Manfred, people hate Ashlee Simpson for many reasons. 1- she has no talent. 2- she is only famous because of her sister. 3- her daddy has some pull in the record industry, which is why her and her sister got a contract in the first place. 4- she can't sing and her songs are terrible. 5- she became super famous when she screwed up on SNL. The list goes on really. But the main idea stays the same: She's talentless and famous. But it's distressing to me that so many of the great muscians are losing their songs. The newer generation won't know 'Another Brick in the WAll' by anything other than "that cool song where Korn talks about how we don't need to go to school". I guess it's like Avril Lavigne (or insert any popular artist) covering your very favorite SlipKnot song and hearing everyone call it Avril's song. Do some research into Jon Davis and you'll see just how brilliant this guy can be. Ha...I get side-tracked when it comes to this sort of stuff. I doubt poor Ashley will be invited to perform live anywhere soon (God, I would join a convent and never show my face again! Better than her younger sisters, but not good enough that she should be this popular. Someone with an excellent singing voice? Christina Aguilera. I don't like her at all, her image is very tasteless. But I do love her voice, it's very powerful. I see what you mean about Korn. I do agree that they started out good and original, but right after their second album when they got very mainstream, they just got terrible... there seems to be little effort in their songs. During Jay Leno's skit last night he said that about half way through the performance people were wishing she had lip synched... I can't imagine how this girl ever got started in the business; she doesn't appear to be talented and on top of that seems rather full of herself.
