Well, one of the posters in this thread (was it you?) stated that Hillary sold nuclear materials to terrorists. If that's not an exaggerated accusation then I don't know what is.

Look, these emails prove that Trumps team was perfectly okay with Russian collusion if it would benefit them. These emails prove that the MSM has been right about this all along. I will never understand why you keep supporting Trump in light of all of this. I think it means that he knew the NYT was about to release those emails and so he released them himself before they could do that to try and appear as though he was not trying to hide anything (when he certainly would not have released them if the NYT was not about to do so).

Certainly and certainly it would work until someone actually reads those mails... which is exactly what happened. By releasing them himself, he lost valuable time he could buy while claiming NYT faked or altered them. 

Rushing to prove they are real, he buried everyone involved immediately. 

That's why I find this bizarre, even for Trumps.

Even if Trump Jr. believed he was going to get "damaging information" from Russian sources, did he get what he wanted? Did the Russians actually relay anything important to Trump Jr.? If not, then there is no story besides Trump Jr. trying to get an edge over Hillary's campaign. If the Russian's interfered in the elections, it was outside of Trump Jr.'s circle.

What do they prove? The released emails are a thread between Trump Jr and the Trump campaign manager setting up a meeting between Trump Jr. and Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya. They briefly discuss some details of the upcoming engagement and that's it. Goldstone (campaign manager,) was told by the Russian Crown Prosecutor that they have incriminating evidence against Hillary Clinton they would be willing to share.

I ****en hate playing tit-for-tat all the time but it is in context. Give this a read and tell me how it's different than the Trump Jr. story.

He advised him to release the emails because the NYT already had them (this is declared in the Assange link you provided). The NYT also already stated this. They contacted him to give him time for a response and he tried to pre-empt them by Tweeting out the content.

And no, those are all opinions as to why it isn't illegal. Whether or not it is collusion - the original, almost year old accusation - is not up for debate. It is clearly collusion. It's a step by step in the process of the act of collusion with the Russian government. This could not be any more clear if he came out and said "I colluded with the Russians".

And for the record, point 3? We have no clue what happened in the meeting (or how many other meetings there have been). All we know is that Jr has lied and changed his story three times, showing clearly that anything he says cannot be trusted (if lying about collusion for an entire year isn't enough of a reason not to trust him).

But here's another that's also not up for debate. People can defend Jr regarding whether or not he broke the law, but Kushner has no such defence. In his application for security clearance he lied about this (and other meetings it seems), which is 100% a crime and punishable by law along with revocation of security clearance.
