Surgery over and successful by noon on Monday. He had to remove. Bone spurs that had adhered to the dura of the spinalcord. This caused leaks of the spinal fluid and THAT caused unending, disabling headaches. If I raise my head above the level of my feet I want to scream in pain   Not sure when I'll get home...  Best wishes to you all!

I had a feeling it might be complex (being near the spinal cord). 

I hope the social visits help ease the situation and that you are able to occupy yourself, e.g. maybe your hospital is like those in London and there is access to your own TV that has a phone and online facilities?  

Hope it won't be too long now before you can go home...it will be all the sweeter for you being away this long.

I would send you some cookies and a bottle of lucozade, but i left them in the dungeon and they got eaten and drank. 

How is the hospital food, does the mash run or stick on the plate?

last time I was in hospital the nurse gave me 6 tablets to swallow, so....with the tabs in my mouth I tried to ask her a question

Then she said in an apparent answer to my mumbled question.....  " are youre testicles black"?  "oooh I dont think so but let me have a look"...then she pulled the sheet down, lifted my gown...softly grabbed my testicles and held them while looking carefully....then she said "No theyre not black....they are lovely and pinkish as they should be...whatever made you think your testicles were black?".... ...well by then I had swallowed the pills so could talk normally without mumbling....and so I said...."actually nurse...I asked if my test results were back"

Sorry to hear about your illness, hope you are better soon.  Being in the hospital can be such a drag.  Tell you to get some rest then wake you up to take your vitals.  Hot food barely warm and cold food room temperature.  Can't believe they really expect someone to eat that.
