If anyone is going to be tossing around nuclear weapons in a fit of pique it will be Kim Jong Un.

This particular family regime is repressive likes of which haven't been seen since Stalin. KJU is a horrific dictator with a great deal of blood on his hands, yet you conclude that President Trump is the one most likely to 'lose it' and start lobbing nukes here and there.

No wonder the world is so damn messed up.

LOL I have to chuckle because I genuinely think the fact that people dont think Trump is just as likely to do something stupid as Kim is is the reason the world is so damn messed up.

Theyre both egomaniacs,   theyre both surrounded by oligarchs and sycophants and neither have any real world experience. Hell Trump actually has more to gain (theoretically) than Kim does by provoking conflict based on the US's historical record of war time presidents getting reelected with high approval ratings.

Potato. potatoe

Ok, who has Trump murdered? Is Trump part of an evil dynasty that never required him to be elected? Does Trump have absolute power to do anything he pleases? Does Trump function in a reality where he is revered as a god with absolute power? Does everyone else in the government bow down to the whims of Trump? Does Trump operate without benefit of a Constitution?

To say that Trump and Kim Jong Un are exactly the same is absolutely ridiculous.

Im not saying they're exactly the same. There are some striking similarities however.

What I am saying is that trump has never demonstrated that he has a grasp on reality, he has no firm political convictions so he cant be trusted and he has demonstrated to the world for several decades that his ego is the most important thing to him.

Oh, and to clarify a few points, the United States has won wars. The most memorable being one that took place back in the 1940s, you might have heard of it, WWII?

Second, most Americans do not revel in the death of others. However, when it comes down to a choice of us dying vs those who are trying to destroy us dying then yeah, we will use force.

If Lil' Kim lobs a nuke at any of his neighbors then the USA is obviously next in line, and we will act to stop him BAMN (by any means necessary).

I surely of am the opinion that wars should be fought over There, and not allowed to get to the point where it comes Here. It may sound barbaric, but I'd prefer the other guy to die rather then one of ours.

Well in fashion sense anyways.

Other than that though the trumpster's upbringing and the kimsters have more similarities

Pyongyang seeks ASEAN’s help to avert ‘nuclear holocaust’ as Trump warns of ‘major conflict’

North Korea is seeking support from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations to prevent a potential “nuclear holocaust,” as US President Donald Trump warns of the possibility of a “major conflict” in the Korean Peninsula if diplomacy fails.

Washington’s actions and rhetoric are pushing the region to the “brink of war,” North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho wrote in a letter to ASEAN’s chief Le Luong Minh from Vietnam.

So is bin Laden the new Hitler now? Surely he's old hat now. he's the old new Hitler. The new Hitler is Putin or Kim Jong thingy, surely.

A fallacy by any other name would surely smell just as sweet.  As long as an argument is being dismissed solely by invoking an unpleasant association, rationalism and intelligence suffers.  If Yamato were making an actual comparison, that would be valid, but to simply claim ""Oooh!  That's something bin Laden/Hitler/Kim Jon-whichever would do!" is the cheapest form of argument.

You made an absolutely ridiculous comparison and Lilly called you on it, I'd leave that one be as there is zero up side for you in this argument.  Don't be a yammie ;)

I'll be glad to answer this:

The American Revolution, The War of 1812, The Mexican American War, The Civil War, The Spanish American War and WWI and WWII.

Though the Canadians and British dispute the War of 1812.......... Unsurprisingly......

With WW2 there certainly can not be doubt. Without the US involvement Japan would have taken the whole of the Western Pacific, and Russia and Germany might have fought to a standstill. Europe as it is today only exists because of the US involvement in WW2.

I'm not sure why people think of Korean War as a tie or loss. The goal was to keep S Korea free from N Korea. Goal accomplished = Win in my book. The goal was never to over throw the N Korean government.

And of course we won both recent Gulf Wars.

The massive protests against the US putting the THAAD there because the S. Koreans fear that makes them more of a target for fat kim.

That's kinda stupid then and if S. Koreans don't realize Seoul is top priority target #1 immediately if/when war breaks out they are living in a fantasy land!...

Doesn't matter if aliens attack NK,Seoul will bear the brunt of of the counterstrike lol

More of a target? Are you serious?

A target is a target Farmer. That's like saying we shouldn't be so harsh with ISIS. "They will hate us more!"

Come on amigo.

I was just reporting the story bro.

They , specifically the locations where they are placing the THAAD , feel that having them placed in their towns makes them a strategic target. I can see some legitimacy in that though.  The concern over having your neighborhood intentionally targeted as opposed to your whole nation randomly targeted
