The Caspian Hare Posted June 1, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 1, 2017 This is significant because it is the first try against an actual ICBM flight profile. https://missilethreat.csis.org/mda-release-missile-defense-test-successful/
The Silver Thong Posted June 2, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 2, 2017 It won`t work. Some I won`t say who but a few have nuclear missles that carrie up to 10 warheads that split up in low earth orbit that use a radical flight path on the way to the target. Lets say 10 of these were fired it would meen shooting down a 100 warheads. I bet there are even stealth ICBM`s, we have planes and ships that are stealth whats the next step. An ICBM you can`t even see. Plus these new nukes go hyper sonic faster than almost any missle.

We launch our missiles that can shoot down his missiles. It's all part of the game.

This stuff didn't magically appear in the last few months, but a fire had to be lit under the Pentagon to get them to go out there and test it out. Well in the last few months we bombed an airfield in Syria, dropped a MOAB, test fired an Minuteman missile and now this ICMB interceptor test. So I would say he isn't the only one showboating. There is a reason why we don't play with all our toys in public normally.

Droping the mother of all bombs means little, what did it do, oh killed what, 28 isis guys. The bombing in Sryia Did nothing. The Icbm intercepector missle was bad even to deffend against a school kid throwing a rock. What we need to understand is that the world has moved forward militery wise as the US sat back thinking they where the hare in the race. It really is not about weapons anymore, people kill people all the time. Right now it`s about ideology and how this weapon is far more dangerous.

Quote New report indicates the MOAB bomb killed many more ISIS terrorists than previously thought Devastating aftermath of the 'Mother of all Bombs': Children play among the rubble in Afghan town where largest non-nuclear weapon ever used by US military killed 94 militants including four ISIS leaders Ministry of Defense official said the death toll could rise as the bomb site is assessed http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4413864/Afghan-death-toll-mother-bombs-rises-94.html#ixzz4kOw1zRIS Edited June 18, 2017 by skyeagle409

And until they get a nuclear-powered sub they will not be able to do long-range patrols.

Not having a firm guarantee that your ballistic missile will not strike where it is aimed. is a deterrent in itself, not to mention that many more ballistic missiles and bombers will be responding even if only one NK missile was launched at the US and the end result would be the destruction of the NK regime as we know it today. In other words, NK would be conducting its own suicide. Common sense, you understand, especially when there is no guarantee that all of your ballistic missiles will even launch successfully, After all, how many of NK's missiles have failed? In addition, they must understand that if tensions exceed a certain limit, with Trump's mindset, he may decide to take out NK's missiles with a preemptive strike. Common sense would also dictate that North Korea would not even dare attempt to do so, but then again, the US had the capability to knock down missiles decades ago. Now, that the interceptors have been upgraded since the last failure, let's see how far NK will take the US. On another note, there are very good reasons why flight test of such interceptors are carried out and that is, to determine what went right and what went wrong and to make corrections in order to make it right. Just to let you know, that a NK ballistic missile would face not one interceptor, but multiple interceptors. That is the way we would do things.
