The guy who was here with the Serapeum beer box theory (I won't use his name...he posts sometimes at Hall of Maat and I suppose elsewhere) had done this and then used it as 'academic' foundation for his article on same which was published over at Ancient Origins and also for his thread here.  Very circular and self-referential...and to use the vernacular: tricky; so it seems to me.

People faking a Native American ancestry would submit a fake genealogy to the LDS database ( because the Mormons don't check ****). Then pull it back out and use it as "proof". That failed when all the ancestry record websites came about though.
