The settlement was confidential. That is the official word - from the Canadian Government.

Where are the media getting this figure from?

Your kidding right ? Are you saying he wasn't paid 10.5 million and the media is fake? ok sure. He was paid 3 dollars lol

I'm aware what the media says. It doesn't change the fact that the settlement was confidential.

No it is not confidential we know what he was paid. If it's confidential maybe we paid him 40 million.

So who broke the confidentiality?

Or are confidentiality agreements meaningless in Canada?

and it means nothing...... the tax payers wanted to know why and how much and it was over 10 million.  Most Canadians are pretty p***ed off at this.

Details of the settlement are confidential, but an official familiar with the deal has said it was for 10.5 million Canadian dollars ($8 million). The official was not authorized to discuss it publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

Still friends ?

Why not? Just asking questions!

But you can see how many media reports discussed a secret deal and a figure; yet didn't say how they got the information.

Questions are always good never stop asking for answers. Sometime we hate them and sometimes we just have to ok. I sometimes rub people the wrong way I get that trust me I get that.  I'm a true believer in a 2 way street. However imo immigration is out of control to get back on topic a bit.

All of this. Ahmad A. has been known by the competent authorities as to be an islamist, former drug- and alcohol consumer and a person suffering a personality disorder. A friend of him informed the competent authorities that he might became jihadists, so he was interviewed and classified as to be not posing a threat to the public later on. The case is now in the hands of the German federal prosecutor, who is in charge for all crimes related to known and supposed terrorist related activities on German soil. In addition, investigations about an unsolved murder of a 16yo boy in Hamburg in October 2016, the victim got stabbed, got started as there is a likelihood that Ahmad A. was responsile for this murder as well.
