Released in 1980, the original film takes place at the fictional Camp Crystal Lake. The actual setting is Warren County’s Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco, owned by the Boy Scouts of America, and not open to the public.

According to Bloody-Disgusting, the upcoming Friday the 13th is getting even better. After restricting access to millions of slasher fans, the original shooting locations are opening up. Taking place Oct. 13, Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco is offering a chance to touch movie royalty. The event marks the fourth time the camp is welcoming the public since 1980.
