How hard can it be to find out?

Its not like there are very many of them, a 5-ddigit number last I checked, and not a very high one.

... and speaking of that... how is it that you guys always seem to think that the looniest little fringe of the Right is not only the most important segment of the population, but the most influential and the very bedrock of all American Politics?

Hey, I know that sounds crazy, but so does flooding the news with every aspect of how those psychos think, look at act. I mean, the very fact that one of them said something nice about Trump makes you guys want to storm into the White House with guns blazing and stage a coupe, from the sound of it.

Someone once approached me and asked me if I wanted to be a Nazi, want to punch/kill/mangle me too?

(I told him that if I wanted to hook up with a dead religion, I'd be with the Druids. That was the last good fist-fight I was ever in...)

You answered nothing.  Congratulations.  I wasn't even asking you.

Just once, how about un-edited words, instead of talking heads changing it to suit them?

How about facts instead of innuendo?

Unedited words?  I watched the whole press conference!

How childish can you get?

You piggy-backed yourself onto my answer to a Farmer post about 5 minutes ago.

Jeez!

Let's see now. Since the Civil War, all the Senators, Congressman, Governor's and all the past Presidents, refused to do enough about hate groups to shut them down. These hate groups hide behind "freedom of speech" when, If they had THEIR way they would take ALL the rights away from those they wrongfully hate (probably because their mommy and daddy taught them to hate) Nothing has been done to outlaw this idealism. It hasn't had a place in America for 150+ years, and all the weak elected officials won't stand up to these groups. Yet, as usual, It's Trumps fault.

If hate groups want to hide behind "freedom of speech" then if their speech doesn't afford all the freedoms of the constitution and the bills of rights to everyone, it should be banned. To protect and defend the constitution of the United States, against all enemies, foreign and domestic. They are not just enemies to those they hate, but all that support this great country, and her constitution. They are enemies of entire races and our lawmakers need to pass legislation to outlaw these domestic enemies. That is how you shut down hate groups.

Remember, this isn't banning freedom of speech, this is about shutting down those who would disrupt a nation, and terrorize the innocent with hatred, all under the guise of "freedom of speech"

Well after years of putting down and trying to guilt the working class while putting non-citizens before them, the Democrats have been losing seats every election.  We'll see if that trend continues in these areas where the elected Democrats are actively campaigning to remove historic monuments over delicate sensibilities.

At the rate the media is going trying to rile up the far-left and ridicule anyone who disagrees with them, all they're doing is keeping the fears of what a country with them in control would be like and motivating non-Democrats to vote Republican.  The D's are going to be hit hard next year.

After spending all day yesterday describing why the things he said and the way he said them paint the picture of a racist I have come to the conclusion that this speaks to the core of the split in America.

This event is not the time for "whataboutism" . Trump's not wrong, there is blame to place on both sides and noone is saying there isnt.. What there isnt however is "very fine people" on both sides in Charlottesville. One side was a bunch of racists, ive quoted it several times but the comedian Chris Rock tweeted out "if 10 guys think its ok to hang with 1 nazi, you have 11 nazis".

The fact that people are trying to make this a political, left vs right issue leaves me fearing greatly for our near future.

Nah , just pointing out the reality of the situation. Trump's bluster might have had an effect but it was the works of diplomats which actually calmed this storm, for now.

I think you have been watching too much MSN.

Every Left-Wing media outlet ALWAYS spin EVERYTHING in the most negative way possible because they want Trump gone, and have since last November. They just double-down on the stupid and I honestly think they are trying to get some nutcase to go out and kill the guy

No media needed. I watched the presser myself, with my jaw hanging and my head shaking the whole time.

Much like general kelly was :

It does crack me up that We're told Trump incited the Alt-Right Neo Nazis to have a demonstration, which led to a bunch of far-Left demonstrators to show up, which led to some idiot running over people, and it is Trump's fault. And, when Trump was campaigning for President, and Leftist demonstrators showed up to protest, and THEY got violent with the GOP attendees. It was always Trump's fault. Those people who went there to protest the people on the Right, knowing full well they were putting themselves into a potentially violent situation, have zero blame to carry. Or so the Media is desperately trying to make it seem.

It will end when enough sane people stand and resist the madness.  The problem is that the voices of the sane, the rational, can't be heard over the media-amplified lies and distortions.  I firmly believe this is a globalist driven coup attempt.  The masks have fallen and the long knives are out.  Some entity is pushing for violence on an unprecedented scale.  I believe it will be in the interests of that entity to bring chaos to the streets of America.  The sad, disturbing fact that is becoming apparent is that accomplishing this goal is all too easy.  I feel a perfect storm building.  Threats of global war, economic woes, and civil disturbances all potentially peaking at the same time could lead to a nation with an irreparably shattered self -image, a loss of faith.  We're beginning to see the reality of what our government has become and at the same time, realizing that laws are only as strong as the willingness to obey them.

The problem is that those who are "Sane People" are Conservative, and thus are going to be labeled Racist, Sexist, Islamophobic, Homophobic, hate-mongers. So, it isn't going to happen. There is now almost a three part divide of the nation, with a third being Conservative, and generally supporting Trump and the GOP. A third being Liberal, and generally being against Trump and anything that might be mud slung at his direction. And a third who are the swing, who generally don't give a rip about politics at all.

The key will be to get those middle uncaring voters on your side. Those are the people who will have to care about getting a lid on Identity Politics.

I have to agree. Once the open "obvious" triggers are gone, the Snowflakes will start going after anything else that triggers them. Maybe the red heads or left hander?

Like the North Carolina governor said, "The racism and deadly violence in Charlottesville is unacceptable but there is a better way to remove these monuments.".

Are we going to go back to mob rule of the streets?

I agree there needs to be a plan for removing these monuments. Personally I like the idea of moving them to confederate cemeteries and replacing them with monuments to all who died during the civil war without mentioning either side.

It has nothing to do with snowflakes though, its just about taking the time and energy to put yourself in the shoes of those who were viewed as subhuman, and how they view monuments to the men willing to give their lives to keep their race classified as such.

Noone would ask jews to walk past a statue of hitler as they go through their daily lives right? I dont understand why the same logic isnt applied here.

I think it is possible that  it was done by someone at random.   The message they wrote is not really interpreted, by me,  to be from skinheads or snowflakes.

I hope they catch the prick and throw the book at them.

Perhaps but his point is still very accurate. As Chaos Rose said in another thread good people would have seen the nazis and klansmen and said nope **** this im out.

There were no "very fine people" on the side of the nazis , there were no "very fine people" on the side of the Klan and there are no "very fine people" on the side of the neo nazis.

Well, you may have quoted it several times, and it SOUNDS kinda neat, but.. it's still nonsense I'm afraid. :)

Try changing the subject of the sentence a little....

"If 10 guys think it's OK to hang with 1 convicted murderer, then you have 11 convicted murderers."

"If 10 guys think it is OK to hang with 1 floccinaucinihilipilificationist, then you have 11 floccinaucinihilipilificationists."

"If 10 guys think it is OK to hang with 1 qualified airline pilot, then you have 11 qualified airline pilots"

I mean, talk about guilt by association.

No dude "qualified airline pilots" dont have a code they live their life by that includes discriminating/murdering/ostracizing someone based on their heritage or skin color.

By associating with racists you are granting legitimacy to their worldview. By standing arm in arm with them you are giving them power and approving of their worldview through your actions.

Do you really not see that?

The comedian referred to "hanging with...", which implies casual social relationships, rather than any public association. I wouldn't share a political platform with people who hold racist political positions, but I wouldn't ostracise a friend who held racist views, providing they didn't dominate his/her discourse or behavior.

Having said that, if somebody was genuinely a Nazi - in the sense of promoting the former political agenda of the National Socialist Workers Party of Germany, then... no... I would not want to associate with them at ANY level.

So then, in terms of the Charlottesville riot, could you annotate some photographs of the event for me, indicating which of the people in the crowd desire to annexe the Sudentenland and repudiate the Treaty of Versailles ? :P

Truth is until you talk to every person that was there, you have no idea what there motives are. To assume every person there is a racist is short sighted and bigoted.

I also notice you don't seem to call out the violent communist thugs holding flags with hammer and sickle on them.

I don't believe for a second that every person on the left that was there are violent communist thugs. Just as evil as any racist.

Though im guessing you must believe that's true, or you are holding people to a double standard.

Either that or you do believe they were all violent communist thugs, but you actually support that.
