in the house and make gentle remarks about the washing to me, after a 10 hour shift, while her son was home all day. Or remark on my little job or how my working for money is just being greedy I should be home with the children. Because I have a vagina.

I could have my mother in law walk in the house and make gentle remarks about the DIY projects not done at my house.

Unfortunately, the bulk of women don't choose to go into the professions that some feminists would like them to. Even though women have every option available to them, many just don't choose to pursue, for example, skilled-labor type jobs. Demand sets the amount paid for jobs. A lot of women prefer humanities over engineering. There is more of a demand for engineers than sociologists.

Nail on the head.    At the local shop that teaches welding, there are almost zero women who go for it.   In turn, the welders in the area are almost all men.   They make great money.    Same with electricians and millwrights.

At my plant, we would probably choose an equally qualified woman over a man.

OK I read the wiki. The three who accused Clinton of forcing himself on them later came out to support Trump.

If they were truly victims they would not be likely to support anyone close to doing to others what was done to them.

Partisan actors.

I stand by my original statement.

And the consensual affairs between two adults be they Clinton and others or Kennedy and others are not the same as forcing themselves on others.

So they should vote for the wife of the accused?

My husband, also a welder, went to bat for a few women he worked with before we opened our own shop. The women were much more meticulous and produced better x-ray welds. They were still paid less until it went to court. After something like that they make work a living hell. It is also expensive. White females aren't considered a minority so they don't get a lot of public assistance in these situations.

We've been training a twenty year old girl who after two years has surpassed a guy we've been trying to train for almost ten years. Her work almost never needs to be redone. His...can't brag about it. He does have a strong back though.  We're getting old and can't tote and lift like we used to.

Have you had any experience with MRA's?  They thoroughly deserve to be ridiculed by all and sundry.

Someone made a comment earlier that they'd be left leaning submissives. (I cleaned that up for Kismet) I think, if you care to look into it, you'll find the majority of them are right leaning misogynists with a massive sense of entitlement, and a heavy dose of victim mentality.

The main agenda of MRA's is to strip women of their hard won rights.

I'm a roofer, forestry worker, truck driver, and more. I've worked beside women in all of those industries.

I'm proud of modern woman.  Just don't include Madonga in that.

**** you too, Madge.

My overall concern is the environmental impact.

My concern about Trump's actions in signing this memo just days after taking office is about ignoring the will of the people and the good of the nation for the will of corporations and their profits.

As for whether its maintained and up to standards we dont and cant know if it is or not. For example North Dakota had 292 oil spills from 2012-2013 and exactly 1 of those was disclosed to the public.  We live in a corporacy and adding a corporatist at the top has the potential to make it much much worse.

North Dakota had nearly 300 oil pipeline spills in less than two years, none of which were reported to the public.

And 300 hundred spills that weren't reported during Obama's legacy is Trumps problem how?

High standards weren't they? It's astounding!

I have a feeling a lot of Obama's dirty, little secrets are going to be exposed now that they can try to lay the blame on Trump.
