Still Waters Posted August 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2017 A US technology firm has developed a drone that is able to aim and fire at enemies while flying in mid-air. The Tikad drone, developed by Duke Robotics, is armed with a machine-gun and a grenade launcher. The gun can be fired only by remote control, and is designed to reduce military casualties by cutting the number of ground troops required. But campaigners warn that in the wrong hands, it will make it easier to kill innocent people. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-40901393
Space Commander Travis Posted August 12, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 12, 2017 This is a great advance for civilisation. Funny how these geniuses never have any trouble thinking up improved ways to kill people - at little or no risk to yourself!

Eldorado Posted August 12, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 12, 2017 From the article... "But campaigners warn that in the wrong hands, it will make it easier to kill innocent people." A knife and fork in the wrong hands makes it easier to kill people. Better the "good guys" have the tech and ideas first.

There are also eminent domain caveats in the USA that state should a person lack the power to file a patent of national interest the state would do the filing on behalf of the person and pay 10% of the value of the patent, with all rights revoked ofc. It's much better than being on campus.
