You didn't even read the article, did you? It is about the Netherlands! It's really embarrassing now...

And stop it with your propaganda videos.

E: Oh, wait, maybe you are not even aware that Germany and the Netherlands are both sovereign nations. Do I have to explain to you how many countries we have in Europe, and what the EU is? Do you think there is an EU police?

I don`t know I should even point this out to you. If it`s fake let me know I can take it.

I said there was an EU police I don`t think I ever said that actually I know I didn`t. Hmm so I guess according to you I can`t say Canada is not connected to the US.

I was asking you a question. You should have answered with yes or no. I didn't make the claim you said there was. So much for reading comprehension.

I find it remarkable how you just cut past the embarrassing things you say and move on. I have refuted so many of your claims tonight, that it's enough for me. It's 11 PM over here, and I think I have earned my rest. Catch you tomorrow, buddy!

It's the Trump approach: ramble and spout crap and eventually you might make a valid point (only so many words in English after all). Then just deny or ignore all the ill-informed, embarrassing stuff you came out with before.

OK, that's nice.

Must call that family from Lesotho that stayed with me for a few days. Or the Kenyan family I spent a month with.

God knows how I've survived this long.

Or, you know, the Canadian maybe doesn't know as much about Europe, the Middle East or Africa as he'd like to pretend.

Good point. We should all strive to be more like the UK: peak perfection of what a country should be. The perfect language, the perfect economy, the perfect utopia...

Even though your country is now averaging a major terrorist attack every few weeks and your politicians excuse it, you seem to have no qualms pointing out the failures and inadequacies of other nations. Between the EU and the horrible, horrible long-term choices for Prime Minister, the future of Britainistan is bleak. Continue slinging mud at America if it makes you feel better because in 15 years it won't matter: your most popular baby name will be Muhammad but we will still be America. Now scurry along so you don't miss the call to prayer.

How else could you stop them?

Either you get them, either you sink them. Or you'd rather shoot them on the shore? It would be bad for tourism, but still better than bloated corpses washing ashore.

Why not just escort the boats back to shore? If they land, incarcerate the occupants until they can be identified.

Or you can shoot them, Helen, if it makes you feel better.

I'm under no illusions about my country and if you believe I think it's perfect, you're not paying attention.

But the flaws of my country don't excuse yours. I have a different prediction, from the inside. In 15 years, Britain will still be in decline on the world stage but life won't change much for us. The US will either have got back on track as a world leader or will continue its newfound trend into isolationism and obscurity. I hope I'm wrong but if your attitude is representative of the average American, I don't think I am.

You've got problem with understanding the written contents if you somehow managed to mangle what I actually said into its complete opposite. Or maybe you've got problems identifying sarcasm? Or maybe you're just trying to sit on two chairs at once. That art takes a little more balanced people, you know.

Escorting them back from where to where? From Lampedusa to Libya? Who's paying for that? One could open a workshop in Africa and employ the whole boatload with the money wasted on fuel and personnel for just one trip back to (currently) hell. Few trips and you've got water pumping station or small hospital etc.

Incarcerate... sure, that solves... how many problems? None. Exactly none. Instead of refugee you've got a prisoner.

By the way, these people are identified, or at least listed. Contrary to popular rabid hate- and fear-monger theories, they are not prone to terrorism. They are running away from it.

Only through helping them you can help yourself.

Or you can shoot them on the shore. Or wade through corpses in the shallows of blue Mediterranean sea. Smell decomposition in the salty breeze. (Certainly, it will be someone else to actually do that, you'll just cheer in front of your screen.)

See, I just realized how much you don't understand what you're talking about.

Go in peace and try to go outside some more. Maybe it dawns on you.

All you have is illusions about your country. Every news article and every story is met with your deep skepticism and usually just outright denial. You claim to know what's happening better than any of us since you are at ground zero but you are only person - you can't possibly know every neighborhood and street. If the UK is as safe and unaffected as you constantly imply, where is all the terrorism content coming from?

...but it already has. London is under the thumb of Islamists now, from the political to the street level. You can claim all day that Sharia courts don't hold any legal weight and you may be right - but how long will that last? How long until other sympathetic Muslim MP's are elected and start to restrict the rights of non-Muslims, like they are attempting to do with "Islamophobic speech" in Canada? Jihad isn't always about bombs and guns, there is a very heavy political element written in their texts. Political Jihad is still a form of Jihad. However, there is a resistance growing.

10,000 Londoners marched through the streets to protest extremist Islam and Sharia Law, although something seems to be missing...

"Moderate Muslims"

Here's my challenge to you: find a MSM article covering this event. *** blocked ***, the independent, the BBC, I don't care. The point is to illustrate how strongly the major outlets are trying to portray a different narrative than what is happening. They are quick to cover any perceived Islamophobia but they won't cover 10,000 people marching through the streets in defiance of it? Just look at that crowd and tell me how this wasn't a national story.

This is a big deal for the UK and just highlights, yet again, the folly of expecting the major news outlets to accurately report what is happening around you.

Don't presume to know what the situation is in the U.K. having only the media to inform you.

then openly criticise the media for not giving a representative picture.  That makes your whole outlook on the subject rather weak.

I don't presume anything - I react to what I hear and read from sources in the UK. Openly criticizing one form of media doesn't apply that criticism to all media. For example, I posted a YouTube video because a BBC article on the march doesn't exist. The state sponsored media is neglecting to cover a major event that happened at home because the event shows vast numbers of people supporting a different story than what has been presented. CNN has been doing the same thing here with ANTIFA and "free speech" events - they simply refuse to give air time to a story that doesn't meet their criteria, no matter how important the story is.

That is pretty gross and very worthy of criticism.

No, I can't know every neighbourhood and every street but I can know a damn sight more than you can from thousands of miles away. Incidentally, I work in Bradford, one of the most diverse cities so I think I have a rather better understanding of the situation in the UK than you do.

Every story should be met with scepticism. Otherwise you're just blindly accepting the first account you hear. Oh wait...

Gee... wonder why moderate muslims wouldn't be there. Perhaps concerned these people wouldn't differentiate between moderate Muslims and extremists?

FYI your summary is also wrong. 10,000 Londoners did not march to protest extremist Islam and Sharia Law. A few hundred to a few thousand members of the Football Lads' Alliance (drawing from the whole country, not just London), marched to protest against extremism. The Met hasn't issued a confirmation of numbers so your claim of 10,000 is also unsubstantiated. 500 were expected. This is according to Breitbart (thought I'd find something to your taste).

I would like to see your source.

The Times and Express are pretty mainstream.

As much as anything, it was eclipsed by the simultaneous EDL and UAF marches with their clashes and one speaker claiming he'll 'be the first white suicide bomber'. More of a news story than 'a few hundred football fans marched peacefully'. They have another one planned for October. It'll be more interesting to see how that's reported.

Hey, I just said 'if'.

I don't think you can be representative of the average American since I know quite a few who are pleasant people capable of an informed, civilised debate.

ETA: I'll make the same offer I made to And Then. Come to the UK, we'll go for a drink and see if we can find these extremist, no-go areas you think exist.

Precisely so.  I used to think that most of the Muslims that fled Islamic/Sharia dominated countries came here or Europe for freedom.  Now I wonder if they are simply complicit with the terrorists or too damned cowardly to stand apart from them.  France and Sweden are gone.  It would take a civil war to regain the land that was freely given to the immigrants.  Germany and the UK still have a chance but they need to remove ALL Liberal politicians from office asap OR actually begin shutting down commerce with protests.  These governments are interested in some goal that the people DO NOT SHARE, and the people will have to fight it, sooner or later if they wish to be free.
