What happens next?  Which one is it?

- Britain leaves with No Deal next week.

- Brexit delayed to June

- Brexit delayed for 2 more years

- Another no confidence vote on Theresa May

- General election

- European election

- Resignations

- Other?

There's a multitude of possibilities lets say they agree to a delay that takes us into the EU elections, then we veto everything, they'd be so glad to see us go they'd find away around the backstop.

Yes, looking at the way the whole process has been handled, you couldn't have done a worse job if you done it on purpose..... hmm<_<

Problem: Well there’s the thing. Ask yourself how would you organise a second referendum? Well for starters you need a bigger vote than the one that won first time around (in order to legitimately claim a fair democratic process). You need time to convince the people to change their vote. You need a reason to convince the sheeple that Brexit is too hard and costly and a rethink is needed.

Solution: create as much confusion and delay Brexit is the first steps. Organise a second referendum as a solution to the problem. Offer two choices. Make one as negative as possible and the other positive.

Result: No Brexit!

Ahh....the Irish solution. i.e keep asking the same question until you get the result you want.

or in other words, Ignore what the people actually want......hmmm it's a long shot, but it just might work.

9 days till Brexit.

German economic growth slashed by 50% to 0.8%. UK economy as grew 0.5% already.

Worrying times a head for the euro. 10% UK tariff on german cars. Oh dear, how sad, never mind.

Looks like you want to invest in Europe the UK is the place.

The Irish got what they wanted in the negotiations that followed rejection in the first referendum - that's why they voted in favour the second time around.

Who and what gives the PM the right or permission to write a letter to the EU asking for a 3 month extension? And for what reason?

Lets hope the EU say No.

Total capitulation by the Tory govt.

9 days till brexit. Or shall we rest the count down.

Funny old game politics.

I'm hoping for a no from the EU council, this mess is being extended for far too long. There was a referendum with a Leave vote, there was a rejection in parliament for the agreement, time to end this, lets just keep security information channels open and the rest goes WTO way.

5,000+ jobs cut at Fords Germany. Because of Brexit. Another two plant closures to follow. VW & BMW, Oh dear. And the German economy on the brink of a recession. Missed going into recession at the end of last year by just £100million.

This sort of thing doesn't happen in EUtopia land. Is Germany leaving the EU???????

Meanwhile UK signs trade deal with Norway and Iceland.

What a day for Britain's post Brexit prospects:

Liam Fox does another £30 bn of trade deals.

USA offers UK a huge trade deal - and quick

Toyota announces they will build new hybrid cars in Britain

Jobs/Employment at a all time record high in 40 years.

NO DEAL = NO PROBLEM

REMAINERS it's not meant to be like this.

News just in

This is the same deal that's been defeated massively in the HoCs twice already. And was blocked by the speaker only this week. So it's no deal then. Brexit 29th March.

9 days till Brexit.

I wouldn't use those words but basically yes. In some cases it's best to defer to the experts. And as much as it pains people to admit it, politicians (not to mention economists) are experts. I know we like to hate on them, and with good reason, but it's still the truth.

It's like an anti-vaxer trying to argue a case against vaccines with their doctor. Or climate change deniers trying to educate climatologists. Some subjects are simply too complicated and important for a layman to having a deciding say in policy.

For the record, I didn't really care about the referendum and fully supported the result because it was the will of the people. It's only after these years in between that I realise how wrong I was. And recent polls show that I'm not alone. If another referendum happened now, after people have actually become educated on the matter, then remain would undoubtedly win.

pity the '''expert ''' politicians aren't expert at abiding by the democratic process re the referendum...
the public display of squabbling and prevaricating by a large number of MPs trying to stop Brexit
happening at all and attempting to thwart the decision to leave - is embarrassing...

as for your last statement... if they somehow manage to wangle a 2nd referendum with the same
choice........... don't be so sure.......... this was the same kind of over blown confidence that we had
before - and we all know how that turned out - There would also be other dimensions to another
referendum... and that would be teaching the politicians a lesson and voting for or against democracy..

Here's a heads up, folks... mind how you go if travelling this weekend!

"The route has been revealed for a 'go slow' protest across Yorkshire this weekend which is aiming to bring roads to a standstill.

Truck and HGV drivers across the country are planning a series of demonstrations across the UK on Friday and Saturday, threatening to disrupt traffic, in a move they say is a result of concerns that the UK may not leave the European Union as planned on March 29."

Not a very catchy slogan is it : Vote remain. Have a recession. High unemployment.

Not a good time to be leaving.

sorry , 21 days till Brexit...

EU leaders have agreed on a plan to delay the Article 50 process, postponing Brexit beyond 29 March.

The UK will be offered a delay until 22 May, if MPs approve the withdrawal deal negotiated with the EU next week.

If they do not, the EU will back a shorter delay until 12 April, allowing the UK time to get the deal through or to "indicate a way forward".

another vote, voting for May's WA will be the last chance. after that the French have made it perfectly clear that hard Brexit will precede. May has lost control of the process.

Well, we're not leaving on the 29th. Time to see if the tough talkers here have the courage of their convictions.

EU allows time to thwart Brexit. No surprise there then.

I guess we can just ignore the law which states we leave on 29th March.

Events are certainly illuminating.

Extension needs voting on. Should take 2 days.

Vote for a third time on WA. (Been twice defeated)

Needs explaining. Need for the delay. And cost of the delay.

If both are voted down we leave on the 29th March.

May is becoming a pain in the posterior , how do we stretch 9 days into 21 days with the same outcome , plus an hour forward on the clocks , its time she said OK NO DEAL we are out , and see what the reaction is from Germany and France , if we stop buying E.U. goods the above countries will crap themselves and start begging us to help them , as their economies will certainly take a huge fall off which ever cliff they are on .
