Camp Crystal Lake Open to Limited Tours

A few lucky horror fans will live out their dream – or nightmare – with a tour of the New Jersey camp where “Friday the 13th” was filmed on the titular day this October.

Released in 1980, the original film takes place at the fictional Camp Crystal Lake. The actual setting is Warren County’s Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco, owned by the Boy Scouts of America, and not open to the public.




After being mostly off limits for decades, the original ‘Friday the 13th’ shooting locations are opening to the public. Steve Christy is at it again!

Camp counselors, get ready for Friday the 13th like never before.

According to Bloody-Disgusting, the upcoming Friday the 13th is getting even better. After restricting access to millions of slasher fans, the original shooting locations are opening up. Taking place Oct. 13, Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco is offering a chance to touch movie royalty. The event marks the fourth time the camp is welcoming the public since 1980.
