I guess a big part of the problem is that Donald is so smart, and so attractive, that he will always be ahead of the US intelligence services, and always able to lead women by their pussies.

That why he is president of the most powerful country in the world!

Frankie Boyle. Ain't he that sweaty sock who's not funny? The majority(all) of Scotland/Scots who don't want Brexit, don't like Farage and don't like Trump. There's no surprise there. ANYTHING that goes against the English is supported by Scotland.

And by the way, no need to *snip* mods coz I'm 1/8th scotch and I'm not offended.

The petition doesn't call for banning anyone from entering the country. It explicitly says (right where you posted it) Donald Trump should be allowed to enter the UK. The petition is asking that the visit not be a state visit.

That's not hypocrisy.

No state visit?  So the US President is expected to come here, and NOT meet any Royals or the PM?   What... so he just gets a room in a hotel and does the tourist thing around London without meeting any leaders or royals?

Oh thats very kind of Lily to at least allow him in the country and suggest visiting plans WAY ABOVE HER STATION

She should stick to making stupid statements about the how the "UK is HATED because of the slave trade"....

I stand by my words, she is an idiot and hypocrite.... seems many think the same too, see some of these results

You know there are other kinds of visits a foreign leader can have, right? It's not 'state visit or nothing'.

Regardless, you're trying to dodge the issue. Trump has banned certain people from entering a country at all. The petition does not. Ergo, not hypocrisy.

'Way above her station'?

She's a citizen of the UK. She has EVERY right to make her views known whether we agree or not. Just as you and I have that right.

All that proves is that a lot of other people also either didn't read the petition or don't understand what a hypocrite is (although I notice you're trying to shift it to idiot now - that's a different discussion).

No I will stick with both idiot and hypocrite thanks.... Im not shifting to anything. Perhaps your defence of her is because you have her CD?  Or the chance that youre only reading this OP title looking for hypocrisy?   My assessment of her is the broader view....ie: having a working knowledge of all the other times she made an idiot  out of herself.

Look how many times her name and references to a hypocrite are used

If the best you can do is something about owning CDs you clearly haven't got much.

Idiot I can go with. That's very subjective. Hypocrisy has a specific meaning. This is not it.

You do not need to keep posting the same link....it could be considered spamming. You have no idea whether I already read it...or not... and in posting the same link twice  you are guilty of doing the exact thing contained in the link....appealing to the masses....ha,

Furthermore, dont underestimate that I cant understand the words in the posted link title without even having to click it

So youre a supporter of Lily then? You are quite content to hear her voice on behalf of the English people? As a spokesperson on behalf of what us Brits truly want?

'RACIST' JOKE STORM Lily Allen slammed for making ‘deeply offensive’ gag about ‘gypos’ outside London nightclub

The star, 31, was filmed outside a nightclub in London laughing at her own joke which pokes fun at the 'minority group'

Cliff Codona, of the National Traveller Action Group, said: “Her comments are stupid.

"You would expect someone in the public eye, especially in front of so many cameras, to hold back from poking fun at a minority group like ours who already face discrimination.

Quote

She added: “I apologise on behalf of my country. I’m sorry for what we have put you through.“

“Perhaps I could have chosen my words better”

The star, who lives in a £2million house in London, was branded a “champagne socialist” and a “hypocrite” online.

Quote

The song works so well because she implicates herself in the worst aspects of the fame industry. Indeed, her behaviour at the time was “self-destructive” and out of control. “I’m such a hypocrite,” she said. “But that’s why I love that song so much, because it’s so ironic and contradictory.”

Lily Allen blasted AGAIN after claiming Britain is hated because of SLAVERY in Brexit rant
LILY ALLEN has been hit with another wave of Twitter abuse after making bizarre claims about Britain being hatred - because of slavery.

Britain hated because of slavery? She's a bloody idiot......

You're absolutely correct, everyone has the right to make their views known.

This is the crux of the problem though. In modern Britain, everyone CANNOT make their views known. We live in a society where people are being arrested for "hate crimes" for offhand comments made on social media. While many of these comments may well be abhorrent, actually having police arrest people for controversial views is a worrying step towards some dystopian future where people have their every thought policed. On the flipside, it took over a decade to deport Abu Qatada, who was actually guilty of inciting hate and violence, along with links to terrorism.

Modern liberalism, or whatever you want to call it, has become a paradox; freedom and liberty for all... unless you disagree with us.

As a slight aside, I was reading through the notes on the Brexit debate in Parliament yesterday, and came across this:

"Conservative MP Claire Perry says Brexit will be a monumental process and, in an unusual analogy, likens it to studying for A-levels.

She tells the BBC "thank God we have a woman in charge" at this time."

Can you imagine the s***storm if a man had stated "thank God we have a man in charge"?

It seemed to me a perfect snapshot of the world at the minute. We're currently seeing a large shift in the West towards right-wing politics, as left-wing politics is no longer about equality, it's about dominance and suppression of the opposition.

Yep. Spot on. No music awards for just white originating music. No white teachers association.(or whatever the black ones called) No straight pride.. Even the police has a black/asian organisation. Need I go on.. They're everywhere and nowhere.

Rip off Britain.

Well given that you continue with the same fallacy (and, as demonstrated in the bold here, don't understand what it means), it seemed worth posting again.

As for the last, don't try and put words in my mouth. I've said nothing of the sort. What I have said, and will always say, is that she has the right to be heard just like the rest of us.

Oh, and pointed out the definition of a word. I was a teacher, I'll always do that too :P

I actually agree with you on this. While I can see the case for 'hate speech', I think it's used too broadly now. If someone starts saying all left-handed people should be killed or that brown-eyed people are less intelligent, that would be hate speech. It is likely to have a direct, negative impact on certain people's lives without reason. Disagreeing with someone, or criticising them with good reason, is not hate speech, whatever race, gender, age or whatever.

With your aside, the gender one is one that really annoys me. Had an email from my uni the other day offering free courses in computing but only for women. Can only imagine the reaction if they offered courses only for men.

As for world politics, I think it's a serious problem that so many characterise an entire political movement by one policy. In the US, the right are the gun loving, anti-abortionists, the left want to give everything to everyone for free. Not quite as bad in the UK but the right are the people-hating exploiters and the left can't handle money.

If people could look past the one policy they dislike, they might see some of the many good ones both sides have to offer. I think I've said before, I don't class myself as left or right for exactly this reason.

Yeah you're right and if you'd have given it another few minutes I could have saved you the effort.

Ever heard of tounge in cheek bud? The conspiracy version that is and not the one everyone believes?

A lot of these signatures will be a bot, like the previous protest petition.

And also all these SJWs we keep seeing everywhere now, shouting and harassing anyone who doesn't agree with them are no better than Trump. Possibly worse since many of them are massive hypocrites.

Everyone needs to cool down, see how things play out and stop freaking out like idiots.
