Looks like a coronal discharge. I wonder if something like that has been seen from the surface or airborne? Definitely interesting, and awesome.

Yes, it can be seen from the ground and airborne if your eyes are adjusted to the dark, and you're not in a bright place (like a city).

Looks to me there's a few blue starters there too, in addition to a couple blue jets themselves.
