Jon101 Posted March 10, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2017 (edited) It seems that, according to this article:https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/mar/09/look-on-my-works-ye-mighty-ozymandias-statue-found-in-mud, a large and well preserved statue, possibly of Ramses II, has been discovered in Cairo. The excavation and treatment of the site looks shoddy, surely they could drain it and section the ground, who knows what else is lurking in the mud?.
